Chapter Hundred and fifty six

Gina watched Tara as she stood and made her way to her. "Tell me everything Gina and.... I'll be so kind enough to help your family pay off the debt you guys are owing.

Tara smiled victoriously as she watched her. "What if I say no" Tara gave a smirk and bend toward her then I'll make your life miserable.

Gina took a deep breath, not understanding what Tara really meant, she was Sunny's mum, well....not her real mum but of course Sunny is very close to her and she was sure that she wouldn't hide anything from her.

Gina swallowed hard and watched the woman standing in front of her "I can stand up here and walk out of here"

"Tell me Gina, what don't you understand, I'm going to make your life miserable and don't think I'm just joking  with you because you're going crawl back to my office with so much tears then.... I wouldn't be able to help"

Gina shut her eyes, Of course the last she'll want now was to be in anyone black book and telling Tara this irrelevant thing she thought was important was important would save her family from becoming homeless. 

She opened back her eyes and took a deep breath. "You promise that you're going to help my family pay off the debt?  

"Of course child, I've never gone back on my word before, so.... be rest assured that I won't now" she smiled at her as she made her way back to her seat.

The only thing she need is a small threat and payment to compensate her fear, she chuckled inwardly and sat down to listen to what she have to say.

"Hey" Rebecca looked up to find Nancy  "Hi, she smiled and went over to hug her sister "I heard what happened from John". Rebecca nod with a smile. 

"I didn't know that she would do such thing". "I'm sorry sis, I know how excited you were to meet her". "But it turns out that she finally stood me up.

Nancy just stared at me without saying anything but I see she was hurt like I was. "She wanted to pay me back because she thought I abandoned her, because she thought I never cared about her"

Rebecca stood up and went over to pour out wine on both glasses. "I just wish she'll give time to explain that tell her that I'm nothing like her so called parents has described to her.

"I think Sunny would realize how wrong she was when she eventually finds out that the people she had called her parents has been lying to her, her whole life"

Rebecca sighed and handed a glass to Nancy while she gulped down drink. "Do you still think she'll give me the chance to explain and make everything right". 

"Of course, no matter how hard she tries to run or hide that you're not her mother, she'll finally come to learn the truth one way or the other.....

"You seem happy this evening? Sam asked Tara who sat at the balcony with a smile on her face. "You might as well share with me what's the secret". 

"Nothing much" Tara smiled at her husband. "Just a little thing I need to rest tidy up". "And if I may ask.... What is that you must tidy off". 

"Gina, Sunny's friend gave me a very knowledgeable information that I need to take care of even though she might think it wasn't useful, she did a good job my telling me and I think the only problem I have to take care of now is Andrew, I have to make sure, he stay away from Sunny"

"I'm proud you have a solution" Sam smiled, he was not going to lose Sunny for anything and he'll make sure that Rebecca dies of anger and sorrow.

"Of course, I'll always have a solution and I assure you that Sunny would always be our child" 

"That's great, I have a conference that I need to attend and also Rebecca is going to show up too, I have to be careful around that woman since she's now deadly.....

"Where were you yesterday? Sunny nudge Gina who has sat quietly all this while with them without saying a word.

"Hmm" Gina turned toward them in a confuse state. "Sunny was asking you why you didn't come to school yesterday?

"Um mm, I...I....". "Why are you stammering? Jade ask as they both watched her. "Nothing....just that yesterday I had something to take care of?

"Something that you cannot share with your friends? Sunny posed her hands to her hips while she watched her friend in suspicion. "No, is not like..... It a kinda family matter.....secret.....confidential....

"It okay, we understand no need to say more" Jade chuckled. Sunny kept her her eyes fixed on her and finally shrugged. "Why don't we go get some snacks, I'm hungry for one".

"Okay if you say so but I hope you're fine because you're acting really strange now". "Of course, I'm fine, just a little hungry and tired" 

"Let's go eat then" Jade dragged both of them toward the canteen, Sunny was returning to her normal self and she want it to stay this way.

Gina watched both of her friends, she has become a spy among them. She did not want to be a traitor but what could she do while she has been threatened by Sunny's mum....

Even if she told Sunny would she believe that the woman she loves so much has threatened to make her life miserable if she didn't do as she had instructed.

"U mm mm... Gina stopped and turned to Sunny. "Can I ask you a question?  "Of course, go on". She cleared her tone not knowing how to ask without getting suspicious.

"Have strict..... can your mum be? She asked and waited for the worst. "Why are you asking her that? Jade burst into laughter.

"I just wanted to know, what's wrong with that" "my mum isn't strict....she's kind, sweet, the type of mum you'll pray to have". 

"I mean not to you....her daughter, I meant how strict is she to the workers and minor". Sunny was watched her friend in shock not understanding the reason she was asking about her mum but well.... their was nothing there.

"She's very strict with them but don't get me wrong, she isn't wicked but that's only the get the best from them"

Even with that Gina wasn't satisfied, their was no way she could asked her questions without blurting out the truth to both of her friends.

"Well....does she always keep to get words....like threat or something like that". "You know, it just confusing why you're asking me these things but yes, Tara always keeps to her words, she never goes back....it not threat and like I had said....

The reason she does that is to make sure she brings the best from her minors". "Um mm..okay". "I hope you're done with your questions now let's go and get some snacks, I'm hungry too" Sunny smiled, well sometimes Gina acts this way.

Andrew watched his son as he sketch on his drawing board, he observed for the past weeks the change of mood and attitude and it was because of two reasons, first was his mum and second was Sunny.

