Gianna confirmed to me that she had told my mother about my shenanigans earlier, I have to learn a handful.
At about 7pm, Jane came up to our bedroom to inform me about the guest who had just arrived to see me specifically. I turned to Gia while was stretching her hair.
"Babe, I guess its the staff from Dada." I snapped dropping down from the bed, I placed a swift kiss on her cheek putting on a white round neck shirt. "You shouldn't do that all by yourself, maybe I should get Jane for ya!" I suggested
"Yeah alright, I really can't get through the back you know! Go see the staff already, time's running fast." She added
"Alright! You should watch me get prepped anyways, your silly husband is really a dummy!" I taunted as well both laughed. "Come around when you're done!" I added
"OK baby!" She snapped turning to the mirror in front of her. I walked out sluggishly walking down the stairs, it was a female's back I sighted. Her wavy black hair was quite a trendy kind.
"Hi?" I hollered from behind as she sprang up on her heels, we both had a better view of ourselves. I couldn't believe my eyes at the moment. A slight frown settled on my face, hers was a like a mixed impression or so.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, I sat on the sofa adjacent while she maintained hers.
"I'm here in favor of your father's demand, I'm assigned to work with you."
"No, you are not prepping me..." I said defiantly then she cuts me short
"...Yes I am, Mr Jordan!" She snapped smirking "I didn't know I was going to prep you, I was called on a short notice and I can't turn such offer the Khaleefa's don't call twice, once you called then its a good go. I really don't wanna see your face after all." She blurted out
"Hey don't forget that I'm your boss." I reminded
"My bad, SIR! Shall we begin?" She inquired
"Do I have a choice? Let's begin." I snapped, she handed me some documents to go through.
"These are the questions that are most likely to be asked, this is a huge favor I'm doing for you." She said
"Well, that's why you're being paid for it, right?" I snapped sarcastically. "Just start already." I inquired, I felt comfortable around, I had no reason to not be because Gia was close.
She gave some really good hints and advised me to avoid some freestyles which would be best if I hadn't.
30 minutes on,
We were actually discussing some businesses and that was when I knew that she was major journalist associated with both AZ and TVS press companies respectively. She was quite interesting but I wondered why she had to pull that stunt at the hotels' bathroom earlier, maybe that was her flip side, she was an exciting person, I guess her journalism had a great impact on her.
"You are better than I thought, you did not have to pull that stunt earlier. You almost wrecked my marriage..." I said
"Oh man! My bad! You can't blame me after all. You are goddamn sexy you know, it won't happen again I promise." She assured and I kinda believed her.
"Its all good, I've got a lot to learn anyways." I said calmly "I don't even know my tutor's name, that's crazy!"
"Nessa Tinkers!" She snapped smiling
"Thanks a lot Nessa, thanks for prepping. I'm really bad at my own words, you were helpful." I added as well both rose up to our feet then shook hands.
"Thanks for having me too."
Gia strode down the stairs foppishly as we both turned towards her, she drew closer with a tight smile on her lips but her eyes had questioned me about Nessa's sudden appearance. We were unnecessarily silent for roughly 5 seconds, then I broke the awkwardness.
"Ah! Nessa, this is my pretty wife, Gianna." Then I turned to gia instantly "Babe, meet the staff, Nessa, she prepped me although!" I said.
They both shook hands forcing smiles on their faces, women are really dramatic. They did not stop staring at each other somewhat distastefully.
"Er! Ladies? Nessa, you were about to leave right?" I inquired, I was trying to avoid trouble.
"Ye...Yes right, I was. I would. Nice to meet you Mrs Jordan Kareem Khaleefa." She retorted then attempted to leave as Gia dragged her by the arm firmly, Nessa was perturbed. We didn't expect that reaction, Gia shocked me I must confess.
"Her your haves off me!" Nessa said
"I saw the card you tucked into my man's wallet, next time you try to do that, you'd end up in my pants instead. You know what that means, don't you?" Gia warned sternly, Nessa nodded lightly.
