Plans For A Baby

Owen found his voice and took her face in his hands,

"You don't have to do anything, you are doing enough already. Claire doesn't hate you, she just doesn't know how to show you she loves you."

Owen tried convincing her but she isn't a fool to believe that. It's crystal clear Claire hates her so much.

"Do you see the amount of love she has for her uncle or you? I am not asking for that much, just a little love and that's all. It's not too much for a mother to ask her daughter to love her"

Owen sighed and kissed the top of her head as he pulled her closer to his chest.

"It's not too much to ask. I understand you, alright but I don't want you to get yourself worked up because of this"

She sighed and rested her head on his chest while Owen ran his fingers through her hair, caressing her soft hair. The gesture gave her a feeling of belonging and she snuggled closer to Owen.

"I have you all the to myself and that should be enough but you know, I am selfish. I want your love and that of my daughter. I guess I will have to live with not ever going to get Claire to love me. It's fine, not her fault anyway"

Owen said nothing but continued to caress her hair.

Few seconds passed and nothing was said but suddenly Owen spoke up,"perhaps, we should have a baby?"

He suggested and Mercy's eyes lit up,"really?"she asked surprised.

"Yes, really. After all it was be your idea for us not to have another kid because you want to dedicate your life to raising Claire. she is old now and having another baby will not be a bad idea"

Owen stated smiling, Mercy smiled too but the next second her smile fell,"Are you sure Claire will buy the idea of having a sibling?"

  Mercy was worried.

"Claire is unbelievable, she might get a wing that another baby is coming and she would hate me forever"

Owen poked her nose,"Stop assuming. Another baby is a good idea. With another baby, you won't have to worry about her loving you and it might even bring you both closer. You might not know until you try"

Mercy thought for a moment and then she nodded her head enthusiastically. She was so eager to make it happen she couldn't wait. She can see how happy Owen was with the idea and she could never say no to him.

"I think you are right. I can't really wait for that to happen"

Owen smiled and leaned down for a kiss. He pulled away from her lips and looked at her face. There were tears in the corner of her eyes and she had a big smile plastered across her face. Her cheeks were slightly stained red and he could see she wasn't able to hold back her feelings."I bet we should start now, huh"

He teased, looking at her in the most adorable way. Mercy's cheek turned red again and she felt like hiding her face.

"Shut up!"she mumbled shyly. He chuckled and kissed her on the nose.

  "Are you shy now?"

He smirked again.

  "No, I am not"

She responded, hiding her face on his chest.

"Let's see how it goes tonight. It's going to be a long night and I am sure you are ready, by the time we are done tonight, a baby will start growing"

Owen laughed quietly at the nonstop blush on his wife's face.

"Okay, I have heard you. You can stop talking now"

"Sure my dear. It's time for action"

He stated with a grin and went to grab her but she fled, he did not see that coming. He started laughing so hard that Mercy was afraid his heart would fall out of his heart.

She moved closer to him in order to stop him from laughing and it turned out to be a mistake. Owen grabbed her immediately and both fell on the bed.

 Jenny's point of view…

I parked the car and Michael got down leaving behind his backpack. Mitchell glanced at me and I shrugged off my shoulders.

"I don't have answers to his behavior"

I mumbled and Mitchell sighed before getting down too. She managed to pack everything we got back with. I picked her backpack and that of Micheal and locked the car before walking towards the house.

I stopped in my tracks when I felt a presence. I turned and saw a black car parked in the distance. Cold chills run down my spine. I shook my head trying to shake off the unsettling Feelings but it lingered, it could not be ignored. I knew something was up but I wasn't ready to accept it.
