Chapter 4

"It's nice to meet you too" I say to him as  I shake his hand as well. I try to pull out my hand but his hold on my hand lingers as he looks into my eyes. "Alright.. big guy. That's enough" Ashley says as she removes his hand from mine. "I'll see you around then" Scott says to me and I smile at him with a nod.

"Thank you for the tour Ash" I say to Ashley as we walk back to our room.

"It's fine.. no biggie" she says and my phone rings.

"Jake" flashes on my screen. "Hi Jake.." I say "Hi.. future wife" he says and I blush a little "How are you doing?.. you settled in?" He asks "Yes.. I have. I was actually taking a tour of the school with my roomie" I say "Oh.. that's good. What's her name?" Jake asks "Ashley" I say "Okay.. I'm glad you've settled in and you have a roomie you're close to" Jake says "Yes Jake.. college isn't that bad so far" I say "Okay. I'll call you later okay? Take care of yourself future wife" he says "I will.. take care of yourself too" I say and he hangs up.

"Your boyfriend?" Ashley asks "My fiance actually" I say to her and she gives me a surprised look as I open our hostel room door and we walk in. "Your what now?" She asks. "I'm engaged to Jake Anderson" I say and for some seconds she looks utterly shocked. "Like.. Jake Anderson? Of Anderson industries?" She asks. "Yes.. him" I say "You truly are a rich kid" she says and I smile nervously.

"Wow!.. but why did you get engaged so early in life. I mean from what I can see you're eighteen ish and you're already engaged? What's the rush?" She asks as she sits on her bed and I sit on the couch beside the window. "Well.. my family and Jake's family are actually family friends. And Jake has been my childhood friend and best friend. He loves me and I love him too so why not get engaged" I say and she just stares at me.

"Wow!.. you rich folks kinda have your lives figured out and your parents take life very seriously" she says "Yeah.. they do. After college I'll take over Dad's company and marry Jake" I say "Yeah.. I know that kind of thing. Rich kid and rich kid get married and expand their empires" she says and I laugh a little.

"It seems like you don't like rich people" I say "Naaa... I don't." She says and I frown a little. "Don't get me wrong okay?. It's just that money corrupts people and changes them" she says. And I stay quiet. She rolls her eyes. "Okay,  Kelly I don't mean to make you feel bad. If it makes you feel any better I like you. So far you're kinda different" she says "How would you know that?" I ask. "Because, it doesn't take me so much time to get to know people's character and persona". She says. "Right" I respond.
