The Patriach clearly stated that death was an outcome for those that couldn't survive, but didn't mention that luck was required. Even if he did, though, it wouldn't change anything. It was his experience that humans didn't care about somethings when interests where involved. At this moment, the focus of the elders had already shifted, while he had other thoughts.

After the old man left, he used the formation in the room, making it hard for anyone to spy on him.

"Scorpion! Come out!" As he called out, a figure appeared from the corner of the room.

"Not bad! Your camouflage ability has gone to even greater heights. That is good, because I have a task for you." He spoke with an authoritative tone.
