Chapter 100

After my conversation with Andrew, my body felt so cold and I started shivering maybe it's because I'm naked so I quickly ran to the bathroom to complete my unfinished business. Few minutes later, I came out looking so wet but I dried myself up with a towel and looking at my husband's face, I could see depression and tears, he couldn't even look at me anymore. I walked up to him after putting on my red gown and gently told him to go and take his bath, he agreed and I even assisted him in the bathroom because the kind of thoughts flowing through his mind can make him stay there for hours, he is completely down and it would take something massive and funny to lighten up his mood.

  "Does any of your friend know about your cancer?", I asked after we finished up in the bathroom. "I haven't told anyone, the only person that knows about my sickness is the doctor who diagnosed it, I haven't told a soul until now", he replied. This man surely knows how to keep a secret to himself, it's quite surprising to close your mouth about your health status for complete eight years, he does need an award for this.

"Alright, I'm going to the mall to get some of my creams, I heard that it's now in stock so I want to quickly grab mine before it gets completely sold out. You know a lot of women crave for that cream", I replied while arranging my hair. "What's so special about that cream of yours that everyone is dying for", he replied looking so tired.

  "The cream is just too amazing and it makes your body glow like hell, but it's quite expensive and only the rich can afford that kind of cream because it's imported", she replied. "Why do you think only the rich can afford it, how much does it cost any way", he asked. "It's just $30k", I replied

The expression in his face was priceless and I didn't know when I burst into laughter because he look so shocked by the amount. Now he would give me more respect knowing fully ware that I spend so much cash to look good for him all year round and I do take joy in doing this though, "Now I see why the average people can't afford it. I haven't even spent up to that amount for my body cream but anyways you are a lady, so I don't see anything wrong as far as you look good" he replied with a smile.

  And just when I was about to leave, he called me back and gave me $100k in cash, I was shocked beyond words especially when he went to the bed locker. Seems that is where he keeps some of his cash, this man is so full of surprises, "Thank you so much my love", I appreciated and gave him a romantic kiss on the lips before I walked down to the garage to drive out with my car. While on the way to the mall, Stella's call came through and I had to park so that I can attend to her 

"Good morning sis, how is everything going?", she asked immediately I picked up the call. "Everything is not going well at all, I have been crying my eyes out since yesterday", I replied. She paused for a quick second to see if I was actually joking before she later responded "How do you mean, what happened. Did your husband assault you?" she asked.

  I was kinda surprised why she even think in that direction, my husband won't dare lay his hands on his one and only queen, we have been married for years and the worst thing he has ever done to me is to ignore me for straight two months. "Why would you think like that, do you think my husband would lay his hands on me even if we wanted to?" I asked. "Don't get me wrong sister, most men are gradually turning to animals these days and it's hard not to think from every direction when such situation arises", she replied

"Actually the main reason that led to me crying all through the night was my husband. I can't believe that man would hide something this important from his own wife", I replied. "What did he hide from you, did he cheat on you or does he have a child elsewhere?" she asked.

  Seriously her question is making me get scared, why is she bringing different bad ideas to my mind, I don't want to think towards those direction because I would end up with a swollen head. "No, it's about his health. Yesterday he came back home after sneaking out of the house very early in the morning, he said he went to his doctor and he got a notice from the doctor that he only has one year and some months to live because of a deadly cancer" I replied

"Oh my God, that means Andrew's dream is real", she replied and my heart skipped for a second. I sure hope that Andrew doesn't hear that word that came out of her mouth, else it would be a big trouble for everyone. "Shhhh, where are you right now. Hope Andrew is not close to you?" I asked with a low voice.

  "Not at all, I'm at work right now. This morning, the young boy came to my room with his body covered in sweat, he looked so terrified to the extent that my fiance needed to calm him down before he could eventually utter a word from his mouth. I couldn't even eat this morning after he finished narrating his dream, this is really serious and now you are confirming it to me that his dream is coming into reality" she replied

I was about to let out a tear when I held myself back, I can't keep crying like a baby all the time I just have to hold myself and face the reality of life, "The dream would actually come to pass but what if I told you that my husband knew of his cancer eight years ago", I replied. Stella screamed out loud with all might, she didn't see that coming at all and I dropped it like a bomb.

