Chapter Twelve

studies had been going quite well, I was just stressed out for the week, still I haven't gave Sam my reply, I usually twist the question  whenever he brought it up but I have already known the answer am giving," I was going" Emily has gone back back home wish made me feel miserable for sometimes I missed her, actually i love her vibes, i jotted down my last note before standing up to take a break, I would be leaving tomorrow Sunday to the great vacation, we were going to explore the big city of California, our school has been wanting to take a tripe there for so long, because of their medical facilities, my phone rang, I glanced at it, Nancy was calling, "hello girl, I answered, "getting ready for our shopping" she asked, oops!! I totally forgot yeah, we wanted to shop from things we would take to our vacation, what was I thinking, "yeah be ready in few minutes" I answered before disconnecting the call, I rushed to shower when I was done i put on jeans and polo, packing my hair in donut, I grab my jacket in case of cold and walked downstairs, Dad was in the sitting room watching the news, he was actually feeling better now but he still takes his medicine mum as always was in the kitchen, "Mum am going to grab some things at the mall" I called before walking out into the chill air I put on my jacket and strolled to meet Nancy in the nearby chop, as I approach her, I saw her dragging her hand from the man that gripped her wrist, what a terrible people I thought, "Hey! hands off! I shouted, now standing in front of Nancy, " oops! the violent Lady, the other drunken man said and start laughing, "hands off man! before she teaches you a lesson, he continue, I love the way you dealt with the chop keeper that day and also heard how you treated that lousy neighbour of yours I would like to have a wife that is so violent like you, you know....they both laughed, I walked very close to the man now, "i said hands off and carry your drunken friend along with you, he stare at me for some moment before smiling and raising both his hand and walking off, i watched then go before turning to Nancy "Are you OK" I asked, "yeah, thanks for being my hero" she smiled, "Always I replied now laughing. As we walked through the mall, "hey!! a gorgeous looking lady shouted at a client, "you! damn fool, I'll show you, she gave him a dirty slap, the boy fell down and all his carriage fell along side with him, "what the hell!!  Nancy muttered, "am sorry Ma, "sorry for yourself, she kick him before kicking one of his tin's away, definitely the boy was a sales boy, I have meet him here a few times, I know he didn't deserve such treatment melted to him, the worst of all, no one was moving or rendering help to the boy, the tin of flour landed just in front of me, I picked it up and walked toward the boy I didn't pay the lady any attention, I handed him the thin "what's the matter, I asked without caring about the fuming lady behind me," it...it...it was ..just a mistake" he mumbled, "i mistakenly match her foot and am sorry for that, he turned to look at the lady with pleading eye, I turned to her, "it was just a simple mistake, you don't have to treat him this way, " Really..... a simple mistake, she looked at me with disgust on her face, you don't know how much the shoe cost, selling you can't even buy it, she said before walking away from us then I noticed the younger Lady at her back, she was cute though but I wasn't in the  mood to compliment someone, i turned  away from them "Be careful next time not to come across people like her again he nodded, I had enough for today, I pray for the shopping to end so that I'll go and embrace my bed, rich people always treat middle class people as rag just because they were blessed with riches, I wished I had given the lady a piece of me, but....Sam was he different, I couldn't help thinking.

when our shopping was done we decided to grab some quick  lunch in the cafeteria, "you seem lost since your encounter with that Lady, I turned away from my food to stare at Nancy, " I think so" I took a bite from my burger before gazing at it again, "spit it out" I looked at her again, I can't stop thinking if all rich and affluent people are this mean and wicked" I poked, "OK I understand, I just can't say, but you know our rich neighbour, sometimes act as if they can fly, rich people and their drama" I laughed, you're thinking about Sam now, right? I nodded, "you know he asked me to you know .....travel with him this vacation, actually his staying there also, for work purpose" I told her and allow her stare at me for a while, "you know when your done staring at me, you can give me some advice, " OK am done" she laughed, "you were wondering, if he also mean and arrogant, you can find out through this vacation" she replied smiling, "I hope so". " Awww you have already given it a thought" she said dreamily which made me to wink at her, " now am ready to hear about your rich neighbour who act as if they could fly" I laughed taking a bite out of my burger and wait for Nancy to begin.​
