DEVIL'S MANAGER

BARDENCOCK CITY, DARK ALLEY, DAY

In the dark alley, that has just been destroyed in the fight between Shawn and Possessed Stacy, we see two people preparing for another battle amidst the collapsed buildings. Shawn and PACHINKO. They both stare at each other, Pachinko giving out a cruel smile as purple energy swells around him.

In a second, all hell let loose again. Shawn against PACHINKO. Shawn pumps demon piercing rounds from his shotgun towards the incoming Pachinko who dodges it and throws a demonic blast that hits Shawn real bad in the chest. The fight continues. Shawn keeps shooting at Pachinko but his bullets either keep bouncing back or keeps getting dodged. Shawn is taking blasts.

All of a sudden, everywhere goes dark. Pure darkness fills everywhere. Shawn is confused but he doesn't show it

PACHINKO

Scared aren't you. You must be feeling the darkness around you.... it's growing....in unmeasurable amount. I have trapped you and I in this place. Note....you can't see here because you haven't unlocked the holy energy in your eyes to see through this darkness.

Shawn checks his wrist device and sees the

SHAWN

You have trapped me in Lardackai. Haven't you?

PACHINKO

That's right...Lardackai. Father Aaron must have told the horror stories of this place...no Exorcist has made it out alive. Lardackai was created by God himself. It was this place that God wanted to plant hellfire at first but he changed his mind and now it's mine to control.

Shawn is still determined even after the horrific beating and then all of a sudden, he dips his hands into his pocket and brings out a pack of cigarettes. He takes out a cigar and lights it with the energy from his coin. He sticks it in his mouth and takes a quick drag, the smoke from the cigar becomes purple.

SHAWN

Do you smoke?

PACHINKO

Why ask when we should be getting into the fight?

SHAWN

Do you smoke?

PACHINKO

....

PACHINKO is shocked at the sudden question

SHAWN

Do you fucking smoke?

PACHINKO

Hell no.

SHAWN

Have you heard of the light fish?

PACHINKO

No..

SHAWN

A fish whose scales can produce a motherfucking light bright enough to see through all forms of darkness.

The purple smoke from the cigar begins to glow very bright. so bright that it illuminates the darkness surrounding him. He is now able to see everything around him.

We now see the danger around him. PACHINKO is standing a few metres away from Shawn and surrounding them are seven eight horned demons with hot larva dripping out of their eye holes

PACHINKO

Very brilliant boy....you've proven your self a worthy warrior. Now it's time for you to die. Fortunately for you I won't have to do the killing....I'll let my little friends handle you while I go get my sister.

Shawn has secretly finished loading his gun. He leaps into the air taking the shot...making sure the bullet goes straight into the head. Pachinko's head explodes on contact with the bullet. The larva beasts attack Shawn immediately as Pachinko's body falls to the ground. It is then that Shawn reveals his most powerful weapon.... Shawn reveals a machete below coat. He brings it out and charges at the incoming demons.

It's a big larva bath as Shawn takes the demons out. The machete is cutting through their stone thick armor. Shawn is about to land the last blow when everything suddenly goes back to normal. What isn't normal is the fact that PACHINKO is sitting unscathed right on a bench amidst the rubble that surrounds them enjoying a cup of coffee. It's like there was never a fight between them. Shawn looks around him, he sees Stacy still lying unconscious between them. A mist surrounds them blocking them from seeing the outside world.

PACHINKO

Surprised?

OUTSIDE THE MIST...

Outside the mist, several police cars lie on the roads, lots of police officers with pistols in their hands stay behind the doors of the police cars awaiting instruction from the higher command. The buildings destroyed during Shawn and Stacy's fight must have attracted the cops (see chapter 5). Lots of other security agencies have surrounded the whole perimeter. About a hundred police men. Among the crowded cops, a particular one catches our attention. A female cop probably in her late twenties with a bob hairstyle and a golden badge on her black coat. She is seen trying to push through. This woman is Megan, the Sherrif of Bardencock

MEGAN

Don't shoot!! ....don't shoot....can't you see what is happening?

She is pushing through the crowd when a hand grabs her and slams her into a near by building. She recovers from the shock and looks up to see another cop. A white haired man wearing mufti with the golden badge on his chest. His name is Anthony.

ANTHONY

I'm sorry...I can't let you expose us!!

MEGAN

Tony....this is it...the big opportunity.... whatever's in there isn't normal. There's been multiple sightings of paranormal activities but we don't have strong evidence. According to those who lived here, they said they saw two gigantic fire balls crashing.....wait what did you say....oh damn it...freeze!

Megan pulls out her automatic dessert eagle aiming it at Anthony

MEGAN

So you're one of them...you...you piece of shit...

ANTHONY

Hopefully, our conversation here will buy them some time to get out...before being caught...look just hear me out Megan....please just hear me...

Stacy's subconscious....

Stacy is in a trance. There, we see a beautiful paradise. Lots of tall trees and short beautiful grasses filled with flowers and colorful birds. A river flows right through this wonderland with fishes constantly leaping out. There we see Stacy lying down on the grass unconscious until a bird comes down pecking on her nose boom, she wakes up. She inhales deeply as she sits up and looks around her to see the serene environment. She stands up and sees that she is wearing a white robe and nothing more.

