ONE NIGHT

Nora handed over to me the file which Chris Morgan was written boldly on,I collected it and smiled my thanks to her,she is indeed a friend. I flipped to the first page and I met with his smiling face,I like his feature.The file contained his place of birth,his origin,let's say everything that partakes him. All these while, Nora was watching me and I knew she was,but I did not want her to see that I knew she was watching me.

"Are you sure about this"

I replied and gave her a cheeky smile

she asked while face palming herself.

"I got to move fast or I might not be able to fulfill this wish of mine"

I thought of ways to go about it but I could not seem to find an option

"Why don't we trail him and find out what his way of having fun,by that we will get you both hooked up"

I said with a knowing smile,let's see how he will resist my charm.

I told her,her favorite. I made my way to the kitchen to get her some food and when I returned to the sitting room,she was so immensed on her phone that she did not realised that I was standing at her front.

"Bae! Like seriously,have not gotten over this your phone obsession"

I asked her with a frown on my face

" Naw,until death do us apart,my phone is my lover."

"See who is talking,you don't even have a boyfriend"

"Like seriously,you don't need to rub my sins on my face"

I said and placed the tray of food on the side stool and sat down

I know it will get to this,I looked at her and smiled. My best friend, you would not understand but we look out for each other. I had told her several times,that if she is a boy,I would have married her. At time like this I could not wish for more in life. I am contented with just her and her alone.

my mom had already called in the morning asking how I  am doing. You might think I am very close to my mom,yea that was then. But not any more. We are far from being close.

I went through his details again and each time I am met with his smile,I feel this sensation. But I can't love him,if its love that's making it's way into my heart. I can't love him and that's how it's going to be. Is it even possible to love someone you don't know very well.

I looked over to Nora and realized she has fallen asleep on the couch. I walked over to her and tapped her to wake up. When she was fully awake,she went to my bedroom.

Thats how it has always been,we always sleep at each other's place each time we visit ourselves late. I looked at her diminishing back and smiled. I would wish for nothing more.
