Perfect Together

    Now the people who queued up behind Tasha have been attended to and Mrs Shylin sat down on one of the tables with Tasha.

  She beckoned on her grandson to come over to where she sat with Tasha,

   "Felix, you remembered the girl I once told you about?"

"I do grandma"

  "Here she is, her name is Tasha"

Felix's eyes lit up in a smile. Of course he can't forget the tomboy his grandma always talked about. He took in Tasha's appearance and smiled satisfactorily in his mind. She was in a loose nylon Pant and a baggy top. He liked her style already.

  Tasha watched the guy called Felix at the corners of her eyes as he drools over her.

  She hissed and felt irritated, she couldn't just stand up and walked away rudely from Mrs Shylin. That's why she is still rooted to her chair.

  "Nice to finally meet you Tasha, my grandma has said a lot about you. You are finer in person and I like your dress sense."

   Felix said and stretched forth his hand to Tasha in a handshake. Tasha stared out the outstretched hand in front of her hesitantly. She was feeling so reluctant to shake his hands back.

  Mrs Shylin concluded that Tasha's attitude might be due to shyness. She has seen a lot of young girls being shy towards the other gender. Only if she knows that it is way more than that.

  After much hesitation, Tasha shook his hand as first as she could.

  "Nice to meet you, Felix"

She said and pulled her hands as if Felix's hand was a hot coal.

   "I am sure Mrs Shylin told you that I am not a good girl"

Mrs Shylin gave a hearty laugh,

"You are funny my dear"

She stood up and patted Tasha's back,

  "I will be behind the counter. Let me leave you both to get along with each other"

Tasha growled and shuddered back in her seat,

  If only she had gone home straight, she would be in this awkward situation. She has as much as possible avoided any meetings with guys. She can't even stand their presence talking more about being in the same space with them for too long.

  She had asked herself how she managed to play the T&D game with the boys for that long.

  Felix pulled a chair and sit down,

"You seem not to be comfortable here. I can take your somewhere else to relax your nerves"

 "The only favor you can do for me right now is to get lost, idiot"

She said in her mind wishing that it could come through.

   "I am fine here"

"Oh okay"

Felix opened two of his shirt' buttons and stared lazily at Tasha.

  "My grandma has always wanted me to meet you. It wasn't just you but the other girl, Jenny by the name but I can tell you that she specially likes you which I am trying to know why"

He pulled his right hand on the table and palmed his face,

   "Seeing you look so uncomfortable and not even a smile on your face, it saddened me to know I did not catch your attention but it's fine, I will pass"

He said dramatically, faking heartbroken,

   Tasha rolled her eyes,

"He is not only handsome, he is dramatic too"

She thought and widened her eyes. She clearly admitted to herself that he is handsome which is not a good sign to her.

  It takes a long period of time for her to admit that a dude is handsome.

    "Pardon my manners. I am actually not feeling well so don't take anything I do to heart"

   Tasha said and unboxed her ice cream cup and started licking it, ignoring Felix totally.

  Mrs Shylin watched the two people across the table and smiled to herself.

   "Felix seems to like her. I don't mind if they become friends or even more. Both look perfect together"

  "Here my child"

She handed the ice cream cup to the little girl who came to buy it from her.

  The little girl took it and ran off to meet her parents after thanking Mrs Shylin.

   Felix thought it's odd for the girl sitting across to him licking the ice cream like she is the only one in the room, not to invite him to share her ice cream as the courtesy demands.

  The way she runs the spoon on her lips fascinate him and he concluded that since she did not invite him, watching her would be a solidity to him.
