Gggggg
It was diner time, sometimes in here, you just look at food and that's all you want, sometimes you have what is served bit the growling on your stomach says otherwise and you have to tackle it down no matter how it looks like. I was choosy at first, some days I will go to bed on an empty stomach and some days I would wait on Abigael to get me one of the goodies she got from her gambling. Some days she got lucky, the officer who came to escort me is his 'lover,' and he gets her lots of goodies. What I don't understand is the type of love they have in here while the man might be having a wife and kids at home.
I fear for Abigael, she might be pregnant, when I saw her in the morning, throwing up, that was nothing, I know it was something. She doesn't care, I know she will come up with some stupid solutions to her problems, what I hope, she doesn't abort the child because that will be chaos in the cell and she can even be jailed for it.
I dragged my feet and held out my for the server, staring down the queue, I saw several people servo g food and Tanya was among the ones serving us today.
Miss P had even stationed some of her people in the kitchen to make sure that whatever was coming in passed through her first before any9ne knew about it.
In the letters that she send, she used the delivery vehicle which delivers groceries or even prison meat. The contrabands that they trade are sometimes done by the guards or some of the delivery guys pack them as groceries and the intended person picks them up.
That's how people got drugs, various food, fruits and a lot more. Though when things get uglier in here it is always chaos and you wouldn't want to be a part of it. Sometimes, inmates kill each other because they have dt8len the deliveries that were made.
This mostly applied to drugs, those who had been hooked on it, found it difficult to cope without any and they will do anything to get even a sniff of it. This makes them steal, or take other people's food and trade them for the drug.
I watched as Tanya piled the salad on the two ladies in front of me. Salad is the tasty thing in here though you get one berry and some leaves, I always enjoy them, unlike meat or rice that is cooked in a porridge manner.
I was afraid that maybe she will refuse to pile my plate if I ask her, I just stepped in front of her without any hopes expecting her to give me something that could hold my stomach till morning.
"You know, you will have to lick me to get a good part of the salad?" She started as I handed her the plate.
I was not into her mood right now, but I had no otherwise, it's either I was going to be patient and seduce her nicely or go to bed hungry.
I don't want to take option two, Abigael didn't get any goodies today so I will be hungry for the rest of the night.
She picked the leaves and place them on my plate. I didn't know if she wanted me to feed on just two leaves and be okay? Thinking that she was going to add some fruits she didn't instead she gave me the look of, "beg me please!"
"Are you sure this will make fill Tanya?" I asked as I looked at the plate then glared at her.
"Move it, others want food," shouted someone from behind me.
I just looked at Tanya and walked having the two leaves of greens as my salad.
I tried to eye Abigael. Looking at everyone and then I saw her, sitting near the entrance where guard Matteo was standing as he watched how people were eating.
Avoiding them, I left her to deal with her lover, I picked a different table. It was empty and most people were not seating on it.
I just concluded that maybe it had some problems to make it vacant. I didn't mind, instead, I went and sat there but there was nothing wrong with it, and as for me, everything was wrong.
Everyone turned around and looked at me as I sat down.
"Get the fuck out of that place," shouted one of the inmates.
I didn't know whom he was talking about. So u went on sitting like I don't hear anybody talk.
Suddenly I felt a hand in my shoulder roughing.
"I have said let everything down and walk out of the place, look for another 0lace!" Shouted the lady. I quickly stood up and sat aside from the chair. I don't know why they didn't want me spotted there though it was just a normal chair.
Abigael seeing me thrown out of the chair quickly came to my aid.
"What happened to sit together?" She Sked me.
"Your man was just making his business all about you. He couldn't look anywhere so I came to take my lunch here!" I said looking at her.
"Well that's a no go zone, it's preserved for one of the greatest inmates who died because the guards were assuming that she was not sick yet was ill."
It then hit me, that I have never seen any9ne here. The whole time we come in here it's just the same. I must have been stupid not to. seen it.
I walked back with Abigael to her seat. I didn't want to be alone because of what just happened. I feared that people might get angered and start throwing their frustrations at me.
Walking over, I accidentally stepped on a certain lady who was sitting on the bench alone. She gave me a death glare and told up with a sharpened toothbrush in her hands.
"I am sorry, I am so sorry," I said quickly, but she was not listening to me.
I decided to leave the plate there and rush out of the place, other people should as the watched me run and one of the passed in front of me pushing my font I the floor and I felt something deep inside my belly. There was no pain but the deepness of the to could be felt.
The person on top of me went ahead to the diploma the thing inside her hands on my belly.
I could t move, I could t even feel my legs, all I could feel was nothing. I just saw people hovering around me as they saw my clothing was all covered in blood.
Someone had stabbed me, three times, on my belly. "Mama, mama please I don't want that," I cried as I felt all the blood in my body stop.
People around me tried their best to keep me alive as the bl9of was flowing to the other parts of the body and it was not looking g good
Abigael jumped in front of me and started to forcefully open my eyes. I do t know why she was lifting my eyelids because I was still awake just closed in a motion where it was now hard for me to lift my eyeballs.
"Hey you, Davids, wake up, it'd me wake up!" Said Abigael as she shook my body trying to wake me up. I was not waking. I wanted to talk to her but I couldn't.
I saw the paramedics lift my body and place it on the stretcher. I didn't want to get out of the place. I just wanted to be here and maybe go to the Infirmary section. I feared that maybe someone might be sent to the hospital and me.
I didn't want to go, but how could I tell these guys that I do t want to go because all my body could do, was hopeless, it could t nice and I could t take it because of the shock.
I suddenly felt my eyes give up, I could see darkness was knocking at the periphery of my eyes and I knew I was going to lose it.
Being escorted to the ambulance, I saw the lady who stabbed me, dropping the knife in one of the inmate's pockets and walking out of the room.
I feared that I may be paralysed for the rest of my years. With the way, I couldn't even move any part of my body or was like hell. Being still, unable to move even a hot is not a play.
I started regretting every decision that made here. Coming into this cell, avoiding Abigael and ending up in this place where you have to look your back every second son that your fellow person would kill you.
I let my eyes close, but they couldn't, in was afraid of the dark. I didn't want to face the dark side, I just wanted to know how the bright side looks like.
