Wait And See

Jenny's point of view....

   The black limo that I was in came to an abrupt stop. The ride has been for 20 minutes and if we are here then I will be displeased because I wanted the journey to go further. I wasn't ready to face Harrison.

  I could not see where I was being taken to because the Limo was tinted so thick that darkness is less thicker than it, plus it's night already.

  "Ma'am, we are here"

The driver' voice startled me. I took in some breaths and I looked up at his face with a smile.

  "Thank you"

I mumbled then stepped down. I was frightened when I got down because the place was in pitch darkness. No light to see where to step my feet on.

 "Easy ma'am. Let me help you"

   The driver was by my side before I knew it. He took my hands and I followed his lead without questions. I mean, I can't possibly ask him questions or show discomfort because he will not be able to do anything for me. He is as helpless as I am. I had expected that rude guy that came earlier but I saw another instead.

He led us around the place where we were walking until we reached some kind of room.

My mind was blank. I just follow along. What would I expect when I see Harrison? Would he hurt me or something? 

 But what if...

   A hand gripped mine tightly. It felt like ice cold water running through my veins but it made me relaxed. My heart started racing when I smelt the cologne, it was Harrison.

  Before I could say a word, He yanked me against something hard, it was a wall.

  "You decided to come huh?"

I could not tell if he was happy I came or he was expecting otherwise.

  "What's with you, this man? Let me go!"

I yelled and he let go of me.

  "You are unbelievable"

I uttered.

"Please put some light let me see the face of the devil"

Harrison laughed. That laughter was something I had never heard in my entire life.

"Oh dear! How about no? Now com'on"

He started dragging me. I stumbled as I tried to meet up with his pace. The darkness was not helping matters for me.

  After walking for a while he stopped and the light came on. I was blinded for a moment. I blinked my eyes severally trying to adjust to the light. 

  The moment my eyes adjusted, my mouth dropped at what I was seeing. The romantic setting is something I could not make out for. Why would he got to such lengths to set up a romantic dinner for both of us? What is he trying to prove? That by doing this,I would fall for him? That it would make everything perfect?

He turned me towards him and I gasped when I saw how intently he was looking at me. This couldn't be happening. How dare he?

"It is beautiful, isn't it?"

Harrison said. His gaze was fixed somewhere outside the window.

"Yeah. Very beautiful indeed"

I replied and looked from one edge of the room to another. My eyes trailed from the big bed that was covered in a white and red bedsheet, which had a wine and two wine glasses with rose petals forming 'I LOVE YOU, JENNIFER THOMPSON'. In the middle of the floor, a small round table with roses all over the place stood. The colored light illuminating the whole place gave it another spice of romanticism.

This can't be real. There is no way I was here for a romantic setting of dinner... Is this real. He brought me here to kill me, I'm sure.

    And as for the roses, he knew exactly where to get them. They were red roses. Not ones with any meaning but the type that means love. The roses meant passion and true love. And he knew the most important thing when it comes to romance...

    My mind started going crazy. I had to keep reminding myself this was not real. I shook my head severally to stop myself from thinking too much about the whole thing. 

  I had one question in mind and that was, Why a room? Why would he bring me to a room to have dinner, not just a room but a heavily decorated one with a love theme. Does he have another thing in mind after dinner?

  The room can't be in a hotel, it's probably one of the rooms in his penthouse. 

  In all of this, I saw only wine and roses, no delicacy around. Am I here to get drunk or what? Harrison must take me for a fool to plan something like this.

  I don't know what he planned to gain by doing this, I will just have to wait and see.
