Chapter 144 Endless Journey

   Gina found herself walking on an endless route,she has been on this journey for as long as she could remember. She checked severally to see if you could recognize the route or at least find her way back home. She felt something was not right.

    She had tried to connect with Chris but all to no avail. She was so getting tired of walking endlessly, not knowing when this journey of hers will end.

    She stopped to rest for while. She was sweating profusely and to worser her situation,she was damned thirsty. Where in the world could she get water to quench her thirst. She hissed and sat down on the green grass.

    She decided to check her surrounding,it was middle of nowhere. From the look of things,a life has not passed here for ages and she wondered what she is doing here all alone. 

    If only she could get to Chris,her sole mission was to find him because he has gone missing and without him,his kingdom will stay without a lord and she can't let that to happen. She has vowed to find him no matter what it takes.

    She rested for a while and stood up to continue on her journey,as haggard she is looking,she did not mind. What's important will be to get to the end of the journey maybe only then will she look at herself.

     She took a step forward but stopped,she sensed she was not alone and she was right because right before her eyes,the little boy she met yesterday was standing a glance away with the meanest look ever. 

    She felt relieved for seeing someone around but her smiled disappeared as soon as it came. The little boy was not smiling and she is kind of worried.

    "Hey you!what happened,why the long face?"

   She asked him but he ignored her and started to walk away. She creased her brows and followed him.

   "What's up with this little fellow?"

She wondered.

    "I am talking to you!"

She yelled yet he did not bulged. She wanted to stop following him but had a second thought. What if he knows where Chris is?.

     "I don't know why you are not saying a thing but I believe you know me much more than I know myself."

She said and he stopped and faced her. She sighed with relief,thank goodness he stopped.

    "Offcouse I know you more than you know yourself but what I don't understand is what you are doing here"

   He said with no emotions in his eyes and that bothered Gina.

   "Huh!what do you mean?"

She asked.

   "What do I not mean?"

He asked her back rudely,she was shocked. What could make this little guy to be this mean,he was not like this yesterday.

  "I mean to say,what are you doing here when you have something to take care of back home"

    "Chris is lost and I need to find him,his people are worried about him. So please if there is a way you could tell me where he is,it will be much appreciated"

   She said with so much hopes,she believes he might know something.

  "And what made you think I know where he is?"

He asked with a wrinkled face and if not for the situation Gina found herself, she would have laughed.

   "Well my instincts told me, so please if you know can you lead me to him"

She pleaded with him. The little guy looked at her for few secs and start walking away again.

    "I don't know what you are talking about"

He said little annoyed. Gina thought he was going to disclose Chris's location but to her disappointed,he did not. She has no option but to follow him to where ever he is going. It is safer to stick with him because she could trust him than her own self.

  Mason loved her spirit,she never give up and it's good for her but it's a pity she has to find herself here. Does she know where she is,she was not supposed to be here. He weeped for the people of the South. He never thought history will repeat itself again.

     He could have done something to stop this but no,he chose to listen to the queen's parents. I guess Universe is happy now because this is what she always wanted but at least she should allow her to fulfill her mission.

    The further she goes with him the more she is lost forever. It's only moving forward for her,no backward.
