Chapter 415 How Life Goes

Gina's point of view…..

I left Theophilus's room not quite settled. His reaction was not genuine at all, I knew he was hiding something but what?. He is bringing Abigail home but does not seem excited. The Theopihilus I know would do anything for Abigail when they were kids, I thought maybe with time, whatever issue he might have had with Abigail, he would have settled it with her but as the time went by, he became more withdrawn and sometimes, I don't recognize him again.

I was on my way to my chamber when I bumped into mom and  Lily.

"Hi Mom, baby sister, it's too early for a visit. Did you and Lily sleep at Beverly"

I asked, scanning her over.

"Good morning big sis, this is the same question I ask mum this morning when she woke me up and said that we are going to the South, she actually screamed on my head"

Lily said, frowning. She looks cute when she does her face like that. She is fifteen now and is growing into a fine woman, soon boys would be tripping in and out of mom's house. She's getting better treatment than what mom gave me.

"Lily, don't forget I am here. My hands can still reach your head and a spank will literally be a good brain reset for you this morning"

Mom told her in a warning tune and she took a step away from mom. I chuckled looking at the two of them.

"We are here for tonight, I just feel like I should come and witness my grandson getting married, don't you think it is sweet, Gina?"

She said and eyed Lily who took another step and started running towards Theophilus's room.

"Sis, I don't want mom to ruffle my beautiful made hair so I am going to catch some time with my unmarried nephew who will be getting married tonight"

We heard her say.

Mom shook her head and turned her attention to me. I needed not to tell her next word which would be, won't you offer me a seat?

"Mom, don't say it. Just follow me"

We arrived at my chamber a few minutes later and asked her to sit down. I had sent a message for refreshments to be brought to us.

"Gina, you don't look bright tomorrow is your son's marriage day and you are looking gloomy, what could be the problem?"

"Mom, I am worried about Theophilus, he doesn't seem excited for midnight. I am trying to understand if he doesn't want the marriage."

I told her part of my fears. I don't want to acknowledge that seeing the girl with hidden identity in my dreams last night bothers me too. She is not harmful and I know this but why will she appear in my dreams, a night to my son's marriage day?. It could be anything which I am supposed to figure out but anything that has to do with her is beyond my control.

"I know Theophilus and Abigail, besides, they have been friends from birth and they are mates. You don't have to worry about him, he just isn't that too excited. He has been with Abigail all his life, that's why he is not that excited."

Mom said and at the same time smiled. It could be true though because he mentioned it as well so I might believe it.

"How is your husband, mom? Why is he not here with you"

"He has got something to do, he will drop by later"

Minutes passed and we said nothing, just dwelling in our own thoughts. The refreshments arrived and I served mom as she watched me. We take this while we wait for breakfast.

Theophilus's point of view…

My door flung open and my all time aunt ran towards my bed and jumped on it when she got to the bed. I shifted to one side so that she would not crush on me. Sometimes I don't understand how life goes, how can a fifteen year old girl be my aunt.

"Morning Theophilus, I can't wait to see your bride"

She screamed.

"Lily, lower your voice. You will wake the sleeping demons"

I said and stood up. Having Lily here this morning will be another problem on its own. She can be disturbing and her inquisitive nature is so annoying.

"Demons don't sleep and you know that."

She said , sticking her tongue out at me,

"I know your bride. Aunt Nora's daughter. I don't get it, why will you be marrying your cousin?"

"Lily, ask Grandma and she will explain, don't have time for your troubles. I need to be somewhere by now"
