Chapter 442 Just Say Yes

    "Is the prince the one coming to pick you up?

Huddy suddenly asked.

"Yes Huddy, you know I can't disappear"

And speaking of the prince, he appeared.

  He smiled broadly when he saw me.

"You look amazing, Gracie"

"Thanks Theophilus, you are not looking bad yourself"

I replied. He was in this royal dress. I have not seen any of it before so I can't describe it.

  "Shall we go now?"

He asked and bowed then took my hands in his and kissed them. He was behaving like a gentleman. Huddy Chuckled and told me to have fun.

  "Yes we should"

I rose up from the bed  and he nodded but before we left, he stared deep into my eyes.

  "Thank you, Gracie"

I did not know why he was thanking me so I said nothing, only smiled at him.

   I opened my eyes and found myself in this big room. I opened my eyes and closed it. It was like a fairy tale dream. I felt the magic around me. I could name it the world of magic.

  "Theophilus, what is this place called?"

I asked him excitedly. Here is nothing like I have seen before though it has the same aura as the woods.

   "Well this is my room, welcome to my country. It is called the South. Let me burst your head, The South is in the past, that's just to tell you that you are actually in your past now. It's the country where witches live, like everyone you will see here is a witch except you. Maybe someday we will become future or a present but for now, we are still the past"

  He explained. First time I am hearing such a thing. So this Unknown country is called the South.

   "I like it here. I wish I can appear and disappear like you so that I will continue to visit here." 

 I said sadly.

   "You can be anything you choose to be it's up to you"

  He said smiling and I was like, why is he smiling?.

   "I know, so tell me where is everyone?. I mean your bride, your family?. I hope they will not mind a human in their midst"

   "They will not mind. My mom is a very lovable person. She is a hundred percent human, a hundred percent witch. I am not trying to tell you that human blood flows through her, I am trying to tell you that she grew up in the human world and she wouldn't mind seeing you here. And about the Bride, she is already here."

   The last sentence made me look around. I was trying to see where the bride was but I found no one, just him and I.

"Where is the bride again?"

I asked again.

"She is right here?"

Theophilus said and circled me. I turned around to understand what was going on and found him with a ring staring at me.

  "Marry me Gracie. I am not asking you, I am telling you"

  I stared at him with no word forming in my mouth. I could not find the word NO in my brain and after staring at him for long, he slipped the ring into my figure and smiled.

  I pulled my hands away from him and stared at the ring. This was not supposed to be happening. I came here for his marriage not to be married to him. 

    I looked the ring again and smiled fully,

"The ring looks great on my finger. It looks as if it was made for my finger,for me. But you see I can't marry you"

His smile slipped and he was frowning.

  "I might have taken no from you in the past few days but you  see this time around. I am commanding you to marry me. Do you think I will let you go, huh?"

He pushed me against the wall and traced his fingers on my face.

   "Do you think I don't deserve you, princess?, do you think you will not make a good mate for me. Whether you like it or not, I marked you without knowing it. I did that Eleven years ago."

    He said and I remembered.

"The boy who saved me from a snake bite"

I asked, surprised.

  "Yeah, that's me. For long I was trying to understand why I could not stay away from you. It's because I chose you myself even when someone else's was chosen for me. I don't care if you are a human, Gracie, just say yes and that will be all"

   It has been him all along, the shadow lurking around and the presence I always feel every time.
