Guiyi Academy

The youngsters raced down the village with excitement.

People around stared at the three of them as they displayed some funny acts.

The air in Nirong Village was quite fresh, not far from the ordinary.

The people went about daily their activities with much dutifulness. Gui Shan sensed a strong natural force in the village.

The village was quite developed in terms of amenities and infrastructure. The settlement seems organised and well mapped out.

"I'm so happy we've made it this far", Ru Yuo said with satisfaction.

They continued on their way and decided to stop at a shop to ask for directions.

"Good day sir, could you pls show us the way down to Guiyi academy", Ru Yuo asked an old man in the shop.

"I only know that it's way down the alley, deep down the village", the old man said.

Gui Shan wasn't still satisfied with the old man's directions, but decided to go down till he finds someone to give a better description.

Two minutes later, they saw a lad like themselves being chased by two other youngsters who appeared more mature.

Without thinking thoroughly Gui Shan thought the lad was being chased because he did something criminal.

So to help, he decided to slip in his legs as the lad was about to run past, unfortunately for the lad he stumbled at Gui Shan's foot and fell to the ground.

"Thanks for your help", replied the male pursuer.

"You seem to be a stranger, are you new?", he further asked Gui Shan who had his hands across his head.

"Yes! me and my friends here are trying to find our way down to the Guiyi academy for the upcoming entrance examination", Gui Shan said.

The two pursuers looked at each other with a sign of agreement and introduced themselves.

"I'm senior Chen Feng from the purple cloud wing", the male pursuer said.

"I'm Chu Cao from the purple cloud wing", the second said.

"Our Junior here violated the rules and went to a tavern in which he tried to escape when we spotted him",

"Thanks to your help, we were able to catch him so as to give him proper discipline", Chen Feng said as he pointed to the lad to the floor.

The three youngsters were bewildered as they didn't expect to run across anyone from the Guiyi academy.

"It's my pleasure", Gui Shan replied.

The three of them introduced themselves and stated their purpose of entering in for the entrance examination.

"Just pray you're lucky to join our sect", Chu Feng said.

The two students from the purple cloud wing led the way down to Guiyi academy.

All through their walk down to the academy, none of them attempted to speak. They all kept silent till they got to Guiyi academy.

Finally they arrived there, the number one academy in the whole of Wushu kingdom. It is always the dream of every youngster to become a student at Guiyi academy considering it as the best.

The youngsters were full of expectations coupled with excitement. To the three of them, it was dream fulfilling.

They arrived at Guiyi academy, a place where promising talents are being cultivated. Guiyi academy was a totally different world.

In Guiyi academy, you find different classes of individuals, so many promising talents. It was far from their imagination.

Only the strong and powerful survives in Guiyi academy. Unknowing to them, they have entered a different ball game entirely.

That was the beginning of their journey in the world of power and influence.

Walking into the academy, they all looked around the with excitement and fulfillment.

"Finally I've arrived at the school of my dreams", Ru Yuo said in a happy tone.

"I'm so happy we finally made it here after all the tiring journey", Tang Tang said tapping Gui Shan on the shoulder.

"So this is Gui Shan academy, hope you like the scene", Chen asked the three of them.

"We love it", they chorused together.

As they continued viewing the scenery, Chen Feng called on a junior and requested that they are taken to the dorm rooms.

The Junior took them in one direction and quickly pointed out the female dorm to Ru Yuo, while leading Gui Shan and Tang Tang to the male dorm.

"I'm Zu Wei", the guy said.

"I'm Gui Shan and this is my friend Tang Tang", he said in response.

The guy told them some view things they had to know about the examination wish was to kick of the next day.

Finally, they got to the male dorm.

"We've got newbies in the house", Zu Wei announced.

Only a few if them responded and welcomed them. Gui Shan and Tang Tang were both shown their bed space which was closely opposite to each other.

"Don't get upset by how they treated you guys",

"In this academy, we have people of different status, background and many talented youngsters",

"So therefore discrimination is inevitable", Zu Wei said.

"I advice that you guys stay away from trouble and mind your business",

"Again, get ready for your entrance examination which requires you to be smart and swift, skillful in kungfu and greatly talented",

"Have a nice day", Zu Wei said as he sped off.

Gui Shan and Tang Tang dropped their belongings and stuff and started arranging their goods.

At that moment, Gui Shan had many thoughts flowing into his mind, he considered what Zu Wei told them hoped for the best.

To their surprise as they were both arranging their stuffs, two guys came to them and told them that their attention was needed.

Surprisingly enough, they were taken to a young lad, who happens to be about their age. The two guys then pointed out that the young lad requested their attention.

"I'm Hu Mei, nephew to the empress of Wushu kingdom and I demand you guys greet me in the proper way",

"You can't walk past a royal like me without some sign of respect", Hu Mei said.

"I make the decisions here, although it seems that we are going to take the entrance examination together",

"I doubt if you guys will qualify", he laughed scornfully.

Gui Shan was in a rage and boiling from the inside, but he decided to act calm when he remembered the advice he has gotten so far to stay away from trouble.

Hu Mei continued to pour harsh words on them and warned them not to step on his toes during the entrance examination or else they will feel his wrath.

When Hu Mei was satisfied in humiliating them, he told them to go back and continue whatever they were doing.

Tang Tang felt embarrassed by the way they were addressed by Hu Mei who seem to be their age.

"I've never felt this humiliated in my life before", Tang Tang said.

"I know, but don't act rashly, endure for the time being", Gui Shan said.

Soon after that, the prince left the dorm alongside his attendants. He also had some fellow competitors who followed him about wanting to be his friend.

As soon as Hu Mei left, the dorm became lively again. Gui Shan and Tang Tang were both surprised by the sudden change in atmosphere.

Some other dorm mate and others who came also for the entrance examination then came to them to welcome their arrival.

So many advised the both of them to Ignore Hu Mei's behavior and concentrate on how to qualify for the main examination.

"Do you mind if I show you around", a guy named Wan Fei said.

"Besides, I'm Wan Fei from Zulum province, I also came in for the entrance examination", he said stretching a hand for a shake.

"Nice meeting you, I'm Gui Shan and this is my friend Tang Tang", Gui Shan said.

"We would be glad if you'll show us around", Tang Tang said.

Wen Fei took them around the academy, showed them the, the assembly spot, training ground, the alchemy hall and some interesting places.

Gui Shan was soon adjusting to the academy's environment. Tang Tang on the other side was enjoying the view.

Meanwhile, at the girl's dormitory, Ru Yuo didn't encounter anything complicated like the other two, she was welcomed with open arms and was able to relate with her fellow counterparts.

Things seem to be going on fine with her, until she decided to go out and look for her two friends.

Since she hadn't seen them for some time, she wanted to check on them know if they were doing alright.

Hu Mei on the other hand, was coming from the male's dorm and heading to the training ground.

Coincidentally, Hu Mei sighted her from a distance, and got infatuated by her beauty and charming look.

Unluckily for him, Hu Mei wasn't the kind of guy that Ru Yuo would fancy. Hu Mei out of his folly thought that Ru Yuo would fancy him at first sight.

So he decided to go to her with...
