Chapter 394 A Gift From Me To You

     Huddy nodded her little head and I patted her head then brought out the box and showed it to her.

  "Do you have any idea who has this or where it's coming from?"

 She examined the box and shook her head.

'I have no idea. But wait, what's inside?"

  "It's a necklace, a silver one"

 "A silver necklace. It could be anybody's. Maybe it's for the last occupant"

She said,

   "I don't think so, I was here yesterday and I totally cleaned here up. There was no box of necklace"

  I told her.

 "If you are sure about that then keep the necklace, the owner might come back for it"

  She said exactly what I thought but I am being tempted to put the necklace on.

  She saw me staring at the box and laughed. 

  "You seem to be eyeing the box. Check the necklace out. It might be a welcome gift from heaven knows where. Anything is possibly"

   I tried shaking the tempting thoughts off. I can't say why this box is compelling me, I really don't want to have what I don't own.

    "What's the big deal, just try it on. It's not like the owner would know you wore it. Just wear it and see how you look on it then you can remove it."

Something said at the back of my mind.

   "Well let me see how it looks on me"

I said and opened the box then picked the necklace. It sparkled and Huddy exclaimed.

  "It's beautiful, Gracie"

"It is"

I said and stared at the necklace. I felt like there is a strong power coming from the necklace and I had a second thought but before I could put it back on the box, it was already on my neck.

  Power surged into my body and I felt complete, like a missing part of me emerged with me.

  "The necklace looks like it was made for you, it's really beautiful. If you ask me I will tell you to keep it"

Huddy said and I smiled.

  "No thank you, I am taking it of"

I said and stretched my hands over to my neck to pull off the hook but there was no hook. I have seen strange things all my life so I was not shaken. A necklace which had a hook suddenly has no hook.

  I shook my head and made to pull it up over my neck but the necklace would not even move.

  Huddy saw me struggling with the neck and laughed.

  "The necklace loves you and does not want you to remove it so keep it Gracie, it does not bite"

  If only Huddy knows. I let go of the necklace. I just hope it does not get stuck on my neck.

    Too much for a necklace.

"Look who got stuck with a necklace?"

I turned to see the fang boy smirking at me. The last person I want to see right now

Theopihilus point of view….

  After Tiana left, I felt my pocket but the box of necklace was gone. I can't remember removing it anywhere. It belongs to Abigail and I am supposed to give it to her but now that the necklace is gone, what am I going to give to her?

   I don't think the necklace is gone, it will be somewhere here, I just have to look for it.

   I searched all over my room but could not find it so I went out to the eating room to see if I had made a mistake dropping it there but I did not find it so I left for Gracie's new apartment, maybe I left it there.

     I opened my eyes to behold the necklace on her neck. She wasn't aware that I was in the room with her. I think she was trying to remove the necklace but she could not and the rabbit was staring at her or maybe telling her something.

  "Look who got stuck with a necklace?"

She looked towards me and rolled her eyes then looked away.

  "Go away, I don't need your trouble"

She said a little pissed off.

"Sorry my dear, I have come to take my necklace but it looks like you have got it on and it is not coming off so what should we do?"

  "The necklace is yours? Thank goodness, please come and remove it. You might be able to"

She said more like begging me.

   I really like the necklace on her and I don't mind if she has it. Maybe I will just make a replica of it and give it to Abigail, case close.

  "No you can keep it, a gift from me to you"
