Chapter 317 First Thing First

   Ben and I got to the living room and Jeff had done justice to the plastic bag he came in with while Govey stared at him helplessly. He was obviously enjoying himself, so the content of the plastic bag was Ice cream.

   Ben was speechless and I can't even explain how I felt seeing him sitting on the floor with no care in the world and enjoying the ice cream he was not given permission to and this is one of the reasons I don't know if Ben will cope with him because Ben can easily get pissed off, he does not have great patience like me.

    "Jeff, what are you doing?"

I asked.

   "What does it look like I am doing, licking ice cream of course"

He replied nonchalantly, Ben made to move and I held him tightly.

  "Remember you promised to take care of him and besides, the Ice cream was obviously his so why the fuss, darling?"

Ben calmed down and went to sit down, Jeff looked up at me and showed his beautiful set of teeth. I could not get angry with him if I wanted to. Ben's anger is because he did not ask before taking the ice cream and I understand.

  " Jeff I know the ice cream is for you but next time ask before you take, it shows you are good kid when you do so"

He nodded without sparing me a glance, with that being said, I thought it was time for Govey and I to leave, we have wasted time already and we don't know how far Jade has been taken or if he is in the enemy's custody which I pray not if not we are so doomed.

   "Jeff be good and don't give Uncle trouble, say hi to you family for me"

I kissed his cheeks and he smiled.

"I will and take care"

He said taking the last scoop of his ice cream and stood up with gratitude.

"It was nice meeting you and I hope to see you again"

He hugged my legs and pulled away, I felt like crying. I am going to miss him, he is such a sweet soul.

   Ben stood up and came to me.

"Like I said before, be careful and don't forget I love you."

With that he took Jeff and they left leaving Govey and I to sort out the problems at hand.

   "That boy is really cute, he behaves more like Jade only that he is stubborn but Jade is not"

Govey said and I could agree no less.

   "I think it's time to go Govey,no time to spare"

"Yeah, let's go"

I locked the door and we found ourselves in the South, the throne house to be precise.

   We met a maiden and requested to see the queen and she led us to the lounge before leaving to call the queen. I sat down with Govey.

  "Here looks ancient"

She said,admiring the place.

"Yeah, it is. What do you expect?"

I said then asked.

   It's been two weeks since I was here, the day I came with Sharon, a whopping two weeks of victory. I can't believe it was all over. All over?, I don't think so, that nightmare I had can't just be a nightmare, it was a revelation of sorts. Since I am here, I might as well relate it with Gina. I need her to know and together we will know what to do because as it is now, it's up to us. But first thing first, let's tackle Jade's issue.

   Govey's stare was all-over the place, she really likes what she is seeing.

    Gina came in and I was the first to see her but no, her face was not looking bright. I wondered why, could it be the pregnancy?

   "Gina darling"

I said rising and she managed a smile then looked at Govey with a look that says " I hope it's not another mystery?"

  I chuckled, is she tired of mysteries?

"Hi princess, I have heard so much about you. I am Govey from The East"

Govey introduced herself with a charming smile which triggered Gina to smile fully.

She sat opposite me and I did the same too. There was no time for pleasantries so I went straight to the point.

   "Gina we need your help"

I said and she looked up instantly.

   "What could that be?"

"We need to find someone and you are the only me who could help us since none of us has a crystal ball. A witch without a crystal ball, what can you call that kind of witch. I never thought it was necessary to have one but I guess after today I will get one."

I said with no ease

  "Who?"

"A boy who the fate of the humans lies in his hands"

Govey said and Gina stilled which simply means she knows about him too but why am I surprised?, she ought to know him because she is the witch princess. Things like this do not go pass her notice.
