This is just a synopsis to the new story I am working on. Just giving you some juice before I'm the real thing👺👺👺
"Mum, can someone open the door for me please, my door can't open, mum, dad, can anybody hear me? Open the door please I can't open the door!"
A little soprano voice was shouting from the room upstairs. Her voice could be heard all over the room but no one was coming to her aid. The maids downstairs were busying themselves as if there was no one shouting.
"Focus!" Shouted the woman in the black lady's suit as she sips her cup of tea.
"We should have just opened the door for her and let her breathe some fresh air maybe for the last time, before giving her off," said a man's voice.
"So that she can run away and leave us here to suffer? Have you heard about the man you are taking your daughter to, he gets what he wants and if we don't give her up then we might as well be six feet deep or be sold to some gangs in Afghanistan to be slaves who make bombs and sent to die for nothing, I am not doing that!"
"You know very well she was not the one supposed to go, but you just had to force her to go?" Shouted the man before standing from the table and heading outside leaving his wife and their older daughter at the table to eat their food.
"Jesus, must he change his mood every second, it's even boring." Said the girl at the table.
"I don't even care about him, I just want this done," said the woman while brushing the idea off.
" Uhm, as I was saying, I am going and I don't even know when I will be back mama, so you enjoy your happy selling, and it better be on a good price, not some cheap cash that you will swindle and after a week you are back there begging," said the girl.
"No, you can't go, you must know to whom we are selling your sister," said the woman.
"The last time I remember, we were not related so that's none of my business!" Said the girl in an almost whisper manner.
"And I have said you are going to wait and see, to whom your sister is going to before you start pouting your big mouth like a duck trying to suck water from a dirty pond!" Shouted the mother and the younger girl sneered secretly before heading out and leaving her mother alone in the dining room.
She didn't care, instead, she went ahead to eat the food that was on her plate before wiping her mouth with the table clothe.
She looked at her phone, took some selfies and posted them on social media.
"Can someone open the door for me please?" Came the voice from up the stairs.
"Can someone please, tell that little hornbill to shut her beak up I am already tired of her noise, it's making my head, ache!" Shouted the woman from her table. One of the maids rushed upstairs.
"Your mother has said you keep it down, they will open your door in a moment.," said the maid at the door.
"What's happening that they don't want me to go downstairs, I am getting late for my job and I might get fired for it," asked the lady from the room.
"I think something happened to your door in the morning, and the dont want to break it down. Someone is coming to open it for you, just keep quiet," said the maid.
The maid was trying all her best to calm her down. She knew none of those were the words from the madame, all she was told was to ask her to keep quiet but she was not going to tell her that.
"Okay, I will keep it down but can I get anything because all my gadgets are downstairs," said the girl.
"I am sorry but I know you will be out of here in a second, just be calm, you can take shower or do some cleaning meanwhile," that's was the last statement before the maid walked away leaving her inside the room all alone again.
The young lady didn't know what to do, now that she can't go downstairs, all she could think of was bathing, doing some little yoga and maybe planning for her day which she had already done the previous night.
Bored with being inside the room, she went to clean her bathroom. Something she does every day because she never wants anyone doing it for her.
After she was done, she washed up and walked to the door trying to check if they had opened the door for her. She couldn't see even through the keyhole, all she saw was something had covered the keyhole and the whole hallway was dark.
She walked back and stood by the window, she got excited when she saw her dad standing by the flower garden talking to his phone.
"Dad, dad, my door is not opening," cried the girl as he tapped on the window that was now not opening.
"What the hell, even my windows are not opening?" She mumbled as she tried to open them but they were not.
Her parents had made all windows bullet restraints and it was hard trying to break them. He tried to hit them with her little fist but her dad was not hearing any sound.
All the happiness faded from her face when she saw her dad walking back and disappearing from the flower garden.
She tried to think what might have happened to make both her door and window close. She didn't bang the door with force yesterday, she has been careful not to do that.
This had been her sister's room. It was designed very differently from the other rooms because she wanted privacy when doing her YouTube videos and podcast during the pandemic. After the pandemic, she asked her if they could exchange the room and since she eyed her sister's room but couldn't get money to make hers the same way she quickly agreed and was given the room.
Right now she regrets taking the room because she didn't know that it could close itself but she still wasn't sure about this part.
She tried to look at her watch from the bedside, it was already eleven, being a Saturday, she knew her classes were over and maybe she was called the whole day but no one received her Call.
'Maybe my parents said that I won't be going because of the door,' she thought to herself as she looked around the room.
She has never been in this situation, so she walked around the room as if this was her first day to be inside this place. The pictures are on the wall. The children she taught were all happy and to some point, she wished she could be you again young but no, admiring the ring on her finger, she knew soon she will be married to the love of her life and couldn't wait to start a family with him.
She kissed the ring and smiled at it, "I am happy about the new stage of my life and for being chosen by the most important man who loves me," she said as she twisted the ring and fixed it but it accidentally fell off on the ground.
"Oh no," she cried as she picked it up and tried to put it back into her hand but it was not fitting.
"But you just came off, you can as well go back," she was confronting her ring which now couldn't go back into her finger.
She rushed to the washroom and tried some soap on her hands to make them slippery but the ring couldnt go back on her finger.
"No, you can't do this to me, my fiancee will think I went to whore around and removed you from my hand to have a good time, so please go back in and be the good girl you are because I love you on my finger," she said to the ring but all the attempts were not working.
She decided to calm down, maybe she was nervous that the ring was not going in.
She placed the ring on the table and looked at the room, she didn't know whether to make another poem for her fiancee or a song, she was a bad singer but writing poems and songs was one of her favourite things she did during her free time.
She decided to remove the secret book she hid in between the mattress, she never wanted anyone to see the book, so she opened the blank page, so far she had three hundred and ninety-nine poems and songs written there.
"What if we write the four hundred songs or poems then when we begin a new chapter we will be writing about our married life," she said to the book.
She immersed herself into the book and started penning down her heart and how she felt.
She always started with 'Dear,'
Today she started with 'Dear,' looked at the ring and then back at the book but was lost on who to address.
'Have I used all the nice words on the three hundred words to have nothing to call him today?' She thought to herself as she looked through her pages. She never does that, she just starts placing the pen and suddenly the words pour from her heart and she writes them down but that was not working g today.
