Chapter 428 Something More

 I got to the hospital, I don't really all about the hospital but I hope I could get the help I needed. She is breathing does not mean she is not in danger.

  I alerted the hospital of the emergency and before I knew it, two nurses came with a stretcher and I helped them laid Gracie on the stretcher then she was carried inside while I followed behind.

  She was wheeled into the emergency ward and a doctor was standing by when we got inside the world.

  I was asked to stay outside but I objected to it and when the doctor saw I was determined he allowed me.

   The doctor first check her heartbeat then scribed something on his pad and after he did all that he had to do, he faced me and smiled.

  "In my office Ma'am"

He said and walked towards the door. I was so hesitant but I had to follow him to know what is wrong with Gracie.

  I got to his office and he asked me to sit down.

   "Who is the lady to you?"

"She is a friend"

I replied.

  "You know who she is or any member of her family?"

  I said no then the doctor kept quiet.

"I need to see her father, do you have her phone with you?"

The doctor asked after a moment of silent.

  "Doctor, her cell phone is in my car but you can tell me whhat is wrong with her, is she okay, is she suffering from any kind of disease?"

The doctor looked at me and smiled.

"She is okay, perfectly okay but I need to get in touch with her people. Please if you don't mind get me her cell phone"

  I stood up with no words and left the doctor's office. Why would the doctor insist to know or see her family when she is okay. 

  I don't think all is okay like the doctor said and I am afraid that Gracie's life might be in danger. I just knew her for a little time but I like her a lot. She has this weird character that makes me to like her more everyday.

   I was back with the phone inside the doctor's office. He asked me to check her phone to see if I can get any family member of hers' number from the phone but to tell you what, I saw no number on her phone. 

   I was shocked, why have a phone that has no number saved on it?

  The doctor was hopefully waiting for me to provide a number but when he saw that I was not saying anything, he spoke up.

   "Is there any problem?"

"Yes, I can't find any number on her phone"

I replied and the doctor stared at me shocked. 

  "That's weird, how long have you know her?"

"A week plus, she is my neighbor. She packed in newly"

   "All thess while she is been with you, has any member of her family, like anyone she says is her family member visited her?"

"I don't know any but since she is ok like you said, I think we will wait for her to wake up and you can ask her. I can't provide any information concerning any member of her family"

    "Okay, she will be up in less than 30 minutes. She is reacting to something that is beyond science and that's why she blacked out. Her body is getting adapted to it. It's like a foreign fluid in her body which is trying to mix with her blood and I can tell you it's not harmful to her body"

  The doctor explained and it sounded strange to me. A foreign fluid in her body that is trying to mix with her blood. What could that be?.

  She should wake up fast and explain why she has to give me heart attack. I was trying to calm down but I could not. 

  The doctor's silence meant he was done talking to me. The doctor behave strange to me. This is not how to rely information, he looks unprofessional to me.

  I shook my head and stood up then left his office.

The doctor of Hilltop hospital, Dr Dan chewed on his pen. He has been a doctor for twenty years but today is the first time he is seeing something so strange. The girl which was brought to the hospital is fine but he found something strange in her system and that had made her to faint.

  The strange thing happening to her is as strange as she is. She is human but she is something more, something powerful.

  Weird, she has no family contact on her phone.