STACY

Where am I?...

Stacy walks down into the woods. She keeps studying her environment. Something feels off but she can't tell. All off a sudden, the flashes of the past events come sipping into her head. She remembers herself standing in front of her restaurant and then more and more flashes till she just can't take it anymore. She screams at the top of her voice as a hand touches her shoulders.

UNKNOWN VOICE

Do not fear child. You're in purgatory.

BACK IN THE MIST...

Shawn stands metres away from Pachinko who sits still enjoying a cup of coffee

PACHINKO

You actually thought I would bring my self so low to your stupid level right. Everything you saw since the beginning of our fight was an illusion. I've been sitting here enjoying my coffee while you fought your way out of the darkness. I could have just grabbed my sister and left. But I'm reasonable and once again... I'm not stupid. I came here to talk.

SHAWN

Why do you fucking keep calling her your sister? I barely know her but she never looked like she had a brother. Nor did she speak of a fucking brother.

PACHINKO

Father Aaron must have told you the wrong side of the story. Or maybe he just lied to you.

SHAWN

Father Aaron would never lie!!!

PACHINKO

My father and your father were counterparts. They were Exorcists....powerful ones. They were trained by the treacherous Father Aaron. They accomplished a lot until doomsday came. The devil's portal was finally opening and he was going to reveal himself. The only way to stop it is by using fifty gigatons of holy energy....something only my father possesses due to his lineage....my father could have easily offered his energy to save the world....but....it would drain his soul. He refused because he has me and my sister to cater for. Then here comes Father Aaron who forcefully stole all my father's energy using a banned holy spell...one you could only find in the Luciferine(see chapter 3). He gave your father who in turn used it to save the world. My father was just gone....forgotten....buried....while your father got the credit. The same thing will happen to you Shawn. That coin you hold was supposed to be given to me but Father Aaron hid us all away from the world. He knew Stacy even before this whole "find" Stacy thing started.

FLASH BACK

We flashback to when Father Aaron told Shawn about the Hellace( see chapter 4)

FATHER AARON

Your coin is called the hellace. Your father was supposed to give this to a friend's son but...he went astray so he chose you instead

Back to the present...

Shawn remembers this and realizes that PACHINKO is speaking the truth..

SHAWN

So...you must be the friend's son that Father Aaron was talking about...

PACHINKO

They will use you Shawn...you and my sister. The eternal council needs to be stopped. I possessed my sister with Borouke so I could get your attention. I knew you were going to show up.

SHAWN

What about her?

Shawn points to Stacy lying on the ground

PACHINKO

She's fine. I have personal issues with Lucifer so he has probably hijacked my sister to the sub realm and lied to her that she is in purgatory. He'll return her...don't worry.

SHAWN

You're the devil's manager?

PACHINKO

I needed his power to stop the Eternal Council. Once I'm done, I'll drop the orb. You see I'm a reasonable person Shawn. I'm not evil....I'm not bad....I just need... revenge...

SHAWN

You are talking like you need me....why are you here PACHINKO?

PACHINKO

Only those who can harness their holy energy have the ability to open a portal to the eternal library. You are experienced...I just need you to open that portal for me and I'll consider your sins and father's sins forgiven. I'll just have to deal with Father Aaron and the council members. So...what's it gonna be...Shawn?

SHAWN

...

Shawn is thinking of what to do. He can't betray the Eternal Council. Those who trained him since his father died. But he just couldn't believe Father Aaron would do such a thing. He has been nice to him though

SHAWN

I....I...

PACHINKO

Uh...no...zip it...I don't expect an answer from you yet. I'll leave you to think...are you gonna side with those who killed my father and will probably kill you or are you gonna....be my ally? Think wisely Shawn....you're an intelligent little fucker as you would love to say it.... I'll be back in a few days.

PACHINKO, stand up and opens a purple portal with his orb. He wears his hood and turns to leave through the portal. He suddenly stops and turns back

PACHINKO

Take care of my sister...I don't want her to see what I have become....

Pachinko enters into the portal and disappears leaving Shawn and unconscious Stacy.

OUTSIDE THE MIST

More police cars fill the streets and more cops linger around the area waiting for anyone who caused the mist to come out.

NEARBY BUILDING...

We see Megan and Anthony walking back in a hurry as Megan receives a radio call.

MEGAN(into radio)

You're staying...uh...yeah....Shawn...did you just say Shawn?

UNKNOWN VOICE FROM RADIO

Yes ma'am... Shawn.

Megan and Anthony get back to the scene to see Shawn walk out of the mist carrying unconscious Stacy. Megan abandons Anthony and runs towards Shaw.

MEGAN

Somebody get an ambulance!!....

SHAWN

No...no...you know what's happening... Tony told you didn't he...

MEGAN

....

SHAWN

He told you about the secret eternal council.....

MEGAN

M...YEAH

SHAWN

I need to get to the church.... now!!!!
