Chapter 104
"I.. we need to talk Ash" Kimberly says "okayyy.. what's up?" Ashley asks Kimberly " Ash.. I.. I love you Ash.. believe me I do" Kimberly says "babe.. I already know that.. I mean we won't be dating if we didn't love each other" Ashley says with an amused expression
"Ashley.. I don't know how to say this.." Kimberly says "what?.. I don't understand.." Ashley says confused "Ashley.. my parents have gotten a divorce"Kimberly says and Ashley gasps "oh my God!.. I'm.. I'm so sorry babe.." Ashley says taking Kimberly's hand and Kimberly keeps plain face
"Don't be.. I saw this coming anyway.. with their constant fights and quarrel I knew this was bound to happen" Kimberly says
"Still.. I'm sorry about what happened with your parents.. I know what it's like to not have a complete family" Ashley says sincerely Kimberly stays quiet before speaking again
"Ash.. I'm moving to Paris with my Mom and I'm going back home tomorrow to pack my things and leave with my Mom on Sunday" Kimberly says and Ashley looks shocked
"What?.." Ashley says not able to believe what Kimberly is saying "yes Ash.. my Mom is French.. so she wants to go back to France.. she just wants to start her life afresh and move on.. and I can't just let my Mom go in her own.. I want to be there for my Mom and I just.. I can't stay here anymore" Kimberly says and Ashley can't believe what she's hearing
"Kimberly.. what.. what about us?.. I mean.. what about our relationship?.. what happens to us?.." Ashley asks looking terrified
"Ash... I'm sorry.. we'll have to end this..." Kimberly says and terrified starts to panic
"No Kimberly.. I don't understand.. I just.. please Kimberly I'm begging you not to break up with me.. I.." Ashley trails off "Ash.. this is really hard for me.. but we just have to break up.. there's no way we can continue dating because of the distance.. I mean Paris to the USA.. is some distance.. I love you Ash.. but I don't want to keep you tied down.. I want you to be able to move on Ash.. you deserve someone better and I know you'll surely find love some where else and with someone else" Kimberly says
Ashley fights back her tears because she doesn't want to cry.. she's stronger than that
"Okay Kimberly.. it's fine I understand.. I totally get it.. it's fine" Ashley says and Kimberly looks at her with remorse
Ashley stands up "Ash.." Kimberly says but Ashley gives her a smile "goodbye Kimberly... It was nice knowing you" Ashley says and leaves Hawkins
Ashley runs and is almost breathless when she gets to the open field behind the campus and her lips tremble as tears threaten to fall down her cheeks but she stops herself from crying
"No Ash... You shouldn't cry.. it's okay.. it's fine.. you'll move on Ash.. you shouldn't cry!" Ash says in an angry voice and she breathes heavily and sits on the grass trying to calm herself down.
Back at Adrian's apartment
After the movie Adrian and Kelly snuggle together and chat. "So yeah.. I, Ashley, Gangtae, Scott and Sasha were all highschool friends" Adrian says "oh.. wow.. I thought you guys just got to know each other when you came to college" Kelly says "Naaa.. we were all friends before now" Adrian says "okay.." Kelly says "yeah.." Adrian says and his mind drifts back to his confrontation with Ray earlier today.
