Chapter 262 The Heart Will Always Go For What It Wants

     I wondered what she was doing here,I sighed and opened the door and made a way for her to walk in. I scanned her through. She was putting on a red gown that brought her shapes and curves. I rolled myself at the manner in which she carried herself. I always know she is pompous.

   "Good morning Rosie"

I said with a straight face.

   "I am not here for pleasantries, Nora. You have got what belongs to me and you have to let it go."

   "Rosie, I don't think I do, rather you were the one who had made use of what's mine for a long time now so I owe you nothing."

   I replied hoping she understands but no, she did not because she looked at me in a way that says I am a joker.

  "I don't think I do.  Nora, I trusted you with everything I have got and never once had I thought that after everything I will lose Ben to you. You were once his ex. Why don't you remain in the past where you belong?."

 She said viciously and I was taken back. There is a way she said the last statement that anyone with her right sense will not overlook such.

  " Rosie, if I am not mistaken,I was never Ben's ex to the best of my knowledge and I am not afraid of you. You have no right to dictate who I am to date. Though the way your relationship with Ben ended was not nice at all but it's not my fault. The heart will always go for what it wants."

   I need her to understand that it's not my fault. If anyone should be blamed, it should be Nature not me for putting me up in this love entanglement. I hissed internally and I felt she had overstayed her welcome. 

   "I think it's time you leave my place. Don't come and play mind games here with me because I don't have time for such. So thank you for dropping by."

I said, gesturing for her to leave, she stared at me and I did the same. Does she think I am afraid of her or what?.

   "Nora, I don't think you know what you are up against. Like I said before, I don't let go of what belongs to me so get ready to contend with me. Have a good day"

She said and stepped out of the house without taking a second glance. I heaved a sigh and jammed the door closed. 

   It looks like today is for unexpected visitors, and if I am not mistaken, the first visitor I had was because of Ben and now Rosie came here for Ben too.

   I don't really want to think about anything but whoever the first lady is, I will find out and I pray there is no past between her and Ben. I have wanted my mate for so long and now that I have found him, forces are rising.

   Life does not go without a problem, after solving this problem, another one awaits you.

   I turned and walked back to the kitchen. I hope Ben stays safe because his life is more important right now

   I got to the kitchen to see Mom sitting on my kitchen counter waiting patiently for me. 

   "Mom, you came?"

 I asked and rushed her to give her a hug. I am surprised she is here.

   "Yes my darling. I came to congratulate you"

She said rocking me to and fro,I smiled at the gesture. Gina did this yesterday and mom is doing it now.

   "Mom I am no longer a kid, stop doing that"

   I said giggling. She pulled apart and pinched my cheeks.

   "Don't be silly Nora, you are always a kid in my eyes"

She said and smiled.

   "Thanks Mom, I appreciate"

"Sure. I see you have regained colors on your cheeks unlike last time I saw you"

She was so right about it. I noticed it.

  "Yeah, I am happy you know but I think you owe me an explanation. I feel you know something about me being Emery and you never mentioned it."

I said and she gasped which confirmed what I said.

  "I have always known darling but telling you will not still help you find your mate. The way you found out is the best, know that whatever that happens always have a reason so don't dare blame me for not mentioning it"

   She said meanly, I sighed and looked up at her. I know better not to argue with mom

  "Alright Mom, thanks anyway. How is Dad?"

   "He is fine, he sends his regards and how is the princess"

She asked.

  "She is fine, I saw her yesterday which you are aware off"

  I responded, she shrugged her shoulders and stood up.

  "I came to see how you are doing, be careful because evil looms around but know that we have got you so no need to fear" 

She said and turned her back on me.

   "Nora see you when I have to see you again"

She said and vanished, I sighed and bit my lower lip. I wonder what evil that looms around this time around?.
