Chapter 417 Journey Ahead

Abigail's point of view….

I was standing in front of my closest, looking at all of my clothes. It's a pity none of these is going with me to the South. Why have so many things when at the end, you will not have to use them. Even my phone, I am not going to the South with it. 

  The newest bride in town who has suddenly lost a chance to civilization. Why can't the South be developed, why?

   So after today, I will become a visitor to my own dad's house?

 I felt like I was suffocating so I closed the closet and left my room. I found myself in an open field with few trees around. I sat down and sighed. The peace around here is what I soothe.

  I closed my eyes and drowned myself into the beautiful bliss.

 "The air soothes your soul and it takes away your sorrows. What is a beautiful angel doing in the middle of nowhere surrounded by a few trees?"

I heard and flicked my eyes open to behold a lady in back. Her eyes look beautiful like the rising sun and her lips look like that of an Angel not that I have seen Angels before, only heard or maybe I am seeing one right now. But wait, is an Angel not supposed to be in white.

  I shook the thought of my head and examined her face, her face can't be compared to anyone's face. She is the most beautiful person I have seen in my entire life.

  "Nothing, by the way, who are you and why are you this beautiful?

She smiled and bent to my eye level. 

  "Have you looked at yourself in the mirror, you are the most beautiful lady I have seen."

  I chuckled.

"Please don't flatter me. If you are saying this to make me feel better then you are succeeding because I am feeling good"

"I am glad I can put a smile on your face so back to my question, what are you doing here all by yourself, this place is not safe for someone like you"

I don't know but I felt I could trust the lady. She looks so harmless but why would an Angel be on black?

  "Why are you dressed in Black"

I asked and she sat down beside me.

"Because black compliments my skin"

She replied and I nodded. That's a good reason though and why should I be bothered by what she is dressed in.

   "I am getting married and I will be leaving my life of sixteen years plus behind to start a new life"

I said.

  "That's sad. I bet you are not ready and because you have to do it, you have no choice. I am sorry, I really don't know how it feels but don't you think there is a good reason for you to be married at this age?"

I looked at her for some time then took my eyes off her. I don't expect her to understand.

   "It's and I am happy about it but I just feel it's too early. I am too young, I will be seventeen in a few hours and where I grew up, that's the peak of teenage life. You have got to party, have a boyfriend, smoke or probably get screwed one or twice. All of these are what I am going to miss because I am getting married"

   I whined, fumbling with my fingers.

"We have different destinies. Yours might be to get married early, there is a reason you are getting married if I am not mistaken and your parents love you too much to allow you to go through what they know you can't go through. I believe they know you can do this and that's why they want you to do it. There might be a good side to this. Just hope for the best and you will be fine before you know it"

   She said and I couldn't agree less. She was damned right. I sighed and smiled brightly.

"I can do this, yes. There is no need to run away from my duty. It has always been what I wanted so I am going to go back home, prepare myself for the journey ahead."

I said, smiling. I turned to thank her but she was gone. I found her space empty.

   "You should at least tell me who you are so that I will come looking for you in the nearest future. Anyway, thank you for making me realize that it's my call and I have to take it up.
