Training Begins

"Tang Tang... Ugh... I'm sorry you weren't chosen, but you'll get the chance to join the royal night," she said.

"So after considering some criteria, I chose Qin Feiye and Bi Yao to represent the wing," master Lin Fei said.

Immediately she announced this, the students cheered and rejoiced with both students.

"You're so lucky Bi Yao," Tang Tang said.

"Besides, you'll be returning back home since you live in the royal capital," Tang Tang said.

"Yes I really missed home," Bi Yao said.

"Ahem! Most importantly, starting from tomorrow, you'll be joining the others that would be chosen from the other wings in training," she said.

"All six of you would train under the three wing masters as well as principal Ming, so get your mind set on the task ahead," master Lin Fei said.

"If possible, you have to learn the skill of all four masters in order to be outstanding in the competition and get enlisted into the elite team," master Lin Fei said.

After that, she let them continue in their training as she left.

...

*Purple Cloud Wing*

In the purple Cloud Wing, same was happening as master Yang Jun chose his wing representatives that same morning.

"Good morning students," master Yang Jun greeted as he walked in.

"Good morning master," they all replied.

"I know you all would be anxiously awaiting my choice of who would represent our wing,"

"Not to worry, those of you that wouldn't be chosen still have a chance to join the royal knights," master Yang Jun said.

"So to this effect, Chen Feng and Hu Mei have been chosen for this mission," master Yang Jun said.

"These two have been chosen based on their qualifications. For Chen Feng, we are aware that he is the strongest in this wing and possess good wits."

"For Hu Mei, aside from the fact that he's strong, he's the nephew of the empress, so he'll definitely make it into the elite team and make us proud," master Yang Jun said.

"Adding to that, you'll begin training from tomorrow, you'll be joining the others that would be chosen from the other wings to train," he said.

"Together, all of you would undergo marathon training under the three wing masters as well as principal Ming, so get your mind set on the task ahead," master Yang Jun said.

"So as my students, I want you two to be smart and learn the skill of all four masters in order to be outstanding in the competition and get enlisted into the elite team," master Huang Ju said.

After addressing them that morning, he retired back to his chamber to meditate.

...the wind of fate is already in motion, let's see how fate plays out...

 *         *        *

It was another day, as preparations are gearing towards the upcoming martial arts competition for the selection of the elite team.

Meanwhile, a letter has been sent to every martial arts academy in the whole of Wushu kingdom to provide their best students to represent in the the upcoming martial arts competition.

So in all the academies, the selected individuals are undergoing rigorous training to strengthen their skills. Guiyi academy is not left out, as planned by the masters, the selected candidates are to begin training that morning at the ancestral temple.

That very morning, Gui Shan was up and already anticipating the training activity. While the others in the wing were going about their normal activities, Gui Shan and Tan Ning were in haste to meet up with the training.

Same goes for the other selected candidates, they all made preparations and went to the training ground at the ancestral temple.

That morning, all the selected candidates had already reported and were present at the training venue. They exchanged pleasantries as they awaited for the masters to show up.

After waiting for a while, they were getting weary already. Just when they least expected, master Lin Fei walked in.

"Good morning master," the candidate greeted.

"Good morning to you all," she said.

"I believe each one of you standing here have met some criteria, hence you were selected as a candidate," master Lin Fei said.

"So I urge to you to be at your best in this training and grab what you can for the next two months."

"Each of the masters would be teaching you at every two weeks interval. And I'll be your teacher for the first two weeks," she said.

"So I urge you to possibly learn what you can from me while you have the chance."

"I must let you know that this martial arts competition is far different from the ones you have done in the past, the level of competition would be at its peak,"

"Most of your opponents would be fully trained and highly skilled as other academies would be sending their there," she said.

At this point, all the students were all ears.

"Wow! I can't wait to kick some butts at the capital," Hu Mei said.

"Hmmm...where do we start from?" She said.

"For two months, I'll be teaching you on how to immobilize your opponents during combats,"

"And for one to achieve that, one must have knowledge of all the acupoints in the body," she said.

"Are we ready for the training?" She asked.

"Yes master," they resounded.

"Then I want you to listen to me carefully," master Lin Fei said as she stirred up some level of curiousness in them.

"In every human, there are certain points in the body that assist in flow of energy and Qi, which when blocked can immobilize a person or make you loose all your cultivation," she said.

"Oohhhh...," the students exclaimed.

"I'll just give you an example. Hu Mei please come forward," master Lin Fei said.

Immediately Hu Mei stepped forward, before he could utter a word, master Lin Fei blocked some of his acupoints in less than a minute.

To the amazement of all the students, Hu Mei stood still as a statue and could move his lips but not talk.

"Impressive!!!," they all shouted.

"Who can explain what I just did," master Lin Fei asked.

Just then, Chen Feng raised up his hands to speak.

"You blocked some of his acupoints that are responsible for coordinating movement," Chen Feng said.

"Great! I'm glad you were able to grasp it in an instant," she said.

"All I had to do was target his acupoints connected with movement and seal them. If I unblock them now, he'll definitely regain his movement ability," she said.

Immediately, in a blink of an eye she released the acupoint and Hu Mei was able to move. After it was undone, Hu Mei quickly staggered back.

"Master, that was hell for some moment, I see everything going on, but I'm unable to move or do anything," Hu Mei said.

"That's just one of them, by the end of the two weeks of training with with me, you should be able to use the acupoint technique," master Lin Fei said.

After that, she decided to give another illustration, so she asked Bi Yao to step forward. Immediately Bi Yao stepped forward, just as the first time, she hit some of her acupoint in the blink of an eye.

Just as the first, Bi Yao and the rest students thought she would be numb and unable to move, but to their surprise she was able to move.

Still curious, they wondered what acupoint master Lin Fei actually blocked.

"Ahem! I just blocked your 'Yang meridian', which connects to the flow of Qi and vital energy,"

"You can give it a try, come at me and see if you'll feel any ounce of Qi energy in you," master Lin Fei said.

In order to give it a try, Bi Yao came at master Lin Fei, but to her surprise, the first punch she threw was as empty as an ordinary person.

"Oohhhh...," the students shouted in amazement.

"Master your skills are so impressive, can't wait to learn from you," Tan Ning said.

"Learning the acupoint technique needs no rush, we should start from the basics by knowing the major acupoints in man," she said.

Before that, she unblocked Bi Yao's meridian. Immediately she did that, Bi Yao could feel her vital energy flowing through her once again. She gave it a try by punching the air and git convinced she had regained her Qi.

"I want you all to pay good attention as I teach you," she said as she began.

"We have more than 2000 acupoints located in the human body. Of these, only three are important in martial arts,"

"We have the 'Ying meridian' which is associated with movement, 'Yang meridian' which is associated with flow of vital energy and the most importantly, the 'YinTang meridian'. It's also called the 'hall of impression', it's concerned with cultivation," master Lin Fei said.

The students were amazed because they never heard such words before.

"So our training today would focus only on getting you acquainted with the different acupoints, then beginning tomorrow, we'll go to the practical aspect," she said.
