Chapter 40

"Hey" a voice says from behind me and I turn around to see Raymond. He isn't wearing his nerdy glasses today and he's dressed in a sleeveless

"Heyy" I say to him with a smile. "It's a good thing you came for this party Kelly" he says. "Oh.. why?" I ask him.

"Because it means I'll have good company tonight" he says to me while checking me out.

"You look stunning by the way" he compliments me. "Thanks" I say.

"Hey Kelly.." Ashley says from behind me and I turn around to face her. I see Kim standing behind her and their hands are entwined. "Where were you Ash? You just left me alone and went your way" I say to her with a frown.

"I'm so sorry Kelly I had to find Kim and look I did" she says smiling at Kim.

"Hey Kelly" Kim says to me. "Hi Kim" I say to her. "Hi Ray" Ashley says finally noticing Ray. "Hi Ash" he says and Kim just smiles at him and he does the same.

"Hey guys.. come over here" Scott says waving us over to a table.

I spot Sasha sitting on Adrian's thigh while he's sipping from a glass. I also spot Kim Gang tae sitting beside Scott who is sitting beside Adrian.

Adrian's eyes meet mine and he looks away as he continues his discussion with some other people who are also on the table that I don't recognize.

"Uhh.. I think I'll pass" I say to Ashley. "Come on Kelly. They look like they're having fun.. and that's why we came out here tonight" she says and pulls me along with her.

As soon as I get to the table everyone falls silent and I gulp nervously. Sasha looks me up and down and rolls her eyes. "Come sit with me Kelly" Scott says as Adrian is now looking at me.

I gently walk over and sit beside Scott and now I'm in the middle of Scott and Kim.

"So everyone.. this is Kelly and Kelly this is--" Scott doesn't have the chance to finish his introduction before Sasha cuts in.

"We all know Miss good two shoes over here" Sasha says and everyone on the table starts laughing except Ashley, Scott and Adrian. Ashley mouths a "sorry" to me and she gives Sasha a glare and Sasha rolls her eyes.

Sasha gives me a scowl and leans her head into Adrian's shoulders. I look at Sasha and I refrain from snapping at her.

"Why don't we play a game" Kim Gang tae suggests. "Sure.. so what game will we play?" Ashley asks. "Truth or dare" Adrian says looking at me and smirking. I remain composed.

"Okay.." Scott says "So who's going first?" Kim Gang tae asks. "Kelly.. you'll go first" Sasha says as she sits up in Adrian's lap.

"Me?" I ask her with a surprised look on my face. "Yes you... Unless you don't have the guts to play this game Kelly" Sasha says stressing the lly in my name.

" Okay then.. bring it on" I say to her "Uuuuhhh" everyone says and I give her a smug look trying to keep my composure and not show how nervous I am.
