308: Decide For Yourself.

"Nimo baby, you don't have to do it if you can, okay, your sibling is not here, we just want to hear from you, what happened and how it happened. I want you to be free and tell us what happened."

"Sometimes, all I think about is that. I am seeing her on my face all again. Looking at me with these bad eyes, I am afraid that it's going to make me lose my concentration in my game and I don't want to lose it. I dream of her, I dream she is coming to get me again and every time she comes, I am afraid."

Daniella and Davids were trying their best to help Nimo with the post-trauma. They knew their daughter is going through some difficulties. They were afraid that maybe she is trying to make her friends think she is tough but she is not tough. Davids was holding her and Daniella couldn't help but shade a tear. She knew how it feels to have a nightmare of someone who assaulted you. Her daughter wouldn't focus for long. She will be afraid that someone is after her. Though she had killed Amanda, she didn't know how to make Nimo forget about her.

               "Why didn't you say, why are you not talking about it?"

Nimo held Davids's neck and hide there. 

"I am afraid of what my friends would think of me. I don't want to make them feel that I am weak. I saw mum cry every day but at the same time, mum, you used to be strong, I am trying to be that lady for Zeke and Rose. They need me to be seeing for them."

This was hard for Daniella to take. She stood and went to the bathroom. Leaving Davids and Nimo to talk. She couldn't believe her daughter knew she used to cry every night.

"You know, your mum was sad because I was never there, I had gone somewhere very far away and I couldn't come home to you guys. I love your mum with every nerve of my body but I had to leave and go far away for you to be safe. Right now, you don't have to worry. You can be strong in front of your friends, show them that nothing scares you but when you are with me or your mum, cry all you want. Tell us what is bothering you and I will work on it. The same way your mum used to cry but when sje was with you, she was all strong. You didn't have to act around us, we love you baby and everything is going to be fine."

Nimo looked at Davids and she was happy that someone was there for her, comforting her in everything. She didn't want to feel alone and right now, she was feeling loved. She wanted that. She smiled at her and kissed her on the cheeks like the baby she is.

            "See, it's not disgusting the way you thought it is."

"Just know, if you do it with a boy, you will get pregnant and you will stop playing basketball."

Nimo widened her eyes and she didn't know what Davids was talking about. when someone mentions that she won't play basketball she knows very well she wants to play it until she dies she was not going to let anything come her way.

"Wait but Jade kissed me on the forehead and I am not pregnant."

"Baby, stop giving her some weird idea. It's okay Nimo. Don't allow everyone to be kissing you anyhow. Kissing is for someone special in your life. Now, here is a cup of milo don't tell your brothers I gave you, okay?"

They sipped their drink while Nimo started explaining how everything went down.

"We were from P.E and I wanted to shower before I go to class because we had a break. I was the last to get into the bathroom because I was also the last to go for P.E, speak of which, my P.E shirt is torn and I had to borrow one from Jade so I was punished for that. When I was in the bathroom, all lights went off and I was all alone. It's school and I know, nothing is going to happen. I went on showering until I felt something behind me. It had this ugly mask on and went on to scare me. I wanted to scream but my mouth and nose were both closed making it difficult for me to do anything. I was afraid. In my mind, I just thought I will never see you guys. That's why I had to talk and ask if you knew me because I wanted to see you guys again. It was painful because I felt the heavy smell on my nose and I couldn't help but cry."

She was crying and the pain that her parents felt as she relayed everything was too much. They hushed her and asked her to take her drink as they listened to her. When they were done, they asked her if it will be okay to seek medical help 

"You think, the person will help me from all this, I just want to sleep beside you guys until I am fine."

Daniella looked at Davids who nodded for her to be sleeping there. 

"You will be having practice, but I will be tagging along and at the same time you will be homeschooled for a while before you go back. We need to make sure that the psychologist approves that you are good to go, is that okay?"

Nimo didn't love the idea of being homeschooled. She wanted to be in school with other pupils too. She felt like she was going to miss every one of them. She had to because she was going to be home until her parents proves she is fit for the school.

"What about Rose and Zeke, will they be homeschooled too?

"No, they will go to school baby, you will eventually go to school too, don't worry, it will be okay, I will get you a good tutor who will make sure you understand everything. Maybe I will bring Jade's mum to tutor you."

"No, jade said she is strict when teaching math, plus she uses tough vocabulary when teaching English, can I have another tutor?"

Davids and Daniella smiled. They were okay with their daughter getting something else apart from strict people in life. Though Davids loves Claire,  she thought of a way to convince Nimo to pick Jade's mother.

They were sitting on the bed, done with their drinks when a phone rang, Davids was sure no one was going to call her at that time, looking at the clock, it was I'll even at night. 

Daniella picked up her phone and it was not the one line ringing, Davids groaned while looking at her phone, an unknown number.

       "Black speaking?"

"You have received a call from the upper hill police station to accept dial one, to decline dial two."

Daniella looked at Davids, then Nimo had to raise her big ears to listen to whoever was calling from the police station.

"Hey, dad, I have been locked up for bad behavior and making noise in the street will you please come over?"

It was Ashley trying to act like a small baby. She spoke to Davids and said that three of them were arrested by the police after they were walking back home.

"Nimo, you now see the problems of partying, it leads you to hell, Ashley and Uncle Brian are in prison for doing that."

Nimo laughed beside her mother as Davids was trying to lecture her. Davids turned to look at them. She knew she might end up being the big party star she knows about.

She asked Daniella to be calm in the house as she went to pick up Ashley and the team from prison. Daniella assured her that they will be okay.

Arriving at the station, she found Ashley all ruined, her make-up was washed off and her eyes were red, plus she was frunk. Going to Brain and Pete's cell, they were given one cell and they were just making out not bothered by any of it 

"Maybe you two should go on with making out and be released in the morning."

"Shit, Ashley called you, they were even arresting us for nothing. They just want us in here."

Davids asked the guard to open the door for them. Brian in turn tapped the guard and told him bye-bye seductively.

             "Pete, should we call Dominic to take you home?"

Pete immediately sobered up and looked at Davids with pleading eyes. 

"He will kill me, can't I sleep in your house and go back home tomorrow, please don't tell him, he will fire me and even ask me to clean his house for the whole week."

Davids looked at Brian 

            "You want me to call Dad, he will take you home to sleep."

"Don't even try, I will strangle you to death. You want him to start giving a lecture on how can go somewhere without counseling problems?"

Davids went back to Ashley, she couldn't ask her anything, she was sleeping in the chair with her head almost falling. To avoid anyone knowing what was happening, Davids used the back garage and parked the vehicle there. The carried Ashely to sleep and Nimo was surprised by how she looked.

"Was she beaten up or what happened, she looks like a mad woman. Are you sure that is Ashley?"

"Enough with the questions, help your mum clean her up, Brian take the guest room with your inmate, make sure you clean the room in the morning."

Brian nodded and dragged Pete with him.

"Are you sure I will look like this after a party, she was beautiful when she walked from here, maybe she did something."

"Nimo, alcohol is good and at the same time, it's bad for yourself. What you are seeing here is alcohol, decide for yourself."
