234: I Don't Love Her!
It has been five years, five whole years of waiting for justice, five years of enduring pain, five years of being called names, working extremely hard and making sure that you dont mess things up.
Davids was released from prison a year ago, made sure that she looked around for Claire but she couldn't find Claire. Asking around where she used to live, their house had been converted into a huge building and it looked like a museum now. There were just some leftovers of Mr Clanks' work. They were left to be displayed to the public after his arrest.
Vicky and the team did a good job to make sure that they were caught but Vin escaped through the thin air and has never been seen. Some people believe that he escaped with Daniella, some say Daniella escaped with their house help, to some, they think that karma was up on Vin and maybe something bad happened to him.
As for Lady Boo, she is a mystery too. Maybe she runs away with Vin and they are still at large.
Davids was from the prison to visit Abigael. She has wanted to visit the place and today she felt relieved to see that everything is going on well and her charity donation inside the prison is helping. Though she can't change everything completely.
Some inmates are still in their bad ways, trying to cause problems inside the place and some minimal manslaughter by fellow prisoners. She is still advocating for the place to be a rehabilitation centre but hasn't come up with the main idea on how to do it.
"Why are we standing here daddy?" Asked Rose.
Rose is an inquisitive kid, very talkative when he finds someone to talk to. Today he is happy, he had been told that his mother is in prison, he didn't hold that against her, maybe he might be questioning that in the future but right now, he was happy that he got to see her.
They were standing in what used to be 'The Clank's' empire. The huge wall that was almost eight meters high has been broken down and now it was made of wire mesh and someone could see through it.
It was like Ann Frank's house where they used to hide during the Nazi war in England.
The place has been named, 'The Infamous,' though it doesn't look like the infamous place as its name.
When the news broke out on what The Clanks have been doing, all the operations and their hidden activities, their place was seized down and they found lots of things in the house. These things are still in there and Davids thought she could visit this place today to have a look at it.
"Maybe I might get an idea of where they went," she mumbled to herself.
The house was not done, there were still some searches that were going on because people claimed that there might be hidden passages down the floor or in the basement that led to the secret lab.
"We are here because it's a memorable site, we are just taking a tour sweetheart," she told Rose.
"Mmmh, a tour, the place has been labelled 'Infamous,' why should you think it's memorable?" Asked Rose with a hand on his chin.
"Rose, respect the area, when we are done, you will be able to tell me whether it's a memorable site or it's not, and if it's memorable, you are going to miss watching your movie today and write about this place and draw it," Davids said to him.
"Okay, I zip my big mouth and let me throw the key at the entrance, I will pick it up while we are leaving," said Rose.
Davids laughed at him.
"Come one, you can ask questions and you can talk, is that okay, but don't touch," said Davids.
Rise nodded his head and they marched into the area.
Arriving at the entrance, Davids fished out his special card and she was allowed in.
The area looked big, the walls had not been removed so it will be easy to locate Daniella's room.
There were skeletons on the ground floor, the skeleton of bodies that were buried underneath the floor, hidden but were excavated by the FBI team. Some special cinematic were highlighted and they were the ones used to present the skeleton.
Davids didn't concentrate much on the things around. Her main aim was to go into Daniella's room. She knew it with the stickers on the door. One push and the door opened. It looked like the room had not been searched so there was nothing taken from the room.
She went and sat on the bed, Rose was looking around, not touching things but looking with his eyes one by one. The bed was well spread and it had a pink colour on the wall. At the study table, the books were neatly placed at the table. Davids stretched her hands to touch the books but Rose's hands slapped her hands.
"Ouch, what was that for?" She asked.
"You said, no touching, I am making sure no one touches, unless they will implicate you as the criminal," said Rose while looking at Davids.
"Okay, come here," Davids pulled her closer to him and brushed his hair with her hands, "we are going to do a check here, make sure that you return everything the way it was, don't misplace, can you do that for me?"
Rose nodded and a half-smile formed on his cheeks.
He was searching on the table but Davids was busy in the closet where she found no clothes, Daniella. The place was empty, it was only her shoes remaining there, and they looked like old shoes that she couldn't wear.
"These are just school books, Daddy, I can't, wait there is a letter here do you want me to read it?"
Hearing the word, Davids quickly snatched it from Rose's hands, "sorry, it's an over eighteen thing, you are still seven, sorry."
Rose pouted his lips and frowned at her. He knew whenever he is not allowed to see something it was because it had some secrets with it. He let it slide but not before giving Davids a look.
"Okay, okay, I won't give it to you because I have to know they didn't use, F words and other words," said Davids.
"Ooh, like an asshole, dumb ass, and stupudo?" Asked Rose counting the words with his hands.
He knows those are the words he was told not to use to accuse people and he still remembers them very well.
"Good, you are still remembering them, I am happy that you know them, keep digging you might find something else."
"I don't think so, there is nothing more unless you want me to steal the books which are illegal?" Asked Rose while showing Davids the book.
Davids looked at the books herself and realised that it was nothing important in there. After sometimes they were done with looking around. There was nothing important left around.
Maybe they were mainly focusing on Mr Clanks' work that he had left behind. He didn't reveal much but from the interview that he held in prison, he boasted of how he has made a legendary move in the world and he is now recognised for that. He criticised Mr Black and the other officers for being people who are looking down on him and are jealous of what he has done.
Though most people are suggesting that he be given an opportunity in the medical field and help the government come up with various important things, some have declined and claimed that to be unfair. He murdered people, turned people into animals and they can't just let him go away with that. He is scheduled for the death penalty next month. Most people are happy about it, but for some, they are still sad. Their loved ones are trying to be changed back to normal but it's a hard job.
Mr Black and other doctors are trying in every way possible to make sure that they are brought back to normal.
They were checked after they left the house, but since Rose was a child, he couldn't be checked, so Davids hid the letter in his pockets.
"You were sad when you were in that house, was that your home?" Asked Rose when they were being driven to the airport.
Davids looked at him. Rose has been her comfort, her friend for the last year when she was released from jail and found innocent. Davids hated going back to her family house. She didn't trust to be calm around the place, not like she hated her parents for doing anything, no, she feared that she might burst it them any moment.
She bought a house just away from them, it was a penthouse. Though her father had given her one of the hotels from the numerous family hotels, Davids bought it, she knew it was time to stop being dependent on the family, she is a grown-up, and at twenty-four, she wanted to be independent. She still visits her family every Sunday where they meet for dinner and brunch. She is the young CEO of her father's company, Brian has taken over Vicky's company. What Mike and Vicky do nowadays is travel around the world.
Annie and Andrew, have decided to go on a long vacation in Switzerland. That's where Andrew's parents came from. They call once in a while, though they believe they are in safe hands and they don't have anything to worry about.
Rose, Rose is the person who helps to control her temper and anger.
Just like her mother, who made sure she was happy while in prison. She is always grateful to have him around.
"That's my girlfriend's room, I loved her but I think love fades sometimes. I just wanted to make sure that everything was okay, it was like closure to me when I went there you know," said Davids.
Rose scratched his head trying to figure something out.
"What is Closure again?" He asked looking at Davids.
"Something you have to do, to be done with something you have held for long," said Davids.
"I am not having closure on my mother right?" Asked Rose and Davids chuckled.
"Hell no, your mum is important and you are not allowed to do that or disrespect her even if she is inside there," said Davids in a stern voice.
"Yes Daddy, but why are you calling closure when you go to your girlfriend's house?" Asked Rose with a sad tone.
"I don't love her anymore, now let's get on the plane and get back to New York!"
