57:THURIBLE.

"Nice lie mama," I thought to myself. I wondered how did she get that courage to say all that, if someone was to ask me why the white and not black, ooh my I could have growled about a million reasons and shouted about my dead ass beat dad for fucking my life up.

"That's why it's your mum, not you," said my girl.

"And what would you have said?" I asked her.

"Cried just like you are crying in the inside!" She jeered before escaping again.

"Daniella! Do you support your mother's words?" One of the reporters shouted.

Vin was by my side and didn't let me go. He made sure my head was down to avoid unnecessary pictures of me.

"Just keep quiet and keep walking," said Vin as he squeezed my hand to assure me that everything will be okay.

I nodded and kept walking.

People in black, men and women, old and young were standing by the sides as they watch my mum and I walk towards the church. The church seemed far away but I didn't tire myself from walking. I pushed and one leg then the other.

Songs of praise were sung, as much as they were of praise, they instilled sadness with a faint tone.

The bodyguards were there to guide us in every step we take.  We entered the church.

"Damn!" Said, my girl.

"I know right?" I replied shocked.

The church was beautifully decorated. I looked at the mahogany seats that were attached with flowers. Someone would have thought that the bride and the bridegroom would be walking in soon. There were many seats in neat rows. I wasn't tall enough to see what was in front of me, but I guess this was an assuaging place someone ought to indulge with once in a time. The two pools of water placed in some gold bowls raised a little bit was put first stop. I saw as my mum dipped her hands inside the bowl them make a sign of the cross using the same hands.

I don't know the importance of but what do they say, there is the first time for everything.

Vin accompanied me after my mum and Emma were done with the process, I decided to dip my hands in you never know I might get some little savings before this ceremony starts.

"Your right baby!" Shouted Vin silently as I was about to dip my left hand inside the gold bowl.

I stopped and threw a gaze at him, "what's wrong with my left hand?" I asked silently.

Instead of replying to me, he picked my right hand and dipped it into the water and did a cross sign on me hurriedly.

My first stop was ruined.

The songs had stopped, I could only hear the instruments being played in a low tone. I wanted dearly to see the human beings playing the instruments so dedicated then I remember Davids had said they will play at the funeral and I lost psych in the instruments.

No one else has been allowed inside the church yet, it seems the process was not yet complete until we, the family, were already in and settled.

Our next stop came at the boot, just before you get to the seats. My mother was standing on one side while I was standing on the other side. A path was left in between where the red carpet was still laid out.

Suddenly the instruments began again, and a man in white robes came in slowly. With a gold....., "wait is that a thurible?"

"Whatever it is just follow and shut it!" Warned Vin.

I frowned, why has he started getting mad this early?

I just wondered why use thurible in church, most witches use it.

"Just focus baby girl," said my girl.

Am sure she is also shocked the way am shocked.

It seems it was the priest. He was throwing the terrible up and down while it leaves behind some beautiful smell.

"God I can run just to follow that smell." My baby instinct said before my grown-up taking over.

Besides him were two boys who were holding a Bible which I saw and some other things which I don't know because it seems the way he was too heavy, he needed some heavy things with him along.

After they had walked until in the middle, that's when we were allowed to follow him.

"Don't you think he will but himself throwing that thing up," I asked the girl in me?

She quickly jumped out and joined me in my conversations.

"Girl, look at him, he is a no priest, people out here are for hire!"

"For real?" I asked her shocked with her realization.

I tried elongating my neck to see whether I would see the huge man again but nope, the bodyguards in front of us had already blocked him and we couldn't see shit with my girl.

My mum this whole time has been with Emma, I have seen her glance at me even for a second. Maybe let's throw the blame on who this drama will be over soon and I will see his face.

I bet she is acting rye the good widow she always is. Crying like a river, Emma drying her years after Avery second and assuring her thing will be okay, she goes silent then breaks again into her tears.

"Hope you don't drain yourself, mama, we have some mimicking to do later in the evening," I say to myself.

"Is the walking still far, am almost tired," I cried to Vin.

He looked at me the
