The Only Peace

Lora stood outside the Zidat Residence glaring at her things scattered around. She was furious at everyone who had participated in throwing her out of the mansion. Mostly, the person she is furious at is Zain. As much as she knows she is really out of his life, she still doesn't believe it.

"I can't go like this, not after spending 13 years years of my life with him. I am not a trash that can be discarded anytime"

Lora yelled to herself frustrated by the situation she was in.

"I am this miserable because of you, Zain. It's all your fault"

She screamed angrily.

She couldn't even believe how she got thrown out of the house like a piece of garbage. Her thirteen years of luxury life came to an abrupt end. She blamed herself for not making good use of the opportunity. If she had a child for Zain, he would not have dared throw her out like he just did. She was waiting for him to see her as the only woman in his life, his all and all. The signs were written boldly before her very own eyes that Zain would never love her or have anything to do with her yet she was hoping.

Those days when they make love, Zain always insists they use protection and in a case where protection was not used, he would insist for her to use morning pills. She saw it as him not being ready to father a child with her because of his unstable emotional state as of that time. Yet as the years go by, it did occur to her that Zain wants nothing from her other than f**king her.

"I will make you pay for this even if it's the last thing I do"

She mumbled finally and started packing her things. After arranging them at a corner, she waved down a cab.

Without mentioning the location she is heading, she went into the cab while the cab driver helped all her luggages into the booth. After that, he drove off.

ROCY HOTEL AND SUITE.

Ava tried pushing her hand inside Felix pajama shirt. She was giddy at the moment and all she wanted right now was to make love with Felix. She was in desperate need of his touch.

Both have been sleeping late into the morning after their fight last night and guess what, it was all about Tasha. Ava was furious that after getting home yesterday, he left to see Tasha. Felix never denied going to see Tasha for the second time but he was angry that she had to monitor him. Their engagement is in a week time, he was not thinking of doing something contrary to it yet Ava would not stop accusing him.

Felix groaned in annoyance as he pulled Ava's hand away from his skin. If not for his father, he would not have got anything to do with Ava. She was the only available option since he can't find someone to settle down with immediately. Left for him, he would have waited for Tasha his whole life.

Now that he found her, he was angry at her for leaving town for the glimpse of excuses she gave. She was selfish and no matter how strong his feelings are for Tasha Martins, he feels she would never want him because at some point, she would choose a girl over him. Like she has been doing for years.

  "Stop already, I am tired.

He growled in annoyance. He closed his eyes and let his body relax.

Ava ignored him and started kissing him. Felix flicked his eyes open immediately and pushed her away from him.

"Why don't you understand that I am tired"

He snapped angrily.

"why not, because of the b**ch?"

She retorted, carrying her arms over her chest. Her hair was disheveled and expression was so cold. The duvet was heaped by her side, revealing some flesh of hers. The duvet was supposed to cover them both but due to her reckless sleeping position, it heaped by her side.

Felix could look anywhere but her. He was angry already and to control his anger,he had to avoid looking at her.

His eyes roamed round the hotel room, the room has been hosting them for two days now and will host them until they leave in a few days time.

"Answer alright, you can't keep mute when I ask you a question"

Ava's voice sounded at the back of his mind, his mind was fully occupied with the beautiful portrait on the wall opposite the bed. He moved from the portrait to the window, the room being close to the sea. The view was perfect, the opened blind made it easy for him to admire the beautiful sight in front of his eyes. It was the only thing giving him peace at the moment.
