Chapter Hundred and Eighty

It was like a whole new feeling knowing that she would finally be living with Rebecca, she shut her eyes and tried to imagine what their house was going to look like.

A house where she could live with her real mother, her mother didn't want to tell her. She had told her that it was a surprise, she had waited for a whole two weeks for the house to be ready and now she couldn't believe that they were on their way to the house.

Her cousin had been so sad when they had told them that they will be leaving, she had really had a fun weeks with them. Everyday around them had been really fun, they had drew, play football, build house with sands and toys.

She had tried to make up for being away from their life for so long, she had saw Ben wiping his tears over dinner and pretended he wasn't crying. That had really made her laugh and cry at the same time and Mira, she was such an angel.

She had kissed her goodbye and had cried too while waving at her, she would really miss them. Reading them bed time, spending any free time she gets with them even though she feels it wasn't enough, Sunny had promised them that she would always visit and she would keep her promise.

She wiped the tears that had appeared in her eyes "Are you alright? Rebecca asked beside her "Yeah" she nodded then fel silent again, she hadn't noticed that she had been staring at her.

And last night, she had spend her quiet time with Emily's husband, he was really fun to be with and he even told her the stories about his personal tour.

It sounded so fun and interesting, she just couldn't wait to go to her own tour one day but he had asked her a question that had left her marvel

"Do you know why your mum gave up at last? She had a lot of answers but none of them has seems like the right one and that really made her more curious. She tried answering but always stopped in each sentence, was it because of what she had told her the other day?

Why did she finally give up? It was a question she doesn't know how or what to answer. "Would you fight and stand by your mother just the way she had done all those years? He had asked her again.

"Of course she would do anything fir her mum, she would always stand by her, always and she meant it" "We're home Rebecca reached out to touch her" She snapped her eyes open and looked out the car window... This was their house.

She instantly felt welcome with just a smile she rushed down the car "It...." She turned to her mother who was now standing beside her "It magnificant" "Let go check the inside out then"

Her mother beckoned her, they both walked in and she said she as just lost in admiration, nothing her was compared to Tara's. The hallway, bedrooms, sitting room and the views for outside was heavenly, it was a mountain view and she could really spend her time drawing it.

"You like the view? "I think I'm in love with it" "I'm happy you do really, I was looking for the best...you know for my daughter because you deserve the best" "Thanks mum" Sunny wrapped her arms around her, she couldn't wish for for any more things than this happiness.

They stood there and watched the mountains, it was like a different realm from theirs, Sunny couldn't wait to get her pencils in the paper and draw. "It so beautiful" she continue to mutter, Rebecca's phone rang, interrupting the moment.

"Who is that? "I don't know, it an unknown number" Rebecca stared at her phone for some time and decided to answer it. "Hi Becca" she didn't need to be told who was on the line "What did you want? "It been long, I've heard from you, how's our daughter doing?

"She isn't your daughter Sam! "Of course, she is" "Get the fuck out of my phone! She raged in anger "Don't disconnect the call, the reason I called was to ask for a request...why don't we meet for a dinner...just the both of us?

"You know what? You deserve to burn in hell! "Dad" Sunny said, it wasn't a question because she had already it was him. "What did he say mum? Rebecca turned to look at her daughter, she had known that Sam wouldn't be silent, he would do anything to get her back and that was one thing she'll never allow.

"Nothing important" she walked close and kissed her forehead, why don't you settle in, the servant would get you anything you need, I'll be right back" "You know you can tell me if theirs any problem?

"Sure, I can but like I said, it nothing important" age caressed her daughter's face "It fine, you don't need to worry". "No problem" Sunny muttered and made her way out to her new bedroom.

Her mother had earlier shown her but she had been too excited to look around, her room feels glorious. It was more than beautiful, the king-sized bed, the different artist pictures on the wall.

She fell in love immediately, she turned to the left side of the room and noticed a glass mirror....was it really a mirror. She pressed the button close to it and the blur glass cleared immediately.

It was another room in her bedroom but this room was filled with ...she felt tears in her eyes as she stood staring at the drawing board and paint brush that was neatly arranged. She pushed the door open and walked into the beautiful place that was built for her.

It was like her own personal space, her own love life. This was the most beautiful gift she had ever gotten in her life, it was just the perfect love language without thinking further wl even waiting.

She walked up to the stool and sat, she spent the next few minutes tracing her fingers on the brushes and the board, others might think it was crazy but thus felt like a real connection.

She looked out of the window and admired the trees and plants and after a while she saw herself putting all the pictures together in her head and soon she was drawing. What other thing was better than this, she felt lost in it beauty.

She kept her hand moving, her eyes getting the better view of what she was drawing. She couldn't help but fell in love, she was in love because this was what love meant to her.

"He called me" Rebecca whispered in her phone "What did he say? "He said, he wanted a dinner with me but I know he'll do anything to get Sunny back and that's the last thing I'll allow him to do". "Where's Sunny now"Emily asked over the phone.

"She's in her room" "Won't it be nice, if you both travel out of the country, that way he wouldn't get in touch" "Sunny still have het final exam and I'm not running away from here just because of that man! I'm going through fight him till my last blood"

"Just be careful sis" Rebecca felt so light headed when she finally disconnected the call, she probably needed a drink to calm herself down.

