Family Addition~

Friday morning, right before the lunch hour, Kakucho decided to pay our family a visit, Izana was accompanying him on this important life-changing trip. Once I noticed them walking by our house from my room window, I ran downstairs to launch the door open and greet them both.

"Welcome, welcome, dear lawful citizen. I always knew you were a reasonable person." I commented the second half looking in Kakucho's direction while nodding my head in approval because he lived to see the light. Yet all I got in return was a disrespectful scoff.

"The only reason for my urgent visit is to find out what exactly you told Izana for him to push me to accept your proposal." He seemed on guard, a little on edge. I looked in his friend's direction trying to figure out if he knew what his deal was but Izana just shrugged his shoulders, and then it finally hit me. Perhaps he had trust issues because I shared the knowledge of what the system was truly capable of. Maybe he wondered if I had done unspeakable things to his king.

"Listen Kakucho... I don't have the powers to brainwash people's minds you know, if Izana decided to encourage you to accept this offer it must mean he cares a whole lot about you and would you like to have a family that you can rely on, now when he himself reconnected with his, don't you think?" Silence engulfed us until Kakucho broke it by saying.

"You pinky promise?" While holding up his little finger.

"Wait a damn moment, you really believed I would be influenced by some media-core system? Please I'm not that weak." Izana seemed pissed to be underestimated this much.

"But I told you how it made me believe Michi was my childhood friend and even implanted fake memories inside my head," Kakucho argued.

"It's better to be safe than sorry." He added.

"Although those memories were fake they were a true portrayal of how I was as a kid... anyway all the system wanted was some overrated childhood story to play with, so worry not it won't brainwash you to make you accept this deal you know, it's up to you to make that decision." He sighed in relief.

"Fine so be it, I can live with your family for now. And make a decision later." Finally some words of approval, we were making progress. So I put my hands on his shoulders while loudly proclaiming.

"Welcome to your new home, brother." Then when I finally let him inside I yelled toward the center of the house.

"Mom, Kazutora, the mission of acquiring a new brother has been completed, time to move onto the next stage!" Kakucho looked at me mortified, while Izana found this situation amusing. Mom and Kazutora came running as they spread out their findings onto the kitchen table where we all gathered soon after.

"What is the meaning of this?" He was looking up and down at all the house photos and listings we acquired so far.

"You see Kakucho dear since our home is too little for everyone to have their own separate room and because we have plenty of money we were thinking of moving out," Mom explained briefly as Kakucho was shocked by her excitement on the matter.

"But... I can always share a room... there is no need to go that long to accommodate me." He let out as mom whipped a book she recently bought which was of a western release talking about how to raise teenagers.

"But you see, this book clearly states that every growing kid needs their own private space." I nodded my head agreeing with the concept.

"Yep, because it's not like we live in the countryside where you can walk to the forest to get some space right? So all we can do is give you your own separate room, in this economy." The last bit of the sentence was meant to be said as a meme. Obviously, no one here knew the context so I had to explain it.

"Anyway, you need it to collect your own personal trinkets and shiny objects." I nodded my head.

"What I am a crow?"

"Well I haven't seen you naked... so I can't exclude the possibility yet... that you're in fact not a bunch of crows dressed in human skin." I narrowed my eyes at him as he shook his head in disbelief.

"I'm not beside that's a quite disturbing image."

"That's what a bunch of guilty crows would say... you seem all more suspicious."After this silly interaction however we went back to discuss our new house purchase, and Izana gave his own comments on some of them.

"What if we just buy the house next to ours and have us kids live there instead?" I asked thinking this to be an excellent idea.

"But wouldn't our parents need to pay two separate bills, it sounds more expensive than having one unit." Kazutora pointed out, so he decided to become responsible with his money?

"You do have a point."  But I only suggested such a possibility because it felt like our parents were somehow deeply attached to this house. As the discussions kept on extending I decided to finally ask Izana.

"So how is your stay at Sano residence?"

"They decided to give me one of the rooms, but before we can redecorate anything they let me sleep in Mikey's room."

"So did I do a good job pushing for this idea faster?" I asked smiling in his direction.

