Chapter 285 Love And Peace

     I opened my apartment door and made way for Ben to go in while I followed through. I locked the door behind me and dropped tiredly on the couch, Ben carefully laid Jeff on the couch and came over to my side of the couch and sat down.

   "You are good?"

He questioned and scanned me through. I was not in for words so I nodded my head and he relaxed.

   "It's been a day and I did not plan for us to have it this way but nevertheless, we went out and spent time together even though it was not quality enough but we have got more time and we will spend it with each other"

He said rubbing my palms together with his which brought warmth to my body. I snuggled closer to him and sighed. This feels like home and home will it be forever.

  "You know the day you told me off, I kept wondering why you would do that other than you have got a fiance but I could not come to terms with it. You pushing me away because of me still keeps me in awe but no matter what, we are here together and that's all that matters. So thanks Nora for choosing me even when you did not know you were doing so"

    I shut my eyes and let myself drown in his words.

 Ben's point of view…..

I kept talking and talking until I realized that Nora had slept off. I know she is tired and leaving her to rest is what I should do. I looked over at Jeff to see him still sleeping soundly. 

   I picked Nora up and headed towards her bedroom leaving Jeff behind.

     I got to her bedroom and laid her down on the bed then proceeded to stand up when I felt her wrap her arms around my neck pulling down to her. I struggled to pull out but she held me tight. I sighed and laid down with her, hoping to leave when she might have slept far which I don't know when that will be.

    I was counting the seconds in my mind and I am sure by now, I might have counted up to hundreds. I have made attempts to pull away from Nora's grib, no way. I was beginning to think I might be caged until she wakes up and that's what it looks like. Fighting this was not an option so I decided to maybe have the rest with her but it does not settle well with me to leave Jeff at the living room, not that it's not safe but I just don't feel comfortable.

   I adjusted myself on the bed then made her snuggled closer and I closed my eyes not without placing a kiss on her forehead.

    The wing was swiftly blowing bringing calmness to every troubled soul. Nora could not stop smiling and giggling. To see her happy is my top priority and I would do anything to make sure she is first in my life.

   How we got to the top of the hill is what I could not tell but I just know that we have been here for the past twenty minutes admiring what nature can offer.

   Love and peace is all we pray for because it's everything.

    She entwined her hands with mine and looked deep into my eyes.

    "Will you ever stop loving me"

She asked, I checked to see if she has any doubt in her eyes but there was none, then if she does not doubt my love for her, therefore, I should not have it that I will ever stop loving her and besides who will ever stop loving a beautiful soul like Nora?.

   "I will never stop loving you my darling. I pledge to you with my life"

I said and she smiled.

   "I don't doubt your love for me, I was just asking out of formality."

  She said then turned her back on me.

    I was about to say something when I felt her freezing, the weather was normal and I could not tell why she had to start freezing all of a sudden. 

     She was shivering like hell and I pulled my coat then covered her with it. I carried her and began going down the hill when I felt a chilled air around and I knew at once that it could be the source of Nora freezing and it smells like trouble.

 "I felt myself boiling up, I am a human, that I know but whoever you are, you should not mess with the one after my heart."

   I stopped and tried to figure out where the source could be coming from. I did not have to search for long and I saw her.

   She stood far away with silver-like hair and a trident on her left hand. She was dressed in black, the only color you could make out of her is the hair and her eye color which is the same with the trident in her left hand.

   The rest were covered in some piece of clothing.

   I eyed her from hair to toes and cursed. She stared at me and laughed evilly.

    "I will be the end of you Benjamin"

She said and disappeared and instantly, Nora's temperature returned to normal.
