chapter --4" The Hunt Behind"

Aiden and Mia left the alleyway, their minds reeling with the possibilities and dangers that lay ahead. They walked in silence, each lost in their thoughts. Aiden couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched, and Mia couldn't shake the feeling of dread that settled in her stomach.

As they walked through the city, Aiden's mind raced with the task ahead. Retrieving the talisman was no small feat. He knew he had to be careful, precise, and quick. If he failed, he would not only lose his chance to find the person he was looking for, but he could also be placing himself and Mia in grave danger.

Mia, on the other hand, was overwhelmed by the idea of immortality. She couldn't imagine the kind of power it would give someone. And if Lilith was after the talisman, what was she planning to do with it?

As they walked, Aiden's senses were heightened, every sound and movement catching his attention. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

"Mia, do you feel that?" he asked, his voice low.

Mia nodded, her heart racing. "Yeah. It feels like we're being followed."

Aiden quickened his pace, scanning the streets around them. Suddenly, he caught a glimpse of movement out of the corner of his eye.

"Stay here," he said, his voice firm. "I'll check it out."

Mia nodded, her heart pounding as she watched Aiden disappear into the shadows. She knew she should have gone with him, but the thought of facing whatever danger was lurking in the darkness terrified her.

As she waited, she heard the sound of footsteps approaching. She turned, ready to run, but was met with a figure emerging from the shadows.

"Mia?" the figure asked, his voice low.

Mia gasped, recognizing the voice. "James? What are you doing here?"

James stepped into the light, revealing his handsome face and sharp features. "I heard about your encounter with the vampire. I wanted to make sure you were okay."

Mia felt a sense of relief wash over her. James was a familiar face, someone she had known for years. He was a werewolf, and had always been a protector of sorts.

"I'm fine," she said, her voice trembling. "But Aiden's gone to check something out. I think we're being followed."

James's eyes narrowed, his senses heightened. "Stay here. I'll go find him."

Mia nodded, watching as James disappeared into the darkness. She felt a sense of comfort knowing that James was out there, protecting her.

As she waited, her mind raced with all the possibilities and dangers that lay ahead. She couldn't imagine what Aiden was facing out there, what kind of danger he was up against. She felt a pang of guilt, knowing that she should have gone with him, but at the same time, she knew she would have been no help in a fight.

Suddenly, she heard the sound of growling and roaring, from where the james had gone for search of Aiden, but she didn't know that vampires and werewolves couldn't get along, that they were mortal enemies. then She turned, ready to run, but was met with James emerging from the shadows, fighting Aiden. But it wasn't a full moon so Aiden was more powerful than james. And hit a very hard punch on james (the wolf).

After got beaten by Aiden, james just couldn't let go of Mia with Aiden. Because james doesn't trust Aiden. Suddenly Mia came in between both of them fighting furiously, and both stopped fighting after having Mia in front of them,

"Mia, are you okay?" Aiden asked, his voice filled with concern.

Mia nodded, relieved to see him unharmed. "I'm fine. Then she saw james attacking Aiden, she went furious on james, and asked him to leave immediately

James hesitated and asked Mia, are you okay?

Mia furiously replied - I am, don't worry about me?

After the incident Aiden an Mia started walking in the alley where

Aiden's face was grim. "We're being followed. I think Lilith has sent someone after us."

Mia felt a sense of dread wash over her. If Lilith had sent someone after them, they were in grave danger.

"What do we do?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Aiden's eyes were narrowed in thought as he considered their options. "We need to be cautious. We can't let anyone else know what we're doing."

Mia nodded, feeling a sense of unease settle in her stomach. She knew they were in over their heads, but she also knew they couldn't give up now. "What's our next move?"

Aiden took a deep breath, his eyes flickering with determination. "We need to start by gathering information. We need to find out as much as we can about this talisman, about the witch who guards it, and about Lilith herself. We can't afford to go into this blindly."

Mia nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was glad that Aiden was taking a cautious approach. She didn't want to put them in any more danger than they already were.

"Okay," she said, her voice steady. "Where do we start?"

Aiden's lips twisted into a wry smile. "I think I know just the person to talk to."

Mia raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Who?"

"A friend of mine. He's a collector of supernatural artifacts. He might know something about this talisman."

Mia nodded, feeling a glimmer of hope. "Okay. Let's go talk to him."

As they made their way through the darkened streets, Mia couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. She knew that they were walking into a dangerous situation, but she also knew that they had no choice. They had to find the talisman, no matter what the cost.

They arrived at a small, run-down shop on the outskirts of town. Aiden pushed open the door and they were greeted by the musty smell of old books and artifacts.

A small, wiry man with wild hair and thick glasses emerged from the back room. He looked up at them with a curious expression.

"Aiden! What brings you here?" he said, his voice high-pitched and nasal.

Aiden approached him, his face serious. "We need your help, Theo. We're looking for a talisman. One that has the power to grant immortality."

Theo's eyes widened in surprise. "Immortality? That's a tall order. What makes you think I can help you?"

Aiden leaned in close, his eyes intense. "I know you collect supernatural artifacts, Theo. And I know you have connections. We need to find out everything we can about this talisman. Can you help us?"

Theo looked at them for a moment before nodding slowly. "I might be able to help. But it won't be easy. The kind of people who deal with these kinds of artifacts are not the kind of people you want to mess with."

Mia felt a sense of unease settle in her stomach. She didn't like the sound of that. "What do you mean?"

Theo shrugged. "There are a lot of dangerous people out there. People who will do anything to get their hands on powerful artifacts. If you're not careful, you could end up getting hurt. Or worse."

Aiden's jaw clenched. "We don't have a choice. We have to find this talisman. Whatever the cost."

Theo regarded him with a critical eye. "Well, I admire your determination. I'll see what I can do. But you need to be careful. This kind of thing is not for the faint of heart."

Mia felt a sense of dread wash over her as they left the shop. She knew that their journey was far from over and that they were getting themselves into more danger than they could imagine. But she also knew that they couldn't give up. They had to keep going.
