Chapter 77 Light And Bold

Nora's point of view.......

    I woke up startled by an incoming call. I checked the caller and it was Ben calling.

      He has insisted on having my line and I gave it to him. He is a persistent pest. It's surprising that I managed to be patient, unlike me.

I groaned and got up. I picked the call hoping that it will end as soon as it has started.

"Hello!"

I said immediately the call came through

"Hi beautiful"

He greeted me cheerfully

 I was not in the mood for pleasantries. I slept late because he could not get out of my head last night. I I stayed mute waiting for him to spill why he called but he was in no hurry.

   "How is beautiful doing this morning?"

He finally said and I mentally cursed. What now?.

   "I am doing great, thanks Ben"

I replied, praying silently that this will be the end of it.

"I was hoping we hang out later in the day"

He said and I stilled. Oh no!,my fears are coming true,does he not notice that I don't want to hang out with him?.

"Holy shit!"

I cursed,

"Not again"

   I continued cursing under my breath

    He was waiting for me to give him a reply. When I did not give him a reply,he dropped a bomb shell.

"Infact, I am not asking you,I am telling you and it's an order. Let's hang out later."

   He said and I opened my mouth slightly. What the heck? Does he think he will come from nowhere and start to order me around?

"Well since you said nothing it means you agreed with the me. Catch you later"

   He said and hanged the call. I was momentarily lost. Who does this kind of thing,why would he conclude without caring if I am interested?.

"Menh! what have I gotten myself into?"

I said, palming my face. I am trying to figure myself out and this Ben guy is not helping at all.

     The day don't seems to start on a good note,hope I have a good day today!.

    I dropped my phone on the side stool and stood up yawning. Time to start the day.

    I smiled, recurring what happened yesterday,it's a good thing,things are falling in place. With Nature and Universe on our side,the war will soon end. I am sure about this, I do know that Gina was going to find Chris but not so soon.

    Destiny indeed found her and with the way things are going,it's going to be happy tale at the end.

    I pulled my nighties and took my towel towards my bathroom. I got to the bathroom and stared at my reflection at the wall mirror. The girl at the mirror is the still the girl facing the mirror.

    It has not been easy staying without my mate for years now maybe there is an explanation for all these.

   I have a lot of works cut out for me today at the office and I should better do and leave because morning is far gone. I am going to get done with the portrait of Gina and Chris.

    I picked my toothbrush and put a paste on it. I brushed my tooth. When I was done brushing,I got into the shower and had my bath. All these took me twenty minutes to do. I gave extra attentions to my body and the reason is not what I know.

   I came back to my bedroom and creamed my body. I thought of a dress to put on,I decided to go for jeans and top.

    I picked my dark grey jeans and plain white top that has a heart shape on the front. I have not wore these clothes for long time now.

   I really like the kind of confident I always have whenever I put on these. It's brings out my shape a lot.

     I got seated and started applying make-up on my face. I want it light and bold. I got done with my make-up and went for a black curved shoe. One of my favorite flat shoes.

    I got my handbag and strolled out of the room. I am not the morning type so I don't like having breakfast.

    I locked my door and went out of the driveway to wait for a cab. Within a minute,one came by and I hailed it down.

   "To Rory's"

I said and he gave a nod,I entered and he zoomed off when I settled down.

   "May today bring me the joy and peace I seek for."

I silently prayed.
