Chapter 79 Persistent Pest

Nora's point of view.....

  The morning has been going on well. I was done painting the portrait of Gina and Chris. I was going through the painting trying to see where I could adjust when my phone rang. I checked the caller and it was Gina.

  "I picked the call"

"Hello Highness"

I said excitedly when the call came through

"High godmother"

She said grumpily and I just knew something is up. I hope she is okay. Motherly instincts kicked in.

 "Are you okay, darling?"

I asked, raising my voice a little bit too high

 "He left me"

She replied and by the sound of her voice,it seems she is crying

"Who left you?"

I asked. I although I aware its Chris she is referring to but I wanted to be sure.

" Chris"

She said soberly. I sighed and calmly asked

"He left you to where?"

"To South, he said that he has something he wants to take care off"

   She said and I know she trying hard not to break down. But why would Chris risk his life and that of  Gina's going to South when he knows something could go wrong?.

   "Okay darling,you don't need to worry. Chris is a man enough to take care of himself and if he said he has something to do then it must be important because I know he knows the implications of going to South. He is going to be safe"

I said reassuring her of his safety. 

 One thing is for sure, history can't repeat itself.

"Alright, let me keep hope alive"

She said brightening up.

"Thats my girl"

  I said cheering her up

"Hope you are good?"

   She asked,

    "Sorry I got carried away"

"I am baby girl"

I replied. I might not understand how she is feeling but I know what it means to be Far-away from your mate. You will feel incomplete.

   We  talked for a while and the call got disconnected. I sighed and sat back on my seat.

   I was just thinking how it will be when my mate finally finds me when my phone rang again. Who could be calling again?.

   I check to see who could be calling but it turned out that the person is not on my cantact list. It could be only one person in the world, Benjamin. Of not mistaken or not.

     My persistent pest. On a normal note,I would not have to pick the call but knowing the kind of person he is,I picked the call.

  "Hello!"

A deep baritone voice that Belongs to the pest said

"Hi!"

 I said coldly not minding that the tone of my voice does not sound nice at all but who cares?

"What's with the cold voice huh?"

He asked and at that moment I wished he could get lost,he called in the morning now he is calling again.

    "Well nothing"

I responded with lack of emotion in my voice.

"Ok,just calling to see how you are doing and to tell you I am picking you up in an hour."

He said and my ear pricked with a knowing frown on my face.

"What the heck, Ben?"

I asked pissed off and he chuckled

"Chill beautiful,I don't bite. Just want to spend quality time with you"

"I am busy Ben, so busy. I don't think I can make it in hour time"

I said trying to reason with him

"I don't take no for an answer, so see you in next hour"

He said and hung the call.

  "Bossy pest"

I said and angrily dropped my phone on the desk. Can't believe this is happening, a guy ordering me around.

    I palmed my face and pouted my lips

"What should I do now?"

I asked no one in particular. I could choose to refuse but I dont know what is keeping me from saying no to him. That's what I have been trying to figure out since yesterday.

    I am totally whipped. I chuckled at my behavior

"It's just hangout,it's not like we are an item"

I said, reassuring myself of getting the situation under control. 

     I pulled my laptop open and push the start button,while it's load, I swing my seat from side to side. A lot has happened before in my life that I could not keep tag on what is happening. Gina has been my surviving luck,looking after her has made me to forget that my life is passing with it not actually passing.

    I hope that when this is over,we could go back to South because there is no place like home. I have missed the place so much.

   The laptop got booted and I proceed to edit pictures of my client. Let me see if I could do some work before an hour time.