"Babe, chill off! Chill the hell off!" I interfered, I was actually acting up. Gianna released her then Nessa walked away briskly. I immediately texted my chauffer.
*Drive her home before she leaves.*
If eventually finds out then I'd be dead. She was staring at me intently with her arms crossed.
"What was she doing here? I can't believe you still let her in after everything we've been through just earlier." She cautioned, I attempted to talk but then the words were not coming in either.
"Babe, what's that about though? I had no idea she was the tutor. Dad sent her not me, i didn't let her in. How was I supposed to know?!" I retorted defensively
'That's absurd right now Jordan, you could easily send her away and Dad would understand. She's here on purpose, to wreck us off." She added
"How could you think like that? Nothing happened between us and besides she's not as bad as you think, she's a journalist. She did me good prepping me through...." I said
"Really Jordan, ate you taking her side now? I know shit when in see one!" She snapped angrily
"Would you have me shame myself out in the public? The media?" I was tensed up too
"I can't believe your ass right now, why are you slacking over this Jordan, what on earth is wrong with you?"
"You are over reacting, that's my problem." I snapped
"Trying to defend my husband is an over reaction? I'm done with this conversation, I'm off. I'm going back home and I don't care if you are coming with us." Gia instructed sternly then turned away screaming
"Jane!!!" Jane ran towards her immediately like she had been eavesdropping. "Pack our bags, we are leaving."
"But...But ma'am, I was preparing..." Jane tried to explain. Gia threw a slap at Jane's face, I did not see that coming. Gia would never act that way but she did.
"Stop that Gia, that's not fair. Keep he out if our problems." I defended while Jane walked away hurriedly. Gia turned towards my direction
"You suck!" She fired back running up the stairs. I scoffed, I was dismayed her in distress. Few minutes later, Gia was holding Khaleed on her right arm while her other hand held unto Timmy as they scurried away.
"Is Daddy not coming with us?" I heard Timmy ask her but ignored
"He'll come home when he feels like it!" She snapped. Jabe followed from behind with some bags then I gave her an apologetic look but she wasn't bothered, she smiled instead. I guess she understood that Gia was only mad at that moment. I watched them drive out if the parking space then hit the road. I sunk into the sofa as my elbows plopped into my thighs while my both fingers slid into my hair, rubbing it back and forth.
I wondered if I had acted cool, uncool or inconsiderate. I called the other housekeeper you let them know that i would join my wife as well, they affirmed in accordance. I took my car key then headed to my car. I drove out of my parents' mansions' premises.
I was halfway my journey as I saw Lamar's calls which were persistent.
"Bro!"
"Yeah bro, I need you to help with something."
"Like what exactly?" I asked in a cold tone
"What's wrong with you, man? My goods arrived and hour, I want us to check it out ASAP. They are really raw stuff. Come one man, please." He said
"Bro I'm sorry I can't..."
"Please bro, I got investors coming up tomorrow, you know that you know better at this, It won't take long." He coaxed
"Alright. Alright, where are you right now?"
"About to leave home, meet me at the warehouse!"
"I got you!" I hung up.
I texted Gianna instant since she wouldn't pick up.my calls.
*I know you're mad but can we at least talk?*
*Don't even think if returning home, I won't
I flung my phone to the passengers' seat out of anger and sudden frustration.
****
"Yeah bro, these are good! But why didn't you make purchases from Italy or France, they've got good options you know." I suggested
"Jeff suggested some bad ass brokers to me actually, my team thinks they are good as well!" Lamar explained
"Jeff knows nothing about this though!" I blurted out underneath my breath but Lamar heard, I saw the look on his face.
"Kareem, is this about Jeff or my business? Tell me if this is good enough or not, don't jilt." He countered
"My bad Man, I think this is good as well. You have got such a great taste, your investors would be impressed im certain." I added truthfully then he scoffed.
