Chapter 55

"Ugh!.. I just can't write a single thing" Adrian says and closes his laptop in anger.

Kelly looks at him through her glasses and rolls her eyes at him.

"Adrian.. just calm down.. it's not that hard to write about Love.. love is something we see everyday and everywhere Adrian" Kelly says

"Yeah it's easier for you cause you're already in a relationship and you're a softie" Adrian says and throws his head back on the sofa.

Kelly pouts "So you're saying I'm in love and I believe in love because I'm stupid?" Kelly says and Adrian opens his eyes in surprise.

"I.. I never said that Kelly.. ugh! Why do you always think that I'm trying to ridicule you?" Adrian says

"Because it's true. You always find ways to ridicule me and make me feel stupid Adrian" Kelly says with a frown on her face.

Adrian looks at her for some seconds "I'm sorry Kelly if I ever made you look stupid or if I ever ridiculed you" Adrian says to Kelly in a quiet voice and Kelly could have sworn that she saw some emotions in Adrian's eyes as he apologized to her but he quickly recovered and went back to his normal stern and emotionless face.

"Uhhh.. I.. I have to get going now Adrian" Kelly says as she packs her books and laptop into her bag. Shestands up from the couch and heads for the door.

"Yeah" Adrian says and Kelly leaves his apartment and heads back to her dorm.

Kelly's Pov

Why did Adrian look like that when he apologized to me. I could have sworn his apology was sincere but no.. no it can't be.

Adrian can't be remorseful to anyone most especially me. Adrian is cold hearted and nonchalant so he wouldn't have meant that apology.

I'm sure that by tomorrow he'll go back to the Adrian I know.

Kelly thought to herself as she made her way back to her room.

"Hey Kelly" Ashley says as Kelly walks into the room. Kimberly is also in the room with Ashley.

"Hey Ash, Hey Kim" Kelly says to both girls in the room

"Hi Kelly" Kim says in response to my greeting.

"You want some chicken and chips?" Ashley asks Kelly. "Yes.. how do you know I'm so hungry right now?" Kelly says as she takes off her shoes.

"I'm psychic" Ashley says with a smug expression and Kelly laughs a little.

"Sure you are" Kelly says as she takes off her clothes and gets into her bathrobe while Kim has her eyes fixed on the movie she's watching on Ashley's computer screen.

"I'll be back" Kelly says and she heads for the bathroom.

As the water Cascade down Kelly's body her mind drifts to Adrian. She remembers the look in his eyes when he said he was sorry he actually looked remorseful.

She shakes her head in disagreement. "Kelly.. you need to stop hallucinating.. there was nothing in his eyes" she says to herself and continues with her shower.

Kelly walks into her room and still sees Ashley and Kimberly.

Kimberly gives her a small smile but Ashley doesn't look at her because she's really engrossed in the scene she's watching at that moment.
