Claire's Guardian Angel

Mercy has been more than a mother to Claire but you see blood, it can never stop seeking for it's own. Each time Claire visits White Hills, she always felt she doesn't belong there and Owen never wanted to take her to Mrs Thompson because he is afraid Claire will find out that Mercy is truly not her mother and which might be ugly for Mercy, that's the least of things he wants.

"Your grandma insist you visit her this weekend"

Mercy said after a while.

"Really mom? How will I tell you that I hate going to grandma's place? It doesn't seem right for me to be there."

Mercy sighed,"It's for just two days. The driver will go with you and bring you back the moment you say you are ready to go."

Claire made to protest but stopped" alright, two days and that's it."

"That's my darling"

Mercy said, kissing Claire's cheeks.

"I will send Mandy to come get you ready for school"

Mercy said and left almost immediately.

The moment the door closed, Claire turned on the bed and there stood Susan at the edge of the bed, smiling at her.

  "Morning Angel, You look upset?"

"I know right. I don't know when mom will realize that I am old now."

Susan chuckled,"She loves you so much. Don't you forget that"

"Yet I don't feel connected to her"

Claire said sadly. Since she took her first step, Susan has been right there whenever she needs her. Claire with her little mind had believed that Susan is her guardian angel. It never occurred to Claire that there is more to the lady that always appears to her every now and then.

And funny thing is Claire never told anyone about Susan because she believes no one will believe her and call her insane.

"Stop fighting it. You have not really given her a chance. Your mom is a wonderful woman and every girl out there will love to have her as a mother. Do you know we have kids who don't know who their mothers are because their mothers died before they could understand their right hands from their left hands."

Claire sighed," I am sorry I am complaining too much but sometimes I wish that you are my mom. There is this thing I never seem to understand whenever you are in my room. It's like we are more than I can imagine."

Susan chuckled," Your imagination is so wide. I think it's time to get ready for school. Should I help you today?"

"Of course" Claire Jumped up excitedly and the next thing, a click was heard, Susan locked Claire's door for no one to get access to the room while she helps Claire prepare for school.

She doesn't want a situation whereby some maid will barge in on Claire and get frightened because Claire is talking to herself.

Claire hurriedly got down from the bed and raced towards the bathroom while Susan went after her, both were giggling when they got to the bathroom.

Over the years, Susan had roamed around the earth. She can't understand why she can't get past the portal of life and death, more like she has been hanging in between both worlds.

The last time she appeared to Owen, she had thought it was her time to leave earth finally but the next minute, she found herself back to White Wings where she was killed. She had figured out that her spirit was seeking revenge and after killing Dr Frank, she still could not go and uptill now, she is finding what is keeping her and as she keeps seeking, she decided to live in her daughter's room. She had done that for a long time now and how long she would still stay is what she knows nothing about.

Several times, she has been tempted to tell Claire who she is but on second thoughts, she wasn't going to gain anything from it. It's not that telling Claire will bring her back to life.

It's best if Claire doesn't know than for her to know that Mercy is not her mom, it will break the poor girl's heart which she doesn't want.
