Chapter 270 Memory Box

     I had walked a few steps when I heard a voice I know who it belongs to. I turned and sighted her coming to meet me with Jade happily spreading his hands to her. I smiled and handed Jade to her the moment She got to me.

  "Nora, you came?" 

she said and hugged me so tight.

  "Yes dear friend,I came to see an old friend"

I said and we disengaged from the hug. She led me to a rock and we both sat down.

  "I see Jade is all grown now. What have you been feeding him?"

I asked and she smiled, gaining a giggle from Jade.

   "Nothing, normal food for kids. Jade is a sweet baby and would not give you problem after he is well fed"

She said and ruffled Jade's hair. Jade struggled out of her hold and ran off after waving at me.

   "He is always like this"

Govey said.

   "He likes you so much and I am surprised he has got memories despite the fact he is just a baby."

I said and looked at him as he giggled and played.

    "Jade is special,he is the reason I don't want to leave here because the magic of the East protects him from evil. Many forces want to lay their hands on him and it will be terrible for the human race if the wrong person gets to him. I fear for the humans because I don't know how long I am going to protect them because protecting him is the same as protecting the human"

 She said and sigh. She has a good heart. So it's because of Jade that she has been here but how long with the East magic protects him.

   "What is he?"

I asked

   She sighed and looked at Jade.

 "He is the memory Box of the human Race which means that through him human mind can be manipulated by one person who might have figure out how to use his power"

   She replied and I was shocked. I have read somewhere about the memory Box and what could be the fate of the whole world if it gets into the wrong hands and I never knew the memory Box would be a human boy.

  "But he could learn how to master his power so that no other person will do that for him?.

I asked and she nodded her head.

   "Yes but he is too tender, he can only do that if he turns seventeen by then he will fulfill a long time prophecy"

   "Prophecy?What prophecy?"

I asked.

  "The prophecy about when the Human Nature will be in the hands of one man and it will it take a 17 year old boy to defeat the dark lord that's only if the boy survive till then but if not the world will be in great danger"

   I shivered after I heard her say that. I came here to tell her something only for me to find out that in seventeen years time, the world will trumble.

   "And Nora the fate of that human race lies in my hands and I have been praying day and night that I will be able to raise Jade up till he becomes 17"

  She said and I squeezed her hands. 

   "It's fine Govey, you are doing a great job and Jade will definitely be able to save the human race. I can only imagine how the fate of the world will be."

   I replied and hugged her.

  "Thanks Nora, we will find a way. The witches are not involve but we have our own who had turned human in the name of love so what affects the human, affect them too, one way or the other we are deeply involved"

   "I know Govey but it's going to be fine because good always prevail over evil"

   I said and brought out the envelope and showed it to her and she widened her eyes when she saw it.

  "Lady D"

She muttered under her breath and I looked sharply at her.

  "Lady D, the one who killed Emery?"

I asked

"Yes she is the one,you are saying as if you are not Emery"

She said and hissed.

  "Sorry I forgot,I just found out yesterday so I am not used to the thought"

   "It's fine"

She said and snatched the paper from me. She scanned through it and laughed heartily.

  "One who keeps making mistakes is a fool, don't mind her Nora, she is pained and she can't succeed as long as I am concerned so don't worry, you will do nothing. She failed long time ago"

Govey said and I smiled, I thought as much. She might try anything but she will definitely not succeed.

   "Well I thought to let you know because you have got insight in things like this so I think my mission here is completed. I need to leave because I have a date with my Mate, I hope to come from time to see you and Jade "

I said and hugged

  "It's fine my friend, Jade and I will always be here to receive you."

  "Help me say well to him, tell him that aunty needs to run along."

I said and disappeared after she waved goodbye. I hope to see you soon dear friend.
