Chapter 263 two big boats

Two people should be ordered, their return to the deck began to organize troops.

We quickly approached the harbor, where there were no more than a hundred guards.

We saw two big boats come out of nowhere, and the men brought one of them towards us. They're all using bows and arrows, shooting everywhere. With our superior weaponry, we basically cleared out the people on their ships when they were only a few dozen meters apart. The two boats attacked from left to right and took the big ship hostage.

When we went up, there lay a number of wounded men who were not yet dead, and the cabin was soon taken by us. While they were cleaning up, I asked Zombo to take a boat closer to the harbor and bring out the remaining three large ships. As soon as we had separated the ship from the other boats, we could have set it on fire, which would have saved us a great deal of effort.

There wasn't much on board, so when we were done, we headed straight out to sea. When zumbo and his men came with the other two big ships, a few fires were lost, and we quickly withdrew our men and horses to our ships, and sailed a hundred meters away, and waited for the allied troops to arrive from the island.

They were exposed to the sun and the wind every day, and burned very quickly, and in a short time the three boats were a great fire.

"Chief, if we have destroyed all their ships, will they send their main force to attack Cuckoo Island?" "Asked Zumbu incredulously.

"A few good hits at sea should do it." I don't know for sure, but we're in a position to do that. We can't use the diversion successfully without destroying their ship.

As the first burning boat began to dissolve into the water, there was a huge crowd in the harbor, all on alpacas.

I told my men to get ready for battle.

The allied troops watched for a while, then one after another boarded the ship. More than a dozen wooden boats of ten or twenty meters were heading in lockstep towards us. A new idea suddenly struck me.

He shouted to the boat next door, "Zombo, get everyone aboard our ship, and take that boat with you as fast as you can and wreck them."

"Good." Zombo shouted back.

When most of the boat had come, I asked John to tell the rowers to lay their boats out to sea.

As the Allies approached, they started shooting arrows, and we hit them head on. As the fighting became fierce, zombu's large ship rushed up and knocked over two of them, while the other boats turned and ducked. That's another big deal for us. And a small sacrifice for a large number of enemy casualties.

Seeing that all was lost, the last six boats began to withdraw. The aborigines all live on the island, so they are good swimmers. After falling into the sea, they all swim back.

We'd shoot them from the deck like a woodchuck with a hole in its head. No one was killed, and when his head hit the water, a flower of blood bloomed on the surface.

Jombu chased them to within 200 meters of the harbor when he was attacked by allied forces on the harbor and had to turn back. The great wooden ship had become a hedgehog, and its hull was covered with wooden arrows.

We cleaned up most of the people who fell into the water and the fighting ended abruptly. I leaned over the railings and looked down. Our hull was full of bows and arrows.

"Captain, the boat is not leaking in?" John asked anxiously.

"The planks of the ship are too thick for the bow." Still, I was worried. Because if you have too many arrows, you can skin a wooden boat. We can't stay long on an island because we have no land to fall back on.

Zong cloth they returned, Li Wanxue and Li Yunna led the medical team out, the wounded all carried into the inside of the cabin. I sent some more men down to the surface in a lifeboat to clean the bow from the hull. The higher part of the shaft is pulled out with a rope.

Zong Bu came from another boat and said happily, "Chief, four of their boats have been knocked over. The other six have returned, but many people have been killed or injured."

"Good job."

"We were so close to the harbor, I reckon there must be a thousand of them."

I nodded. "Five thousand allied troops are stationed in the new king's city. We need to be more careful. You get some rest."

Soon after the emperor left, two women came out of the cabin and together they went to the railings and looked out into the sea. Li Yunna covered her mouth in surprise.

"Oba, hundreds of people must have died. There are clumps of red in the sea."

"There must be two or three hundred." A hundred men had been killed on the ship before, and a hundred or two in the battle.

"War is cruel." Li Wanxue said with emotion.

"How many of our men are wounded?" I asked.

"Oh." Li Wanxue recovered: "More than 30, 12 of them died. What are they going to do about it?"

Well, that's a big problem, because they're our people, and it's obviously not appropriate to throw them into the sea, but the heat and the fact that they're still on the ship will cause a plague.

John is new to the sea and I can't send him out on his own. Only a simple funeral could be proposed for the twelve who had died. Wait till night, sneak on the island, burn them, and let them go to the sea.

After the bows and arrows on the hull were cleaned, the rest of the crew rested. I had the twelve dead men called on the deck, led three bows to them, said a few words of condolance, called them all on the stern deck of another ship, and arranged for Zombo to sail them to the Island after dark.

I had to stay on deck because I didn't know when the coalition would launch a second attack.

The harbor troops did not withdraw, nor did they attack. He played a stand-off with us.

At noon, as he was eating on deck, someone shouted.

"Here comes the shark."

I left my bowl and ran to it. Not far away, I saw forty or fifty triangles sliding on the sea like sails.

"Move to the back quickly." We can mess with an army, but we can't mess with a pack of sharks. Although our boat is quite big, if they attack together, our boat will be damaged and leak.

It's also the fact that the sharks focus on the bodies floating on the surface, they don't focus on us.

We had gone a kilometer before we stopped, and I simply stood by the rail with my bowl in my hand. I saw the sharks tearing at the bodies like wolves. In less than an hour, hundreds of sharks appeared in a square kilometer of water. When a school of large canoe-sized sharks showed up, a fight broke out among the sharks. Soon they occupied the area with the most bodies.

"Chief, what kind of fish is that? How big is that?" 'asked John, aghast.

"Tiger sharks and great whites." I don't really know because of the distance, but tiger sharks and great white sharks are the biggest, so that's definitely it.

"They eat human flesh. Isn't their meat good?"

"Especially bad, shark fin is ok."

John was a little confused about what shark fin was, so I gave him a brief explanation.

The sharks stayed at the surface for several hours until the sun began to sink into the water and then gradually dispersed. The sea was calm at last.

After my shift with John, I went back to the cabin.

Once inside, Li Yunna approached and asked, "Oba, why haven't those allied forces attacked us yet?"

"Do you want them to come?" I asked.

"No, but they'll come anyway." Li Yunna grinned. "I just hope we can beat them."

"I wish I could. But there is no hurry." I leaned on the bed.

"Lu Fei, have you fought battles like this before?" Li Wanxue asked as she sat down beside me.

"Yes, more than once or twice, but this is the hardest. We are fighting an all-sea battle, and the enemy has far more advantages than we do." I said, "In the previous battles we had the upper hand and had no worries."

"When this battle is over, you will be the king of the sea." Li Wanxue took a tone of congratulation.

I wiped my face, happy to think about it. There must be hundreds of thousands of people in this sea to rule. It's a small country at least.
