"Daniella," Vin called her after he had seen her get lost in her deep thoughts. "I know you looked up to him, I know you wanted him to be a father......"
"Stop! Stop it... " Daniella cut Vin off breathing heavily. "He is better off dead in my life Vin, maybe he would have raped me next or worse killed me!" Sobbed Daniella.
"Hey, it's okay baby, am here, your mother is here we want to protect you and the best from you!' Vin calmed her while hugging her tight to his chest.
Danella sniffed his masculine scent and she felt at ease. She wondered why her dad was always so calm, he never cared about her even a minute. He wanted a man who never wanted her, he loved a man who never loved her back.
She wanted to hold her tears back but they freely streamed down her eyes without her control over them.
"Do you have some practice today?" Asked Vin as he caressed her hair.
"No, I just want to go home now that classes are over." Murmured Daniella wiping her running nose with the back of her hand.
"Let me take you home then,"
Vin stood and offered her his hands for support. He didn't have to go to their practice because they were resting after a long practice over the weekend.

"I love it over here, it's quiet, calm and had a good view of the city and the ground below." Said Clara as she watched the birds that were chirping on the jacaranda tree.
Damien looked at the building and back at Clara. "Come here," she gestured.
Clara moved to him and sat in between his legs.
"Look over there," pointed Damien and Clara's eyes moved with the direction of Damien's hand.
"Seriously? That's the cafeteria Damien,"
Damien chuckled and looked back at Clara who faced her up
"That is the cafeteria baby, and that's why I look at it every day during lunchtime," said Damien removing a strand of hair from Clara's face.
"That is not the only thing baby" smiled Damien while kissing Clara's face.
Clara turned her face and looked at him amused. "I don't see anything interesting in the cafeteria, Damien,"
"You don't see it cause you are not interested in it sweetheart, Look at it again," urged Damien.
"You see baby, this was the only place I can sit every lunchtime and admire the most beautiful girl in the school. You always sit at the edge don't you?" Asked Damien eyeing Clara.
Clara was now attentive and looked down at the school cafeteria. She realized that sitting on the rooftop, it will be easy for you to see everything happening in the cafeteria but people from the cafeteria won't see anybody sitting on the rooftop.
"For how long have you been coming here Damien?" asked Clara curious of how he went to the extreme of sitting on the rooftop every inch time just to see her.
Damien was lost in deep thoughts, he did not want to tell Clara that ever since she transferred to Blue Mountain being assigned as her tour guide around the school but Daniella took the opportunity because they had been friends from middle school.
Damien was not able to get close to Clara because she was always with Daniella and also Damien was one class ahead of her. The only time they got to meet was once in a while in the Library when Clara would come to finish her assignment up.
"Are you following me?" Asked Clara one day when they coincidentally collided in the Library shelve making all books stumbling on the floor.
"No!" This is my Library time, you can look at my cloaking times from day one." Damien defended himself.
"Can you make sure you arrange all those books together, am not going to do that after you threw all of them down," shouted the librarian.
"You should change your schedule because you are irritating with our coincidental meetings here," grinned Clara picking books as she gave them to Damien to arrange them on the shelves.
"You know you should have said something nicer about my looks and about how you can't concentrate when you see me in here," joked Damien as he picked the hooks from her brushing his palms against her.
"You wish, I have a hotter boyfriend than you asshole,"
Damien looked at her and feigned a disappointed look, "ouch, am hurt."
Clara avoided her and went on picking the books while handing them over without giving him eye contact.
Damien, being good at multitasking was busy admiring her beauty as he carefully placed the books on the shelves.
Her blond hair was left loose and wavy masking her face, she kept removing some strands of hair and placing them at the back of her ears, her eyes, natural black but he loved how they sometimes shine when she was talking or when she is excited about something. Bending to pick a book from the ground, Damien noticed a purple colouring on her back,
"What happened to your back Clara?" Damien asked frowning while lifting Clara's shirt.
He was outraged looking at the purple marks that were on her milky white skin.
"Is your boyfriend beating you up Clara," asked Damien with an angry tone.
"It's none of your business Damien," said Clara while handing him the last book and stormed out of the room.
Damien was angry and couldn't withstand it. He felt like a knife slashing through his skin as he saw the purple marks on Clara's skin. He was okay with Clara having a boyfriend but if that boyfriend was laying a hand on her, that was not okay. He picked up his bag and run after Clara but he couldn't find her. He decided to wait by the school gate in case Daniella and she was walking home but he was disappointed when he saw her being driven in Daniella's car.
Damien was determined to make sure Clara was okay and nothing happens to her. He took his bike and pedalled down to her house to wait for her.
He packed his bike at a safer distance where no one will notice him and waited for Daniella to drop Clara. After waiting for twenty minutes, Clara was dropped off by Daniella who then rode off and Clara climbed off to her house her aunt was home so Vin figured it would be difficult to go talk to Clara. He sat at his point thinking of what to lie about so that her aunt would agree to let them have some alone time.
He walked bravely into Clara's porch and rang the bell.
"How may I help you?" Asked Clara's aunt respectful.
"Am Damien, Clara's classmate, she asked me if I can help her with maths calculation today but I forgot to do it and I thought maybe I could make it up to her since we have exams in one week, that if it's okay with you," rapped Damien without dropping to catch a breath.
Clara's Aunt looked at him and wanted to laugh out but contained herself.
"It's okay Damien, I was heading off for a book club anyway, take all the time you want," said Clara's Aunt.
"What a lucky day!" thought Damien to himself.
