Chapter 282 Two Things Happened

      Rory was on top of me with her lips almost touching mine. I did not mind the pain that was emanating from my back, I just stared and continued to stare at her sacrilegious lips. It was too tempting for me to not stare. She swallowed and bit her lips which was threatening to break every resolve I have .

     I searched my memory to remember when last I was intimate enough and it took me back to twenty years ago. When I was still touring round looking for the best time to carry out my revenge on Glamorous. I was so close and this lady was the only obstacle on my way. That's if you want to succeed on something, don't ever get yourself entangled with women. They are peace and pain at the same time.

   I had met Grace at a city named Gru, near East. It was a small City and it would serve me for that time so I had decided to stay for days. Grace and her family welcomed me, not minding that I was a total stranger. I was skeptical at first but after two days of staying with them, I realised that they were nice people but humans will always be humans so do witches stay as witches.

   I was wandering with no destination in mind,just a guy who was bent on avenging the death of his parents. I was shallow, so empty that a little touch of love turned me on. I forget how to think because Grace was all over me. 

   Her family could not joke with me because Grace has fallen for me and I in turn thought I love her too but then I forgot that I was a witch and witches don't fall in love with someone who is not their mate.

    When I could come to terms with myself, it was too late.

    The family had found out I was a witch and invited the village to burn me alive the same night as I was planning to take down Glamorous because I had figured out her hiding place in Gru.

   Glamorous rescued me, two things happened that night. I could not fulfill the prophecy but became an accomplice to whom I was to be killed. I was closer yet far. The only option for me was to wait for the right time. That day, trust and I began having issues, I vowed never to trust anyone again especially the Humans

A whole whooping twenty years ago, I sighed and felt light, I came back to reality only to see that Rory was off my body dusting her body with a flushed face. I shook my head to recall if it's her body that is supposed to be dusted or mine.

   I was still on the ground and the pain I felt before hit me with full force.

   I grunt and sat up.

    "You have got a lot of weight you know"

I said and hissed in pain.

   "Sorry"

She muttered with her face still flushed and I wondered why she had a flushed face.

   "Why is your face so red?"

I asked and tried to stand up but could not.

 "Here, let me help you"

She stretched her hand towards me and took it then pulled me up.

   "My face is not red, thanks anyway"

She said gratefully and I creased my brows.

  Why is she thanking me? Did I do something that I am not aware of?

"What's the thanks for?"

I muttered and grunted again. The pain was getting worse and I don't know if I was going to manage. The hit of the fall was too much and I am glad that I was the one who fell. How would I have managed if it was Rory.

   I sat back on the ground with my face couted in pains. I was really hurting and I bet my back was bleeding.

   The ground is not smooth enough, it has a lot of rocks lying here and there.

  "I am thanking you for taking the bullet for me, it was so thoughtful of you. I can't remember when last someone ever put me first. Because of me you have hurt you back and I feel sorry"

She sat in front of me and took my hand in hers.

   "Xylie, thanks so much for putting me first"

She said and kissed my knuckles.

 Now let me help you with your pains'

She said and closed her eyes, she muttered something under her breath and I got relief immediately. She performed a healing spell on me.

  She opened her eyes and I saw something else in them. She caressed my cheeks and bent to kiss me but I turned instantly and the kiss landed on my right cheeks.

  She pulled away and smiled.

   "That's more like it,now I think it's time to go say hello to someone' parents."

She said and pulled me up.

  "That's right, let's go"

  I said and we disappeared. Enough walking, we had walked enough today.
