Chapter 89: Stone Hearts

Stone hearts!

  "Oh! You're done!" She turned to me completely keeping the control pad on the table, she was playing a video game. "So are you taking more lessons, maybe you should help her?!" She suggested but i was surprised. I didn't think that Darkie would opt something like this.

  "Look i don't understand you, one minute you're rude and another minute you're nice?! Why do you care anyways?" I got pissed then i hopped on the bed taking the other  control pad. My brows squeezed in accordance.

  "Well because she needs your help..." She said shrugging

  "So why pretend?"

  "I'm not!!! I just can't stand her anytime I see her around you or anyone, you especially!" She shrugged again then she sat next to me to join in the game

  "You're more of a devil than an angel!" I taunted

   "That's why I'm Darkie! Holy crap, do i have to remind you about that too?" We chuckled then concentrated on the screen "Jordan?" She called sweetly

  "What?" I answered hoarsely

  "Do you know that it really hurts to send someone away especially when they love you?" She asked and it felt awkward to me, Darkie does not talk about things like this.

  "I didn't know....you should tell me!" 

  "I heard what happened between you two..."

  "Well done for eavesdropping, was it to your favor or not?" 

  "It was, honestly, but...." 

  "But what?" I almost yelled getting angry

  "....You didn't have to insult her outrightly like that! I hate her too but you don't calculate before spitting rubbish..." She blurted out then I turned to her fumed up

  "What's that suppose to mean?"

  "What if she tells her mother about what you said and her mother comes banging on your door demanding to speak with your parents, what would you say?" Darkie scolded rightly then i turned to the screen instead, she was right.

  "Get out!" I snapped

  "You once told me that your mother loves that family and you made her cry huh?! You don't calculate, honey. You never do..."

  "Dar....Darkie?? C'mon!!!" 

  "You just risked the only chance of not leaving for Senegal. I pity you, poor boy!" She taunted With a smirk. I really didn't think of that and i disliked the fact that the truth came from Darkie not even Bella. 

  "Are you done scolding me like a mother?! Let's play on!"

  "Did it hurt or not??!" She mimicked the sane words i said to Pixie. It was not funny but she laughed at me. "Let's just Wait and see what happens along the line! I got you!"

  "We're done!" I said knowing that it would refine her actions into a better one and not the sarcastic type. She turned to me instantly and Said

  "Fine! Let's see who needs an accomplice in the near future." 

She also taunted then i snuggled her nose to make her feel better Because Darkie was the only one i could rely on at the moment and maybe Jeff but she gave wonderful ideas. 

  "C'mon Darkie, you got me on this one!!"

I grabbed on her lips instead pressing a wanting kiss on it, unconsciously. 

We got interrupted by someone who badged into my room abruptly, my little sister. I totally forgot that my sister was in the mansion abd maybe bored too. She was about to turn back when darkip called immediately.

  "Hazel! I could leave if you want me to!" Darkie said. Ever since they got into an argument, they did not speak to each other not even mistakingly.I had to speak!

  "What do you want?" I asked. She walked in slowly after closing the door behind her then she sat on the edge of the bed.

  "Kareem I'm sorry, i was so stupid to have said that to you." She began while Darkie stood up to leave then i dragged her back gently because i knew that Yeesha would dislike me for that. I wanted to teach her a lesson after humiliating me before mother and father. Darkie Signalled me with her eyes then i nodded defiantly.

  "And why would i listen to you when you felt ok to have me treated like i did something to you?! I did not know that you could really think of me that way." I said

  "I'm sorry do for that. Its not easy for me right now, i was disrespectful I know that but I'd never do that to you again." She assured

  "Ok Yeesha. I could never get mad at you forever though, i still need you around!" I finally forgave her then we demonstrated our secret handshake while Darkie smiled Faintly. Yeesha got up to them Darkie blurted

  "Im sorry Yeesha, i shouldn't have uploaded the pictures withoutf your consent. I was uh..."

Yeesha turned to me instead

  "Is she your girlfriend now? I'm only curious because y'all look good together. I saw the lip-lock.....so glued...really affectionate, but its fine though....I'm not jealous like that...." Yeesha was acting abnormal already abd she seemed jealous as well.

  "Yes Yeesha! Meet my girlfriend, Darkie the idealist. Darkie this Yeesha the loud mouth!" I said sarcastically. They did not like my comments but who cares?! I muttered within. Before i could realize any more reactions, Darkie and Yeesha made with a hug. How time flies.

  "Uhm Darkie, i was thinking you could help me out with some Editing, im finding it hard to use some good filters and cropping some....you know!" She looked innocent already

  "Yes Yeesha! I'll be there in a second!" Darkie accepted nicely. Yeesha went ahead hopping side to side. Darkie took her phone with and headed out without even looking at me because it felt like she had been waiting for Hazel's attention.

Sunday!

11:13am,

Darkie was right about Pixie's reaction afterwards but i was certain that Pixie would not say a word, i knew her to be very timid most times if not all the time.  Jeff called to know if i had any plans for Senegal or not, then i decided to tell him about Darkie's idea which seemed compatible to him as well and he decided to join in the plot hopping it works. I was studying when Yeesha told me about a woman outside. She complained bitterly to Bella who was trying to calm hrr down at all cost. I was inside although not to make things worse then i recognised that it was Pixie's mother. Did she really tell on me or what just happened, i muttered within. Definitely she must have said that i insulted her family on the process, how childish i imagined. I ignored since the noise was not interrupting my study but my mind would not stop traveling back to yesterday's drama. 

