Being Selfish

Ava saw his silence as a confirmation to her fears. She might be right after all.

"Sure, she could let him be but because he is with me, she would try and come after him to spite me for old time seek, not after she is fully aware that Felix has got something for her"

She thought deeply as she pulled away from him.

"It's fine, Felix. Whatever that would happen from now on would not be your fault, I trust you and I know that you would not do anything irrationally, knowing that you will hurt me in the process

She chuckled humorlessly. Ava knows she is not a weak woman and her weakness should not start now.

She sighed and walked back to the bed while Felix headed to the window like he had wanted before she stopped him. He was lost in thought and so was she too.

The city of Little London was alive and the residents were up to start the new day. Felix could see the buzz from where he stood beside the window. He could not only the sea but beyond the sea. He felt at peace with himself like he had done earlier.

"I might become irrationally from now onwards,Ava. Pardon me but until I know that Tasha doesn't love me that's when I will let her go"

He said quietly, taking a deep breath in the process. Suddenly, he got the zeal to do what he has always wanted and that's being selfish. It has to be just about him now. Though he can remember his promises to Ava, yet what he is feeling now is beyond his comprehension. It's not bad if he seek for his happiness for once and from what he knows, it lies with Tasha.

Besides, if his grandma gets to hear that he found Tasha and did not make an effort to reunite with her, she would be so mad at him. The oldest of The Shylins seems to have something for Tasha Martins.

Tasha had her hand filled as she walked out of her room, her handbag, keys, water bottle and her slippers. She was struggling to keep her pace steady. The heels she wore were not helping at all. She stopped to see if she closed her door and she did.

This is the first time she is stepping out of her room today and instead of the air to fill her lungs and give her peace, uneasiness lingered in the air. She was still shocked and a little bit upset over what had happened between Tracy and her and to worsen the case, the architecture of it is her former secretary and flings, now her brother's girlfriend.

She was trying to stay sane as the pain she endured during these past few hours had finally reached its peak.

Her eyes scanned the hallway to see if anyone was around. Seeing none, she continued walking with a small smile on her lips.

She had thought to go say bye to Tracy but decided against it on a second thought. Catherine would be with him and she doesn't want to see her face. It's her house yet she can't misbehave because of Tracy. Relationships are hard to build so Tasha promised herself that she would do anything to maintain the relationship she has built with her brother. It necessarily doesn't mean that as things are now, she would not keep her boundary. She will have to endure whatever that would be coming to her until Tracy leaves and that means Catherine leaving as well.

As Tasha struggled to opened her exit door, her car keys dropped to the floor. She bent to pick it and came in contact with Catherine. She was bending and smirking at the smile time.

"Are you leaving without bidding us goodbye"

She whispered and raised up, leaving Tasha to pick her keys.

Tasha stood up and faced Catherine. She was wearing her shirt. There is no doubt that Tracy had permitted her to wear it. Tasha has no issues with it anyway.

"I see you are enjoying this, right?"

Tasha mocked as Catherine grinned.

"Why not? It's been fun since yesterday. Your brother have full faith in me and thinks you are the bad egg here, not knowing that we both are''

She said with an evil grin, Tasha rolled her eyes and heaved a sigh. She was tired of the traitor and leaving here will give her the sanity she needs now.

"Whatever, I don't care. He can have full faith in you. He has been doing that to me for years, it's nice if he lend someone small faith, especially that person he loves"

Catherine laughed hearing her words. She then turned serious, looking at Tasha intently.

"You my darling deserve an award for this nonchalant attitude you are exhibiting. I would not believe that you are not pained by the turn of events. You wish it is in your dreams."

Tasha shook her head and turned to leave. She can't stay here and listen to to the crabs Catherine is saying even when Catherine is not done talking.
