Linda was in a medically-induced coma to help her get better and has no idea that her mother has been called. Linda's mother and Joshua walked into his office then he offered her a seat as she kept asking about her daughter's condition. Joshua was very honest with her as he told her that they do not know who was after Linda's life but it was obvious that she was injected with an overdose of a drug and whoever did that did not intend to scare her but to cause harm. He also told her that it was a miracle that her baby is still alright.  Hearing that Linda was pregnant gave her mother a shock and she said "are you sure your test results are accurate? Linda cannot be pregnant because she is not a person like that. In searching for her, we have come across different stories about her but none of them talked about her having sex with her partners. Linda has always been a family-oriented person. So, if she is pregnant now, it only means that she got married without letting her family know about it because she has always made it clear to everyone that she will only lose her virginity to the man she gets married to. Josh looked at the woman again and said "I am very sure that she is not married because she is pregnant for me."

The woman laughed "are you trying to pull my legs? Because if you are, this is not the time for jokes. So where were you when she was injected with an overdose or were you the one who did it because you wanted to kill her? If you were really proud to be the father of her child, why didn't you tell me right away but instead you left me hanging while I was guessing around. Didn't you ever ask the woman who is pregnant for you about her family? Or did you think that she just popped up from the ground or dropped from the sky?" Joshua saw that the woman is now pissed so he began to calm her down by trying to explain himself to her but unfortunately, his words meant nothing to her. While she was busy asking numerous questions, he decided to interrupt her because has seen that if he keeps letting her talk, she will keep coming up with new accusations. "Very soon your daughter will wake up and when she does, please ask her who is responsible for what happened to her. Madam, I respect you because you are the mother of the woman who is carrying my child but that does not give you the right to walk into my office and start laying baseless accusations on me. If you think that I am responsible for what happened to your daughter then called the police and let proper investigations be carried out." Linda's mother got surprised when she heard Joshua talking to her with a hardened voice. She was almost confused because she couldn't relate this person to the Doctor Who was talking to her friendly a while ago. She stood from her seat and looked at him intensely as her mind told her that he has something to do with her daughter's condition. She chuckled because she could not believe that her daughter who talks big will end up with a piece of trash like this doctor here. "My daughter deserves better and I don't know the reason she brought herself so low as to associate with people who are below her standards." 

"Madam it is obvious now why your daughter ran away from home. She got tired of this attitude that you are putting up. Initially, when you came in I was blaming her in my mind as I felt that she was unreasonable for leaving home but after having a conversation with you for less than five minutes, I have come to understand why she never wanted you to find her. If you have anything to discuss about your daughter's condition, you are free to stay so that we can talk but if you are here to blame others instead of yourself for not being a good mother, you can please leave my office as this is a hospital and we don't need noise else I will get the security to throw you out." 

 The woman smiled to herself "Linda so this is what you have subjected your mother to. Linda's mother made up her mind that she will not leave without her daughter. She walked around the apartment and saw that her daughter has not lost her taste for luxury yet but it seems that she has lost her sense of space.

Linda found herself roaming in the dark and kept wondering how she got here because it doesn't look like anywhere that she has been before. Even at night, it's never as dark as this. She began to grope in the darkness just wandering around without knowing where she was going to and was hoping that she will get to a place where there will be light. While roaming, she could see a tiny ray of light so she began to run towards it. She ran for a while and was out of breath by the time she got to where the light was coming from but she was determined to get out of this darkness so she kept following the light and just when she got very close to the light, she heard her mother's voice and decided to stop walking towards the light as she turned around and started running back into the darkness where she came from.

Joshua was wondering why Linda was not awake yet because she was supposed to be awake by this time already. He walked into her ward and sat on the chair as he held her hand and was talking to her. "Linda, you had better come awake and not die from here so that I won't leave the rest of my life in guilt. Even if you hate me so much, this is not a way that you should use in destroying me because a punishment like this will be too hard on me. If at all, you don't want to wake up, I would like you to consider our child because that child really wants to come into this world that's why it persevered with everything that you went through yesterday. We as doctors have tried our best, now it is left to you the patient to do what you must. Do not forget that you once promised yourself that you will never take your life because there is nothing worth taking your life for in this world. I love you and I'm very sorry for judging you wrongly when this happened to you. I know that you must hate me but if you don't wake up, how can you take your anger out on me? Please you have to come out fast because your mum is here creating a scene and I can't handle it for long.

Linda ran into another direction in the darkness and could hear Josh talking to her from a distance. Although she was still angry at him, she wanted to see him also and she will rather follow his voice than her mother's. As she kept running towards the voice, the voice began to get closer and clearer. She thought that she heard something being said about her mother being here and creating a scene but she discarded it as her mind playing tricks on her. She kept following the voice and finally a very bright light came into her eyes which made her shut her eyes again.