She wouldn't all that monster to take her daughter away from her not again, never. She was going to fight for her, after pouring herself a drink, she made her way up the spiral stairs to her daughter rooms.

Everywhere was silent except from the servant moving around, she tapped light on the door and waited for some seconds but their was no response. She have to make her way in to check on her daughter, she wasn't on her bed, this means...

She pushed the glass door open to the private drawing studio she has built for her daughter. "Wow" Rebecca gasp when she walked it". That was only when she stopped and turned to see her mum.  "It beautiful" Rebecca reached out to touched the drawing lightly.

"Just thought to draw something simple, it like...one of the flowers in the mountains, one special flower" "Like you baby, you're my one special flower"

Sunny dropped the brush and smiled "I was worried when I realized that he was the one on the phone" "I told you theirs nothing for you to worry, just forget all about him" "Mum, stop! Sunny turned around on the stool just to get a better view of her mum.

"I can't pretend not to worry, I'm just curious on what he had told you, what he's going to do next" Rebecca sighed and moved to stand by the window "That man is dangerous when he's angry" "What do you mean by that" Rebecca turned to her daughter but instead of seeing the happy girl she had saw drawing on the board awhile ago.

She saw a sad looking girl, her expression had turned into something painful "You know how deadly he us right mum"

"Of course, I know that and I also know that whatever he's planning on doing that won't work, he'll try to get you back but I would never allow that to be possible" "Just thinking about all this, it made me realized that he had been pretending to love and care for me all this while".

"He had wanted me to be his heir, not because he really want me there, he just doesn't want to be a looser, he doesn't want you to win"

"I hated that man so much Sunny, I hate to think that their was a time I fell for that man, a time I allowed him to touch me...it seems creepy, you know I regretted ever knowing him but I couldn't also hide the facts that if not for him, you wouldn't be here with me"

"Sometimes, something good comes from the worst human" Sunny laughed and watched her mother smiled sadly "When I was fifteen... Theirs this birthday party that I had been invited to but Dad had earlier told me he's was inviting some friends home and it wasn't always exciting for me when they come over because it was just this boring conversation with them whole I could just be having fun...

So I decided to, to snucked out of the house without telling anyone with the hopes that I would be back earlier before anyone could know I was missing...

Sunny looked down at her fingers... remembering that day sent shiver to her spin "I went by six and at eight pm I decided that it was time to go home, I have to be around for this visitors at least and just as I step out to start going out...

Age hesitated for a while but continued "Dad was there in his car waiting for me outside with a smile in his face but you know that smile...there wasn't anything good in it. I thought about the visitors...why was he here, he supposed to be with him and then I thought about the trouble I'm already in...

You know I have always seem him mad sometimes when he was Tara bit he hadn't gone off on me, whenever he was with me...he just seem to calm his temper. Pretend like nothing have ever happened, the argument with Tara, the yells and smashing or glass.

It just seems like he was a new kind of human whenever he's with me and I was happy, relief I might say because he always seems to keep his temper in check when he was with me but that night ...that night he let everything out.

Like I had been wrong all this time and he had been locking it away, saving the anger and that night he let everything loose, he let everything out and frim that day, I started seeing him like a whole different man" her voice tremble, remembering what he had done to her.

"He hurt you? Rebecca felt mad abd anger instantly raging inside her "He did more than that... Sunny turned her back to her mother and slowly lifted her shirt up, Rebecca was speechless on what she saw. She moved close and traced his hand gently on them, it was three long scars.

It looked so bad and horrible, she felt tears in her eyes "That monster did this to you! "He's also more than that" "It was just terrible mum, it was like a horrible nightmare that keeps pulling back into the darkness, I was so shocked...you know I couldn't believe he could be such inhuman"

"I'm so sorry Sunny, I wasn't there, I'm sorry". "No theirs nothing to be sorry about, you shouldn't apologize, this isn't your fault" She brought down her shirt "After that night, I hated him" Sunny chuckled, trying to light up the room.

"You know, I hated him but it seems kinda impossible hating someone that seems to control everything you do, no matter how angry you are with the person you'll still have to obey him...it just seems crazy.

Tara did everything, just everything to make me forgive him, we traveled, Sam act as if that night never happened. Everything seems as if it back to normal, nobody seems to remember that night.

They all just act like it never happened and that everything could just go back to the way they were and I finally forgave him, finally pretended that, that night never happened but that didn't mean I forgot the horrible experience.

I still have nightmare of that particular night, still dream and remember the pain I passed through and thus scars...it just permanent, I forgave him but never did I forget what he had done to me and when I'm with him...I always felt this fear...it always there, always reminding me of that horrible night experience.

I always tried to think of anything else but that night when I'm with him, even if I succeeded that day, what about the others....so I kept my pretence all this years".

Rebecca felt like her heart had been torn open, she felt her daughter's pain. She was too young to go through this all by herself and that monsters have caused this...she was also not going to forget this, till she pays him back of what he had done to her daughter.

"Come here" she hugged her tightly, wanting to take all that pain away, she wanted to soothe all of it away. To make her forget those nightmares, to be there for her when she needed a comforting shoulders.

"I'm going to make him pay for what he had done, I will make him pay Sunny, he doesn't deserve any mercy from both of us"