  "What!!!, why would your husband tell you about it now that he knows he won't live long?. Why are men this secretive, they tend to keep things to themselves until their dying moment, I thought my fiance was the only one with this kind of trait", she replied. Deep down I felt so weak because talking about it makes me feel hopeless and sad but I can't hide it from my sister. "That's the way I see it, we don't even know how to tell Andrew when he arrives because he called us this morning to narrate his dream and my husband started crying because everything Andrew said will eventually come to pass and there is no way he can run from it. And how do we now tell Andrew that in a matter of months, he would become fatherless?" I asked 

"Don't stress yourself too much my dear sister, I understand your current situation, it's not easy to live with a man whose death is fast approaching. I might even come to with Andrew to see you guys myself. I really need to talk to your husband and give him a piece of my mind", she replied and at that moment, I managed to let out a smile because there was nothing I could do. We spoke for a long time before she finally ended the call and at that very moment, I checked my watch and found out that we spoke for almost two hours.

  And I'm not even halfway close to where I'm going, perhaps I would need to increase my speed because I won't be happy if that cream eventually gets sold out. That's the one cream that I cherish the most and I will do anything to see it in my hands, I arrived at the mall few minutes later and I was shocked by the number of people I saw there, so many women were busy pushing each other just to get inside the mall. How will I even get inside here, especially now that my security guards are not with me 

I quickly ran to one of security officers who work in the mall and I showed them my card, which signifies that I'm a very important person who can't stand in the line. Normally this mall is not always like this but because some new goods were brought to the mall, so many people came out to buy and besides, they also gave a 40% discount on all their products. "Getting you inside would be quite difficult because these women out there would think that you bribed me and that would reduce the mall's rating online", the security guard said after observing my card for a while. 

   "Do you even know who you are talking to, I'm the CEO of M and G collections and your so called mall orders a lot of clothes from my expensive collections. without me, this mall won't even have the best clothes to sell" I replied sounding a bit rude but the guy wasn't even bothered and he kept staring at me like someone who saw a ghost. If only I had taken my security guards with me, maybe he would have taken my words seriously. "I would try my best to get you inside ma'am but you have to be nice when asking for help because you don't even know me and I don't know you either. The fact that you are rich and famous all over the net doesn't mean you are better than me" he replied

I felt quite embarrassed to hear those words from his mouth but I had to remain silent because I need to get tht cream badly and if taking a speech from a security guard will help me achieve that goal, then I don't see any reason to get angry. "Alright I'm sorry, but can you take me inside now?" I asked politely with a smile. He didn't reply as he held my hands and took me through the back door which led to the main reception in the mall and out of his kind gesture, I quickly slid some dollars note in his hands but he openly rejected it and placed everything in my bag. Could my day get any worse?

  I gave him those dollar notes to appreciate him and look at the way he rejected it as if I was giving him a gun to eliminate someone. Some people are just so irritating but thank God I'm inside the mall, so I quickly rushed down to the exact spot where the creams are neatly arranged and I was shocked to see only two remaining. That section was completely emptied and I couldn't believe that all this would happen in jut few hours, "Ma'am I would advise you to quickly take those two containers left and make your way to the cashier because someone might grab them right before your very eyes and it might lead to a fight" one of the staff called out to me quietly 

I quickly grabbed one of the containers out of the two left there, "Thanks but if a someone eventually grab hold of the cream before me, I will just have to let the person go and I will assume that I lost", i replied and made my way to the other section to get some other snacks ranging from biscuits and chocolates before I finally went down to meet the cashier for my bill. He calculated everything that I bought and it all amounts to a whooping sum of $33k including some of the expensive snacks that I bought, I quickly paid for everything and the cashier placed them in a nylon bag with their name boldly printed on it and I made my way to the parking lot to get my car and zoom out of here
