Chapter 32: Don't hide It for long!

"Babe! I've got to talk to you about something. Its important." Eric stood behind while she faced the mirror in anguish, dressed in a sleeveless chiffon red short gown. Eric tried to come close to her as she turned to face him instead

"What else do I have to know aside screwing a whore?" Ada asked with fierce look

"Ada! Can you calm down let's talk, I can explain from start to finish..." He began with fret

"Go ahead! Don't waste my time!" Ada flared

He stood silent and sighed, seeking the best way to describe the cheeky scenario.

"...I admit that...uh...that i...Ada!" He stopped like a dead engine, he noticed her eyes all teary. She began to breathe heavily

"Ada, I'm sorry! I swear on my life that I never had the intention to do that, I was not myself...."

"Just stop, Eric!" She yelled out in anger and continued

"Eric, I thought that what we had was inseparable, I thought we were meant to be, I thought we'd never come across this. I thought I had the man of my dreams, but look at us....Just look at us, Eric, you screwed it." She began to sob, turning away holding her forehead, she tried to hide the tears but they were unstoppable.

"Babe! I'd fix this, I swear. Just tell me what I got to do to fix this and I would."

"Just shut the hell up!" She turned yelling overly with tears dripping in turns, she looked shabby, her hair could tell too.

"Yes Eric, there isn't anything Is this world that you can't do! I know that. What is it that she got that I don't? We both know that im better, I got the money, the best job ,I gave you daughter, my body, what else Eric? Just tell me." She turned away again

Hw stood helpless and hopeless, he knew she could do anything at the moment, but he was ready to take it at no cost then he continued

"Honey, I'm sorry. Do whatever you feel is better to punish me, I'd take it. I'll pay for it" he demanded vulnerably as she interrupted

"To make it much easier for the both of us, I've been thinking about it lately, nearly three weeks of your pathetic silence, I've thinking so bad that I decided and concluded..." She took off the ring throwing it at him and continued "...I want a divorce..." She blurted

"Ada..." He stood shocked even though he suspected

"...don't call my name." She warned them she turned to the drawer as she took out a file that carried the annulment papers and threw it at him

"Let's end this pathetic marriage, everyone calls a blessing. Let's cut the chase, man! Sign them right now, don't waste our time. Remember you got political businesses then some business with your freshly baked whore, mmm-hmm!" She requested with a smirk, he knew she was crazy and overheated at the moment.

"I can't. We got Kayla..." He reminded

"Did you think about her when you screwed that whore, did you? Don't try to preach what you ain't practicing, just sign the damn papers!" She scolded like a psycho

"Ada...Baby, let's work it out. Give me a chance to make it right, I promise to get it right!" He tried to persuade

"Nah Eric, not anymore." She walked out of the room

He fell to the ground all wound up, full of regrets and distress.

The doorbell rang as the house help, Cathy, opened up. Carol and Kayla walked in as Cathy gave an adequate bow while Carol acknowledged with a faint nod as she asked. She figured the unusual silence.

  "Where's my children?"

  "In the bedroom, ma'am!"

"Take Kayla out for ice cream!" Carol instructed

"But grandma, we just got in. I haven't seen mom for a week now!" Kayla countered rightly

"I know sweetheart, I've got to persuade mom to bring you back home. I've got to  speak to her privately. Remember what I told you about privacy?" Carol asked politely and sweet

"When you talk in secret about something confidential..." Kayla said smartly

"Great! That's my angel. Cathy would get you a bucket of vanilla and chocolate ice cream!" Carol snuggled Kayla's cheeks

Kayla ran to Cathy who stood smiling in admiration.

"Sam would would drive you both. Not a Single scratch, or you better not show up" Carol instructed

"Yes ma'am!" Cathy affirmed In assurance

Carol went upstairs instantly heading to their master bedroom.

"Anyone home? Can someone explain the meaning of this silence?" Carol said loudly

She met Eric who ignored as if he heard nothing, leaning beside the bed.

"Eric, did you not hear me?" Carol drew closer

Ada walked out of the bathroom after she had a shower

"Mother, you're here." She walked to her closet to get dressed

"What did you think? How irresponsible you could be, Ada. Kayla wants to be around you but it seems like you are too busy to do that. I brought her home." Carol explained

"I heard!" Ada said concentrating on her clothes

"What exactly is going on here, Ada?" She looked at them both at once

"Mother, can we talk outside?" Eric  requested calmly

"Take the papers with you!" Ada blurted

"What papers?" Carol asked in confusion

"None of your business, Carol!" Eric said as he walked out briskly

Carol turned to Ada

"Could you explain what exactly is going on in this house?" Carol asked.

Ada turned to her finally with an unaccommodating look

"Are you really interested in our family issues or its one of your ways of luring.." Ada asked with a disrespectful tone

Carol gave her a slap immediately

"Is that all you got? Don't pretend to not know what you've been up to with my husband, don't pretend mother." Ada said

"Ada? I don't even know you right now!" Carol expressed her distaste

"Whatever you got with Eric, good luck to that. If I ever find out the shit you both have been up to..." Ada smirked and continued  "...Trust me, I'd make it my business to see y'all miss out and rot in prison"

"Do you realize who you're talking to?"

"The governors' first lady? I know that. You know..." She started pacing around "...I realized something is up and you knew Eric was cheating on me with some whore but you kept quiet, you acted cool to it and I wonder why. I don't even know you anymore, my parents are aliens, y'all let power override you ever since dad became governor its been one shit to the other!" Ada narrated

"Ada, where is this coming from?" Carol looked innocent

"C'mon mother, don't pretend. Being the states' attorney is no small job and I don't lose my criminal cases. We preach honesty and Integrity during and after every campaign but y'all are doing the opposite. Posing to the crowd to be the perfect family, I won't be a part of this parody!" Ada blasted turning away

Carol walked shamefully this time after the smack she got from Ada; she knew she wouldn't have it easy somehow.

Three days later,

12:07pm,

We heard the doorbell as Bella hurriedly walked to the door. Jamal and I were sat on the couch seeing new movies on Netflix as Bella interrupted

"I'm sorry to interrupt, you got a visitor!"

"Who's that? Let him in." I snapped concentrating on the movie

"Him? Are you inviting a man into this house while I'm here?" Jamal asked

  "Yes bro!" We laughed

  "Hi Danni. Jamal."

I heard a voice from behind as I took my legs off Jamal's thighs. We both turned to see who it was.

  "Ada?" Jamal asked in surprise

"Are you ok? You don't look good." I went towards her immediately

Ada and Jamal hugged swiftly as she turned to me.

"This is not cool, where's Eric?" Jamal asked he figured there was a problem.

"That's why im here!" Ada replied coldly

"Doesn't sound good! I'll leave you both to talk...Call me If you got issues, I'd be upstairs." He consoled Ada while he kissed me swiftly. I felt a tingle of awkwardness over the kiss but he did regardless. I loved the way he owned me and was never for once hesitant about showing me off or showing me love privately or publicly.
