Chapter 95 Being Hopeful
I saw the look of pure admiration on her eyes and I really want to make them proud. Everyone in my life is lovable.
"You are the best we ever had and I am so proud to be connected to you,I hope when all these is over. We will be together but that's your decision to make. It's okay if you choose to stay because I will do the same if I am in your shoes. We understand why your mother want you back home but my advise to you is to never abandon your mate ever again"
She said. She kissed my forehead and hugged me. We stayed like that until I heard Tiana's voice
"Why am I hugging you?"
She said and I knew instantly that the Lady has left
"I should be the one to ask you that"
I said and pulled a way from her embrace. I made my way out of the chamber and she followed me. We have had enough spell mastering.
"Hey wait up!"
She yelled from behind me and I halted.
"What happened and what's with the aura surrounding you... You changed within a space of time. What happened, can you tell me what went on why I was away ?"
She asked. I turned and faced her
"You didn't know what happened to you?"
I asked staring at her.
"No,the only thing I remembered is that suddenly I was floating. What a second?"
She halted in between her speech,
"Someone was here and the person used me to gain entrance?"
She asked, sounding more like she made a statement.
"Yes"
I answered cutily. I turned and continued walking and she followed me.
"Who?"
She asked
"Nature"
I answered and she stopped on her track
"Why was she here?"
She asked with something I could not detect from her voice. I turned and face her. There was a look of worries on her face. I took a step towards her and held her shoulders. I need to assure her that I am not leaving if that's what she is worrying about.
She came to clear the air about the cancellation spell,there was misinterpretation on my own part and that led to the mistaking the tips on how to defeat Lord Xexes to cancellation spell. She said that I am the spell book,so there is no need reading all the spells because I could recite it from the heart.
I replied and she exhaled. That's more like it,she should not be worried because I am going nowhere.
"I thought she came with the news that you have to go back after fulfilling your mission"
She replied. I knew that is what she was worried about..
"Well didn't you say that it's up to me to decide to live or die and she said the same thing. Since I have broken free from the curse of the sword,no need to fear again"
"Well you will not understand"
She said and clapped her hands together and I looked at her and shook my head
"I don't even want to understand"
I said and walked out of the chamber finally,we got to the basement and I took a seat.
"So you could prepare the living potion without reading the ancient spell book?"
"She asked and I nod"
"Yeap"
"It seems you are more prepared than I thought. You are the book of the spell and you could fight so well,so all we have to do is to wait for the Lord to bring his tactics and we pin him down"
She said excitedly.
"You made it sound so simple,you think the Lord will just fold his arms without doing anything. I am sure he is as prepared as we are. My only worries is Chris"
"Well he will be fine, the rightful heir can protect himself. That one I am sure of"
"We are not so sure about that Tiana but I am hopeful"
I replied and by the look on her face,she is hopeful as well.
We have been here for close to two hours and I think lunch hour is over. I have not really had good appetite since Chris left. Being a witch does not mean I should not fuel my system.
"Let's get a break. Let's go see if we could see something to eat from my kitchen"
Tiana said and lead the way. I followed through. It's like I have been out from the outside world. When we got to the living room the first thing I checked was my phone and sure enough,there was missed calls on the screen.
I checked the phone to see two missed calls from Nora and another from Mom. I decided to call Nora then Mom.