He had just wanted to have a little break from all the stress he been through, now....theirs a whole bunch of issues here, first was his wife and other was Rebecca and her daughter Sunny.

He couldn't believe his eyes the first time he recognized Sunny, he had missed her a lot, he never believed that he'll be able to meet her again or have her in his arms.

And meeting her was probably the only way he could meet Rebecca again, get had tried to forget about her for all these years but he found himself still carrying her pictures around and staring at them when nobody was around.

He had loved her so much that despite her leaving him, he didn't bear any grudge or hated her.

He believes that she needed the best even if he meant separating from her "You haven't been yourself for the past few weeks Josh?

If course, he knows that he has been standing there and didn't bothered to turn. "Of course, I haven't been myself because everything hasn't been good since this past weeks". 

"I'm sorry Josh, this isn't the type of break I want us to have..... "Father, this isn't about you being sorry, it doesn't change anything, I just want my mum to be back.....

"And also that you're friendship with Sunny doesn't end like this" Josh turned to Andrew and watched as he gave him a sad smile. 

"Yes, I don't want our friendship to go down this way and also you shouldn't allow mum to leave, you should have done something... Maybe say a word to calm her down..... Just anything"

"And you think she'll listen to me?? Andrew asked as he forced his gaze at his son sketch. "Do you think that your mum would listen to anything I have to say" 

"Then make her believe father" Josh stood from the stool he was sitting. "I... I just want things to be okay and that's having mum back....

Andrew watched the pain and anger in his son's face, the last thing he wants now was for his son to be affected with the decision he and his wife made.

"I'll do my best Josh, your mum would be back, I...I just thought that giving her the space she needed was a good thing"

Josh nodded and made to turn back to his sketch before turning back to his father. "I think before you convince mum to come back, you should go back to Rebecca and settle whatever you have with her.....for the last time"

"Why would you say that?  "You know the truth father, you know that even if you succeed in bringing home my mum, it would not stop being a disaster since Rebecca is still here.....in the country"

Andrew chuckled "You speak more like an elderly friend, thanks son". Josh watched his father as he leaves the room, he hoped that Sunny has settled every problem she have with her mum and if it would make her happy.

He would not give any opinion or question her decision about her mum.....

Andrew paced around the sitting room, he had so much he had to do and anytime he thinks of meeting Rebecca again, he didn't know what kind of emotions to express. 

He jolted back from his thoughts when he heard the door bell ring, he was sure he wasn't expecting anyone.

He made his way to the door and almost got the shock of his life when he saw Tara standing there. "Surprised, I see" Andrew watched her with shock and surprise.

How was this possible and for all the reason in this world, why was she here. "What are you doing here Tara". "What do you think, of course I'm here you pay you a visit".

"Get out! Andrew commands and tried to control the rage and anger he felt seeing this woman at his door uninvited and she would never be after all the pain she have caused to Rebecca.

"Why, you welcomed my daughter in your home why then would you order me to leave and I can't recall having any issues with you Andrew". 

"The day you and your husband took Sunny away from her mother, that same day was the day I started having issues with you and your madness and if you're not going to leave then you're welcome you stand outside here as long as you want!

"Dad" Andrew turned and saw Josh standing behind him. "Hi, you must be Josh, Sunny's friend" Tara smiled at the young man as he stared at her in surprise just as his father have done.

"Mrs Johnson". Josh muttered as he gazed at her but she turned away and focused her gaze back to his father. 

"I have come here to have an important discussion with you and if you think I'll accept the invite to come into this your house or dine with you, Just know that you're mistaken, I have no such intentions.....

I'm just here to tell you for stay away from my daughter, stay .....away....from Sunny, if I ever finds out after this warning that you're still speaking with her, I'm telling you that you won't like the side of me you'll see next"

Andrew laughed as he watched her. "What side of you Tara did you think I haven't seen? The craziness or the stupidity....huh?  

The only one who has to heed a warning is you, don't you think is high time you let Sunny meet her real mum because soon you'll see that all your plan was a failure....just like you"

Tara chuckled as she smooth her head gently. "Released Sunny? Do you think I'm keeping her captive against her will? She laughed this time. 

"You know that's the opposite right? Because you've also seen for yourself that Sunny does not recognize anyone else as her mother if not me, I didn't force her to....

It just that she made her choice willing and appreciated the fact that I'm the one who had taken care of her and act as a mother figure to her and not the woman who disappeared and didn't give a dime"

"Listen, whatever you think you're doing it just a waste of time because I know clearly and I have also seen the bond between those two and nothing you do would ever separate the mother and daughter....

"Mother? Really, Andrew, do you who a mother is and to let you know ik the one who has been her mother all these years and not some sort of stranger because that what Rebecca is and would always be"

Leave my house and never set your foot here again! Andrew glared angrily at her before shutting the door on her face.

Andrew turned and found that Josh was still standing there. "I can't believe that she have the guts to come back here after all she has caused and done"

"Sunny would always be blinded with her lies". "Yes son, I can never had Imagine that Sunny would ever despise of her mother after all she has been through for her.

For some reason, he couldn't explain why he was crying, he remembered that year when Rebecca was still with a child, how she worked to build a home for her baby.

Her hard work and also how everything has crumbled and also that year, she lost her mind in rage, anger and sorrow that was the same year she pushed everyone away and locked her emotions up.

"I won't have it, she can't continue treating her mother this way because I know how much Rebecca had loved and suffered for her, I won't let her continue to treat her this way.....even if we're not more together.