Thirty minutes on, Bella walked into my room almost abruptly but she looked angry this time.

  "Kareem!!!" She groaned angrily. I knew why she called me in that manner. I turned to throwing my pen on the textbook

  "Yes Belle!" I answered coldly

  "What on earth have you done this time?"

  "How do you mean!" I feigned, i folded my arms.

  "Why are you doing this..."

  "Doing what?"

  "...Hurting people. What did you do to that poor girl, Kareem?! Mrs Morgan came here earlier complaining about your attitude towards Pixie saying she returned home crying. What did you say to her? What will your mother say to me, that i watched all of this happen without my intervention?!" She explained then i felt terrible.

  "It was only a simple conversation and then it got out of hand....i said some really pretty ugly things but she was at fault. I didn't mean it at all. She started it." I explained 

  "Ok then! I really hope she doesn't return because she promised to talk to Ms Danielle! I'll let you study but you know its not over." She walked away then i called from behind. She turned to me instantly.

  "Will you tell them about it....what just happened?"

  "I won't but they'll always find out when she comes around." She left.

I turned to my books. I was thinking of a solution but there was nothing at all, i thought that not going out would be enough reason but now that Pixie has after up, anything could possibly happen. For the moment, i focused on studying than thinking since i had course to ace the next day. Whatever it is, i think I'm ready to face them.

Monday!

As soon as i was done with the examinations for that day, Jeff anf i stayed back to talk like we always do anf that was when he vot the chance to tell me that he was now a lover you Zoe and she acknowledged him in return. I eas excited about it but it wasn't surprising at all because of the affection they portrayed to everyone and not just me including her parents who got used to the fact that Jeff would always drop her off after school despite the situation

  "How's it like back home? I never heard a word again after Pixie dropped by, remember you texted me?" He reminded

  "Oh about that!!! It was normal.." I said without talking any further

  "How normal? Darkie did not show up or what?" He sat down to listen attentively

  "She did! She did not have a problem with that but Pixie and i ended up in a really crazy conversation that led her to cry before..." I stopped

Jeff chuckled demanding the full story

  "I only told her that i hated her and reminded her of her place in my life...nothing else but her mother came forth yesterday banging on the door." I sighed yhen tubbed my hair slowly back and forth.

  "No bro! You did way too much if you ask me! So what do you got to do? Are you parents aware? You know like...." He almost stuttered

  "Not yet except you tell them."

  "You kow i won't bro!" Jeff assured

  "I know i was only messing around! We'll see how it goes anyways, right?!" I said to him in content.

We headed for a quick lunch at the cafeteria we were imvited Darkie and Zoe who were working on some books. I mother texted that they'd be home by 5pm hopefully, i was flustered and speechless yet i was lost in the process.

I heard nthe ding dong sound coming from the door while i was sitting in the living room, it must be mother and father i assumed. Bella got to the door first even if i was much closer than she was, she opened with an ever glowing face as always. My presumptions were correct, my parents were at the door then sharply i walked towards their direction giving each of them a hug while Yeesha flew from the stairs jumping on them in excitement. 

After an hour of a proper settlement we decided to have dinner to together just as always because these few days have been quite different without them around.i missed my parents and im pretty sure that everyonendid the same.

  "I'm very impressed with you Kareem, i can't believen that you've been home although our absence! Pretty impressive!" Mother began then i beamed, if only they knew that i had a hundred and one that instant but intrigued to keep a straight face anyways staring at their smiley faces

  "Me too, babe! I just don't know how it happened. Kareem loves to hang out especially when we're out of sight...Anyways my boy, you've made us proud." Father added 

  "Then how did y'all know about it, its shocking!" Yeesha asked correctly

  "That's easy! We had spies to watch, I mean, we were so worried  that he might leave the house again and then go elsewhere after the uproar the other time!" Mother explained

  "Mm hmm!" Father hummed

 I was smart enough to not think of leaving the mansion even any reason like perfumes, cookies, burgers and others. Times i requested to go out, Larry would opt to go insisting and since i disliked cabs and i couldn't drive just yet, i allowed him to go.

  "Except for these girls and apparently an elder woman who dropped by to say hi i guess." Father blurted then i stopped so that i sigh for comfort because i was already hot inside me causing me to sweat profusely. Mother observed my every move unknowingly to me then she asked

  "Sweetheart, are you ok? Why are all sweaty?" She came forth placing the back of her hand on my forehead to feel my temperature then she said that i was okay and wondered why i was in suddenly discomfort "We should call the doctor home!" Mother suggested.

I gave into her idea of taking a quick bath before back to them, i scurried away in seconds.

I had a warm shower then i returned after a few affirmations that i'd be fine no mattet what happens. If Pixie's mother comes around in cold or heated manner my parents would not let me go scot free at all because they believed that were not better than people except the wealth difference. When i went downstairs to join in for dinner then the doorbell rang while my heart dropped into the tiniest pieces then i glanced through my and realized that it was barely right thirty. Bella got the door and behold ot was a delivery man, for pizza. We wondered whommust have ordered for that then Ayeesha affirmed to it. I calme sighing heavily then i focused on the fruit Salad while Yeesha served every one a slice of it. T was the best and most delicious pizza in the city, so getting it was not a problem at all.