"A'ight Brodie, thanks for coming on. I knew you'd examine it justly." He added as well strode down into his mini office just at the corner. We sat on the sofa crossing our legs after a young lady served us some rum.
"What's going on, I hope I did not interrupt your family time, I just wanted to be sure that I made a good choice picking these goods." Lamar stirred up as well blinded our glasses against each
other's. I took a shot then stared at him as though I was seeking for answers to give him instead. He tilted his brows, he was waiting for an immediate answer.
"It's really complicated Lamar, it's hard to explain. You might also think I messed up big time...I'm done with people not trying to understand but instead judging my ass for common things..." I stated
"Common things like what? If I don't hear it how would I understand your point of view? Say it out, you'd feel better." Lamar coaxed
"You know the lady from earlier? At the hotel?" I reminded
"That girl that gave you her card?"
"That same girl. I've got interviews with AZ and TVS tomorrow so father sent a staff over to prep me ahead of tomorrow and unknowingly, that same walked into the house. I had no idea that she was the one coming over." I stopped after the brief explanation, his brows furrowed.
"You don't mean it! Quite a small world. So how's that a problem, like, you had nothing to do with her after all..."
"...That's the problem, Gia was mad over that. You left my parents out and stopped me from returning home. I was about to drove home when you called."
"That's crazy, Gia shouldn't think crazy just right away, women these days." Lamar stated
"Bro, you needed to see how they looked at each other, they were about to wreck themselves off humanity." I added
"What was she expecting anyways, that you'd throw the lady out?" Lamar questioned then I scoffed
"Exactly. She wanted that. My father paid for this and I couldn't send her away, it wasn't like we had anything other than professional. Nessa is good at her job and she prepped me well, you know how ignorant I am with words. She's a big time journalist bro, so I got nothing to lose in a few minutes. This is all a huge amess. Bro." I sighed
"That jealousy is on a whole different level. But Gia should not conclude things just yet, I mean its also to her own benefit if this interview goes well..she'd be appraised somehow." Lamar added
"I wish she'd understand, I really don't know what the problem is."
"Go home man, go make it up! She'll always come around and make sure to b careful around Nessa, you never can tell if the journalist cares about your wife's feelings or not." He advised and I gave an instant thought to it.
We both headed our of the warehouse driving our respective cars.
It was almost 10pm when I pulled over into my premises, I twisted the door handles then I discovered that it was locked, i gave the door a bang out of frustration then I took my phone constantly dialing Gia yet she would not pick my calls and texts.
I wondered why I owned a family after house if I couldn't get thru it, no workers around except the securities who were guarding the house. I called them then asked got the keys.
"Madam Gianna collected the keys to the mansion." Was all they could come up with. Nothing was to my favor, how could Gianna treat me this way? I asked myself. This is was ruthless and inconsiderate.
I entered into my car and closed it, it was freezing cold out there. Even the employees had a better position to lay their heads than I did, they offered their quarters boy it was pointless to me and embarrassing, I declined. I set the alarm clock on my phone so that I wouldn't oversleep eventually since I was already feeling sleepy.
I didn't realize the moment my eyes locked in frustration and fatigue.
07:00am,
The alarm ringtone from my phone woke me up as planned, 7am. My interview would start at 10am so in had two hours to prepare and arrive at the destination. My neck was sore, my bones were weak, this punishment was way too extreme. It was driving me nuts. I dropped out IG the car as the securities greeted like thy had been been waiting for me, I could see the sympathy on their faces. I hate self pity. I forced a tight smile and walked towards the main entrance door, I twisted the door handle hoping not to be disappointed, luckily it was open.
I walked in confidently heading to Timmy's room first.
I check on him every night before bed and every morning school. He was excited to see as he jumped on me, I missed my big boy too.
"I didn't see you last night, you didn't come around like you do!" He asked
"I was with uncle Lamar, we spent the whole night together talking business. You know daddy has to talk business to make more money, right?" I