"Honestly I felt like a cattle that were being sold, during the process." He admitted.

"Ohh my sweet summer child, I would never, I just wanted you to have the opportunity while not putting grandpa Sano thru any financial crisis. I know you will probably find some work eventually, but for now, I want you to enjoy your time with your siblings." He just sighed.

"Oh come on, you reconnected with your siblings, I have a new brother to annoy, everyone is happy." Kakucho rose his brow when I mentioned the annoying part, but before Izana could add anything to this conversation a mission popped up.

'Would you rather pat Izana Kurokawa's head or treat Kakucho like a baby?' To light up the atmosphere my plan was to take a hold of my target and throw him into the air, as fathers sometimes did with their kids to initiate play.

"Oh shit sorry... you nearly hit the ceiling, I forgot to take my actual strength into account." Since I wasn't out fighting anyone each time my points rose, it was safe to say sometimes I lacked an understanding of my own capabilities.

"How strong are you even?" He asked dumbfounded, but I could tell a new spark entered his eyes, don't tell me someday in the future he would request a fight from me.

'Would you rather ignore Kakucho's question and break into a song, or square it up with the table, splitting it in half and showing everyone in this room who is the true alpha here?' Was Venus spewing bullshit by this point to entertain itself the last few days it has to annoy me, but frankly I wasn't even sure if this thing would leave my side just because I accumulated all the points?

So I cleared my throat and started to sing Rasputin, adding an additional performance in form of a dance. The two guests seemed perplexed until mom explained that they should get used to this behavior.

However having a lot of fun, I decided to change the lyrics to the Genshin Impact version, with Tartaglia's name being part of the text. After finishing I put my hands in prayer while remising about the past.

"Yes, this brought so many good memories of my gacha crippling addiction." And then proceeded to follow it with this quote.

"Osmanthus wine tastes the same as I remember, but where are those who share the memory." Which seemed kind of true considering no one yet knew about the game.

"Gacha crippling addiction? What?" I think the addiction part was quite worrying for both mom and Kazutora.

"Well, how do I explain it... in a few years there be a lot of games that will market themself to be free that will ask you to make in-game purchases instead. As one YouTuber said you pay money to own a bunch of pixels." And then I went on a full rant about the game I played and the mechanics behind it before Izana intercepted.

"And how do you know of all of this?"

"Did I forget to mention the part where I came from a timeline more than ten years from now?" He nodded his head confirming the fact.

"Oh well, now you know. I guess I shared different versions of my full story with different people so it's hard to keep track."

"There is more to it?" He asked as I nodded my head in agreement.

"Yep, a time traveler from another dimension with a system at hand," I admitted proudly.

"Wait how do you know this is another dimension?" Izana asked, he sure was using his head to full capacity today.

"Well, it's a secret," I said putting my finger on my lips, making it seem like I was shushing him.

"Does Kakucho know?" I shook my head in denial.

"How about your family?" Did he think he could convince Kazutora to share the tale? But I shook my head again, shocking everyone present.

"Perhaps I will share it with you once you're close to your death."

"Wait a moment, you haven't shared it with us?" Kazutora looked quite offended.

"Well sometimes ignorance is bliss, I wouldn't want to shatter your reality and mess with your mind. Which could be considered a side effect if I did... therefore I only conveyed this special information to someone that wouldn't be phased by the whole ordeal. Since they are already done with life." Big brother started to think deeply, trying to figure it out.

"Wait... you mean Wakasa?" I wasn't too sure how he came to this conclusion so quickly, therefore I couldn't just stop myself from complimenting him.

"You're quite smart when you put effort into the task." I praised him and nodded my head. He just laughed nervously, I guess he liked his intelligence to be complimented.

"I mean you could ask him yes, but at your own risk... and don't come to me when you need more therapy visits after the fact."

"You seem quite serious... I guess I shall stay away from that knowledge then."

"Good." Since it was already after lunch hours I decided to suggest a trip to a restaurant. We visited a sushi conveyor belt place, and that's when the system asked me to challenge someone to a food competition. I did, Kazutora, but the others joined too. I won but was out of commission for the next couple of hours afterward by receiving a food coma.
