The Deal

Jenny's point of view...

The moment I opened my eyes, my heart sank. I was back in the room and this time around tied. How stupid I was to think I was going to escape just like that. It was too good to be true.

Seeing those bodyguard surrounding me, I had thought I would not wake up ever again.

  "Escaping,ha!"

I laughed in my mind as I tried sitting up, the next second, the door flinged up and Mr Rude guy, the guy of yesterday, came in looking so angry.

Instead of shuddering, I stared at him squarely in the eyes.

"Do you know what you little stunt has caused me?"

He barked, charging at me. I could feel the ropes rubbing against my skin. They dug deeper when he gripped my upper arm and dragged me up with his free hand. He pushed my arms to either side of my head to keep me from moving.

With one foot on top of mine he looked down at me. "You almost made me lose my job"

He thundered and graced my cheeks with a slap.   The impact of the slap stung like hell, for a moment I was seeing stars. I felt light headed and I stopped making out what he was saying because everything was just burry, his voice and movements. All I saw was white spots dancing before my eyes, it didn't help that I was also trying to hold back the tears.

I felt myself being pulled along by the rope until I came in contact with something. I couldn't see anything since my sight was blurry and I struggled against my bonds as if I could somehow break them. As soon as the I was let go, I fell hard, landing on the ground. I cried out from the pain as I scrambled away as fast as I could. When I turned to look at what I hit, all I could do was stare in shock.

A man lay dead on the floor behind me, there was blood coming from his mouth and nose. His skin was grey and his eyes were wide open staring at nothing. Blood stained his entire shirt and pants, even though I was sure no blood was still pumping through his heart.

I was even more shocked when I realized that it was the guard I hit earlier.

"I did not kill him, only made him unconscious"

I tried telling myself. I had to believe that because that's what happened.

I shivered and tried scrambling away. The scene was gruesome and horrifying

Just then a loud crash sounded. I was thrown across the room into a wall.

My head slammed against the wooden surface and stars filled my vision again. I heard shouting but couldn't figure out what they were saying. Everything sounded muffled, the walls seemed to have grown taller.

I heard some commotion but didn't get a clear enough view to identify what was happening.

I tried opening my eyes, which were glued shut. A few seconds later, I managed to make out two figures standing over me. One was tall and muscular and the other person, Mr Rude guy.

The new guy bent over me and began untying me. After letting me free, he picked me up and headed out of the room.

Thinking he was my saviour, he still brought me back to my room earlier and laid me on the bed.

He strengthened himself and slowly turned his back on me, next I heard a sound of thunderous slap.

I had thought it sounded on my cheek, not until I looked up and saw the new guy beating the hell out of Mr Rude guy, I wanted to feel pity for him but when I remembered when he did to me, it was only understandable that he deserves more than that.

"I had told you, do not lay a finger on her. I warned you yet you had the guts to slap her and drag her"

The barking voice was not mistaken the voice of the new guy.

The more he talked, the more he threw punches at the other guy.

My heart was pounding and I could hear him say 'please don't hurt me' over and over again. I felt like the most useless person in the world.

Mr Rude guy had his hands raised and begged the new guy to stop punching him.

I wanted to scream, but my throat had been bruised from a grip earlier and nothing escaped past it.

I think the guy stopped when he got tired of throwing punches.

"Go get the body right now"

He screamed and Mr Rude guy ran out of the room. Upon all his hugeness, he was beaten to a pulp.

"That serves him right, but wait? did he say a body?"

I could not help asking myself as I brought my face up to look up at the guy. He was facing me now and he had this deadly look on his face

"Were you thinking of leaving without signing the deal?"
