Chapter Hundred and Ninety two

"I heard that a business trip outside the country" "Is our company included? Rebecca asked as she watched John closely. " Yes, but you don't have to worry about going, I have sent a representative that would represent us there.

I want you to be here for your daughter's final graduation" "You're also invited to John, Sunny gave grown fond of you and would love it if you come". "I'll love to come Becca but theirs some business left for me to take care here, I can take her with me to dinner after that". 

"You know, is not the same thing, she'll still be disappointed if you didn't show up" she reached out to touch his shoulder. "I think I have to plead with her then". "That's fine, I won't be held accountable for that". 

He nodded "Sam is going to be out of the country for two weeks on this business trip, so you have to loosen up, he won't hurt a fly when he's not here"

"They must still be danger out here even when he's gone, I still have to keep my guards up". "Sure, but take a lot of time to enjoy your daughter's day, it is just a day from today". " Of course, John, I would enjoy every bit of it... 

But I'm still suspicious about one thing" "And what is that? " Sam had been lying low after much threatening, do you think that's okay". He shook his head and Becca watch him tap his finger on the desk and then smoke before turning his attention to her.

"Whatever he's up to, he's keeping it on a low and he won't be able to do anything since he's out, let's say he has been occupied for the past week and waiting to execute whatever he's planning when he has enough time on his hand". 

" Yeah, sure" But just one thing he was sure of was that she could never let her guards down "I have to meet up with my daughter at lunch, see you later John" she bent over and kissed him on the cheek before walking out.

Rebecca would say, she was a bit relieved since that monster wouldn't show up at her daughter's event and cause problems, she had extra security to make sure he never comes close to Sunny, let's say she would be able to relax a bit.

She met up with Sunny after an hour, for some moment she still felt marveled that she had given birth to such a beautiful daughter like her. She watched her from a distance putting on a long flowery gown that was simple to put on in hot weather.

She watched as Sunny waved at her in a distance, she waved back and finally made her way to her. "Just admiring your beauty" she smiled at her daughter as she took a seat beside her. 

"Say that to me tomorrow at my graduation". " I trust that you're going to be one of the most beautiful girls there tomorrow". "Sure mother, but tell me will uncle John be there tomorrow, you invited him, right?

"I did invite him but sadly, he's not going to make it to your graduation tomorrow". Sunny just stare sadly at her mother. "I'm sorry, he would have come but he talked about having a lot of business to attend to"

"I think taking a day off won't hurt him or cause the business not to hold again" "He said he was going to make it up to you". " Seriously mum" the expression on her daughter's face made her smile, she looked like she was ready to murder someone.

"I'm going to talk to him myself". " That's fine by me" Rebecca laughed while they went ahead to order.

Josh decided to spend the rest of the days he has to play basketball, maybe it would able to stop him from thinking about her. He hated himself more after that day for hurting her and since then he couldn't bring himself to do other things.

Today he was pushing himself hard on the court, running till his body sweated, till his feet hurt but he didn't stop. He wanted to hurt himself just the way he had hurt her, he never intended to hurt her but it happened and he hated himself for allowing it.

He wished that he would stay more days here but wishes aren't horses, he knock the ball hard into the net, and for the third time, it didn't enter and it frustrated him even more.

"I think you should get some rest" he turned to see his father watching him but turn away just immediately to focus on the ball. "You know if you continue this way, you're going to drop". He didn't respond but kept going.

Just when he was about to give it another shot, he felt a sharp pain in his leg. He screamed and dropped to the floor, he tried to stand but the pain came again and he dropped to the floor again and started at his leg in pain.

" You should learn to stop and rest when you're tired and also listen to me". Andrew said as he walked up to him. "Come, he stretched out his hand to help him stand" but he tried to ignore his father and struggled to stand again but the pain in his leg was unbearable this time.

"Your mum won't be happy to know that her son hurt himself while I was watching, I'm going to be in trouble for that" Andrew chuckled. "It's not funny that" Josh looked at his father. 

"Of course, what she would make me pass through won't be funny either" Josh stared at him for a while before accepting his help and allowing him to lead him to the bench at the court.

He took the time to stretch out his leg and drag some water to calm himself afterward, he clean his sweat with his face towel while waiting for the pain to minimize.

"You're pushing yourself so hard that you got hurt in the process" "I didn't mean to dad". " We're you punishing yourself because of what happened the other night". "No, and I don't want to talk about it". 

"I know you're hurt Josh but you need to talk about it at a certain point" "But what if theirs nothing to talk about?  "They are always something to talk about if you choose to discuss it". Josh nodded and shut his eyes for a while concentrating on the pain in his leg.

"You were waiting for the right time to tell her but it came out so suddenly that you expected, that doesn't mean you have to leave it that way". " I don't think theirs anything left for me to do now". "Are you sure that's what you think? Or you're just giving up on her?

"Not that I'm giving up on her, she's so angry at me and I don't think she would even listen to a word that I say, and what is even the point, we're traveling soon, so any of this won't even matter" 

"Of course, it would matter, no matter where you are, feelings don't die that easily, I think you both can work it out if you decide on it and she's not angry son...

You have to understand girls, she's waiting for you to make it up to her that you're really sorry for being a dream, not the other way round"

He was silent for a while not knowing what to say, he felt like a mess now. He sighed and buried his face in his palm

 "She's graduating tomorrow dad".he finally said " Yes, Rebecca told me that and even if she didn't, I won't fail to come, she's like a daughter to me Josh"

"I know that, I just don't know how I'm going to make her listen to me". " When you see her, you'll know but don't let things be as messy as this, you have to tidy up things...

And also, I hope your leg gets better because your mum would scream my head off if she comes back"

Tara lay down, too tired to speak while breathing helplessly, she had been stuck in this room forever. She wanted someone to find out that she was missing, that something was wrong, she needs to get out of here"

Just like always, the servant walked in to clean her up, this time she didn't say a word to her, her mother was in a lot of pain that she was trying to deal with, she was sure now that the stupid woman wouldn't disobey her master.

And she wanted nothing more than to shoot her dead like here, she just close her eyes and tried to push her pain away and instantly felt a cold mental digging in her palm. 

She snapped her eyes open just to see the calm but nervous look of the servant.

"Theirs a lot of servants out there that would give me out if they find out that I'm the one that helped you" she whispered

"Follow the back door and leave, I have made it easier for you to escape, if you got caught, don't involve me with it, I have done my best for you". Tara shockingly nodded at her still speechless. 

"Go and save your daughter, I have no right to watch you stay her helplessly while your daughter dies". "Thank you" Tara whispered back and watched her rush to the door but stopped again and turn to her.

"Try to escape and please don't forget to come back and save me from this cruel place" Tara watched her as hurriedly leave. And she couldn't hide the wide smile on her face, finally, she was going to be free.
