Chapter 78

"To be a writer" Kelly responds. "Your dream is to be a renowned writer and probably own your own publishing company.." Ashley says and Kelly nods in agreement.

"Don't allow your parents choose what you want for your life for you. It's your life your parents are living their own lives and making their own choices you should do the same. Don't live a life you'll regret Kelly. It's better to set your own path and follow it now than continue on the path that your parents have laid out for you" Ashley advices Kelly and Kelly heaves a deep sigh.

"So you think I should switch my major to creative writing?" Kelly asks "It's your decision to make Kelly.. I was just giving you some advice it's up to you to decide what you should do" Ashley says and returns to watching Grownish.

Kelly sits down beside Ashley pondering on Ashley's words to her.

Kelly gets out of bed. She looks at Ashley's corner and Ashley has left for classes.

She decides to shower and get dressed for classes.

She's about to leave when she gets a text from her Mom on her phone. "Hi honey.. how are you doing today? I hope you're okay? I wanted to know if you'll be coming home for the summer. Your Dad and I miss you very much" her Mom says and Kelly's heart sinks.

She misses home as well but she wants to go for an internship however, she remembers that she can't because she's yet to switch her major and she can't do so until next semester since this semester is nearly over.

"Hi Mom.. I'll be coming home for summer. And I.. I have something to discuss with you and Dad" she texts her mother. "Oh dear.. I'm so happy you're coming home and don't worry we'll discuss whatever you want to discuss with your Dad and I" she says.

"Okay Mom.. I love you and Dad" Kelly texts to her Mom "We love you too sweetie" her Mom texts back and she smiles at her phone before putting it into the pocket of her jeans.

She makes her way into accounting class.

Kelly seems lost as she listens to the professor teach and explain. She's distracted by thoughts of what Ashley told her yesterday and then thoughts of Adrian.

15 minutes later

The class is over and then she makes her way to the drama theater for practice.

She's soon cornered by Sasha and two other girls she doesn't know.

"Well.. well.. if it isn't Kelly Edwards" Sasha says in a sarcastic voice. "Sasha.. I'm really sorry I can't talk now I have drama practice and I need to go" Kelly says trying to walk away however Sasha blocks her way.

"No Kelly.. I didn't come to talk" Sasha says giving Kelly a sinister look making Kelly look at her in confusion.

"Uhh.. I don't understand what you're trying to say Sasha" Kelly says. "Very well then.. I'll make it simple for you. Stay away from Adrian Kelly Edwards" Sasha says and Kelly blinks twice trying to process what Sasha just told her.
