Chapter 36

And her face goes blank. "So what happened?" She asks me with her expressionless face.

So I tell her how Jake was here and what Adrian did at Hawkins.

"Oh my God!. Why wasn't I here?" She says. "Well.. I should be asking you that" I respond.

"I.. I was with Kim Kelly" she informs me.

"Oh.. okay" I respond. She stands up from her sit and walks to her wardrobe I pause what I'm saying and look at her with a confused expression.

"Where did I keep it?" She asks herself.

"Keep talking I can hear you" she says to me as she takes out a cigarette stick and lights it. She takes a drag from it and puffs out the smoke and smiles to herself. I start to cough and she chuckles.

"What's wrong Kelly.. you haven't smoked before?" She asks me and I shake my head as a No to her and she laughs a little.

"No wonder" she says and goes on to sit on my bed given me some space.

So I continue to tell her everything that happened and she listens while smoking her cigarette.

"So, Jake refused to kiss you.. Kelly he's definitely Gay" she says. "No... No I don't think so" I say to her. "He's had a girlfriend before me" I say to her and she ponders a little on what I said.

"Then he's cheating on you Kelly" she simply says. I look downcast I remember the last time I spoke to him over the phone I heard him say Allison. Who's Allison?.

I sit there quietly looking down at the floor.

"Kell.. you shouldn't let that bother you" Kelly says to me as she puts out her cigarette.

"Come with me tonight.." she says. "Huh?" I say to her. "I'm going for a party.. it's actually a frat party and it's going to be fun" she says to me and I shake my head in response.

"No.. I won't be able to Ash. I need to study and get some sleep" I say to her and she rolls her eyes. "Why?" she asks "Because I don't want to" I say to her. "But, you attended the induction ceremony" she says to me raising an eyebrow at me. I stand up from the her bed and head over to my corner. "Attending the induction ceremony is one thing but attending a party with hormonal young adults it's another thing altogether" I respond to her

"You see why I call you a grandma because you're no fun Kelly. You act just like a granny no fun, you're always so serious about everything" she says scowling at me. She turns around and searches her wardrobe. While I ignore her teasing and take out my business management text book and a note pad.

"Kelly it won't hurt you to have a little fun" she says to me and I roll my eyes as I settle down and start studying.

She walks over to my corner and closes my text book and I look at her giving her a questioning look. "What?" I ask her.

"How about this.. you follow me to the party tonight and if you don't enjoy it then you won't follow me again if I have to go for another party" she says to me.
